That's a first in football I believe?
A Serie C club (Rimini), Italian 3rd league, will have 25% of its shares sold in the form of a cryptocurrency transaction, following partnership with Quantocoin. Never heard about this Quantacoin before but a look on their website https://quantocoin.io and it looks quite promising.

I have read the article and it is true what it is stating, ie that history is being made. Until today cryptos have been mainly used for speculations in the world, this is a huge real world use which is likely to have follow ups. Great news!

It’s really great news for all who are in cryptomarket. I have heard about that before and finally seeing the result. So govt. of Italy has accepted crypto. I hope like this very soon crypto will be accepted all over the world.

And let's hope this situation won't be just forFootball clubs and that it wil be also for normal products. That would make life much easier

This should be serious step and decision for the club holders. Must be it is in hands of progressive people who have big hopes for crypto currencies. I truly belive that one day they will take huge benefits for such decision.

It looks like big whales now own a lot of cryptocurrency so now they can purchase anything they like with it including foodball clubs. This is how mainstream crypto will get eventually. When you see this kind of thing happening, you know that slowly slowly it is being widely accepted and becoming more the norm and not something a few basement nerds are mining in their basements. We have come a long way in ten years and this will seem very normal behavior in a few years.

Events like this will pump up the value of any coins that are being bought and this time, it was bitcoin. With more clubs or any sports club out there that will engage themselves in cryptocurrency will boost the current bloody market into a green one. Hope theres more to come like this news.

As a result of mass acceptance, if a football club can be bought with electronic money then you need to understand the fact that this is expected to happen very soon. This is really great news for us. And this is a good thing as more and more companies and organizations are opening up to receive payment by password. Italy is one of the pioneers in adopting electronic money. Perhaps one day we will see the use of it in other sports as well as sports betting. I like what happens when bitcoin starts to spread more and more with each and every day and month and news like this is great. There are many other interesting news like this in recent days and these things are getting better and better. There are places in Italy that accept bitcoin as a trading method and that is the paradise for the encrypted user. Like Alessandro Del Piero, I saw him also helped promote one of the token projects.

Very very good news. Today i got up and start to read crypto news. There were many and i felt so happy for it. So we can say the bitcoin and cryptocurrency went into the sports in Europe! I am sure there will be more clubs will say that they will go with crypto money.. I also heard about in the NBA, Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors are going to work with cryptos in the new season in October.

Now with electronic money you can buy goods and services and review aggregate assets. And in this case I really do not understand in which payment penny is released. Both links seem to use the term 'electronic money' without explaining what it is. It's also sweet that their tokens are built on the Waves, not the erc-20. So far this project is in its infantry, and all we can do is watch.

This is a support, as many investors contribute and build Bitcoin, Bitcoin prices will definitely come back. This is what is expected of the Bitcoin holders. Blockchain technology is developed in parallel with modern technology, which will make the virtual currency more valuable in the future.

This is money laundering. It does not make any sense this operation with an unknown project that is still in the ICO. And football always attracts companies interested in laundering money. The people listed on the site are totally unknown to the crypto world. They have never done anything relevant related to Bitcoin.

But it seems they are getting a great media about it.
While posting the original post, I cannot deny this crossed my mind as well that it could be money laundering, Italy have a big history about that (see sports betting with fixed football matches in smaller leagues, happened on a regular basis in the last ten years).

Really ?. If this information is true I think it's very good news for holder Crypto. It show us the recognition for Crypto in Italy.
I hope the government in other countries will completely make laws and accept Crypto.

Yes, this information is true, can't you see that it's published by sky news?
At first I thought this deal was done for club which plays on Serie A but seems they are in Serie C. I think it's first for not only italians but in whole football (soccer for americans) history. To be fair I don't like this, despite the fact that bitcoin is innovative, I don't like to see such a big deals happened by bitcoin, it's more nice (for me) to keep low number of users but everything good is abused by people as time goes.
Congrats everyone who are happy with this news.

Not the first actually. There are already facts about selling tickets (for crypto) to the football matches with help of blockchain and some other examples around football especially.
It looks mostly not like something good for crypto community but rather for a 3rd league football team as it will bring more attention to them because of crypto hype.

I agree with you. Previously there were also football clubs that partnership with cryptocurrency. like the Arsenal club that partnership with the US cryptocurrency CashBet.

I think this can be mutually beneficial for both parties.

Italy has been one of the pioneers of digital currency selection. I figure this kind of news may influence other football clubs to consider tolerating crypto as well. Possibly some time or another we'll see its utilization in different games as well and additionally wears wagering. Digital currency is getting mass selection and mindfulness which is something worth being thankful for all crypto aficionado out there.

If this news is legit then I guess it will be good for both the cryptocurrency and the Italian people. Day by day crypto is getting popular and I hope Italian people will be using crypto in other sectors as well.

i don't really think so. it is only one case and it is not even a full usage of a cryptocurrency. it is more like an iconic use of some tokens on top of using real fiat. the article says 25% but i think it was 100% in fiat and some tokens were exchanged mainly for publicity of the token, possibly because they have some stake in it. and this whole thing looks like an ad for that altcoin to me.

Yes, this is not the first time it has happened, there are many countries and companies out there that sell tickets for football matches with crypto currencies, but this news is also quite good and useful so we know that some Italian companies and communities have supported crypto currencies

I also remember quite recent news about UEFA making experiments ticket distributions on blockchain to make sure that tickets are not faked. And yet in this case I really don't understand in which coin the payment was issued. Quanto is in its ICO stage, so none of their tokens could be involved. Both links seems to use the term 'cryptocurrency' without explaining which one was it.
As for quantocoin, I guess it's cool that they are planning to be a totally legit crypto bank. It is also sweet that their token is built on Waves, not erc-20. But who knows if they actually manage to become accepted by people from other spheres (whether the payments in shops will be possible with their token, for instance). So far this project is in its infantry, and all we can do is keep track.

this is a hope that people who are engaged in the world of crypto, maybe it will develop crypto in their country in a way that is quite genius, football club is one of the popular sports fields in Italy, so an idea like this emerges.
