My only key takeaway from this is that Liverpool doesn't want to sell Nunez. I get that he might have lost his place in the team and the confidence we, Liverpool fans had in him (at one point in 2022, he was being compared to Haaland). I guess they aren't ready to sell because they feel like the moment they do, he'd be peak Nunez again.
Until Liverpool get another solid #9, need Nunez to stay.
I don't think our club is going to do any business in this January transfer window, which makes sense because all the people we want will only be available in the summer.
That also implies that we won't sell anybody in the first team.
Manchester United is seeking a high profit considering that Alejandro Garnacho was promoted from the academy. For the the £40m offered by Napoli is reasonable. Maybe they can increase it a little bit but it seems United want to collect almost all the money Napoli will earn from the sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Garnacho has been dropped consistently by Ruben Amorim in some games. This might be a clue that his service might not be in high demand. If Ruben wants hil to leave, United might lower the asking price and the deal will go through.
Now this club on the other hand does business in almost all transfer windows. To it's own detriment most of the times.
