ok anyone have any idea where i can get a converter plug for that for a 50amp pdu or where i can get the 50amp intelligent pdu from?

driving myself nuts with google

Be extremely careful if that is really 50 amp... that can kill.  When I did my mining area I shut power to my area off.  If your like my house outside your able to shut down the power.  Mine has 200 going to house, 100 going to mining area.

I always turned it off checked mains.  I also used quality tools that were non conductive.  Even overboard on meter I'm using a fluke.  240 scares me and I treat it with the utmost respect.

On PDU has anyone in here used a 50 amp PDU that seems like a ton going through it?

it can do  8 or 9 s-7's.  I never used one that big.

I do have 2x  30 amp circuits  more then I need .  The wife is not going to let me run 11kwatts between the two.

I also would not be able to cool the house off.

I haven't used 50 amp PDU either that seems like it would be commercial and very expensive.  I would almost think you would be better off starting with a 30 amp psu for decent price.  And if you really have to have 50 amp on one line, I would look into guage needed and get a Y adapter and do one 30 amp and one 20 amp.

I just think if there is a 50 amp you find it's going to cost a small fortune to buy.  Its a very high number on amps.

Check these voltages on your plug and see if your close.

But either way this will not determine if it's 3 phase, but even if it is it's safe to use with the other plug and mine.

yeah that diagram is the answer to op's question..

I wanted him to measure since I have had 3 prong plugs with 3 hot wires and a hidden illegal ground.

To go 50A on a PDU your probably looking at an IEC plug.  Different ones can be used for this.  You may want to contact Finsky as I think he sells a 50A PDU that is very cheap.

perfect, thank you so much for the help.

So now the question is what type of plug and pdu so i can plug directly into that and use the 50 amps?

Someone linked me to a plug i bought before. it converted the dryer plug in my home to a tripplite pdu female plug.

Maybe there is something like this but when i goggle i cant find anything. Me and electricity have never mixed well. I tend to be slightly impatient and this is why i like these adapter plugs and stuff. And as we all know you cant get an electrician because it will tip them off

to be more specific i am looking  for an ip pdu so i can hard reset anywhere in the world without having to have a man on site.

It is almost impossible to have 3 phase power in any 3 prong outlet. It will be 4 or 5.  Also it can show 208-240 and this is fine for single phase dual pole circuit breakers.

240 does not assure you it's not 3 phase. I have 200 S-5s running on 240 3 phase
It's called high leg or wild leg see diagram below.  The best way to tell is to open your load center and see how many hot leads you got if you got 2 it's single phase. If 3 it's 3 phase.

while you are lurking, what should i set the meter too so we are not freaking out.
ac voltage

Then you can take measurements of the voltages in the three holes.

If you are single phase when you do hot to hot you should get 240

When you do hot to ground 120

I will demo on a 240 socket in my house
