Hello there,

I know this topic might sound a little cringe-worthy or lame, but I'm going to go ahead and post it. Just a few days ago, I realized that on January 2, 2024, I'd crossed 3 years of active participation on Bitcointalk and in my involvement with cryptocurrencies. I signed up in 2014 and wasn't too active in the beginning.

Just imagine how times flies, right from 2014 to 2024 is ten years and from this ten years, you have achieved a successful three years of bitcoin commitment on this forum, that is not bad and to me it's a good catch as well, you have many people of the same time with you but couldn't achieve what you have earned while on the forum despite your little inactivity while you're away for some time, what if you never get inactive and have always been active giving your best, am sure you would have gotten more than you have today, nevertheless, others could learn from your own little way of achievements, I wish you all the best as you continue in this, congratulations.

Congrats mate.
You know, the forum could be such a hard place to be with the variant characters that exists on here but sometimes, that’s what makes the forum even the more beautiful and worth every admiration.
It’s a place where you got to meet people from every culture and background, beliefs and perceptions towards people and a thing. You would find reasons to not want to be here and as well, an understating of why you joined in here would override what ever negative energy that might flow within.

Being here 3years and staying active is truly a big deal, not so many could manage it but you do still and am sure to keep seeing you around as well. Keep adding value to the space and congrats once more.

I'm another regular user who has been active for 3 consecutive years since becoming a user on this forum . But I never felt that my involvement for that long was worth celebrating considering 3 years is not a long time and it's not that special to me. You - of course you deserve respect for your loyalty as a user, so perhaps you need to be congratulated to increase your motivation to stay longer.

Right now - I'm on the way to being an active user for 4 years in a row, so I hope our journey here is pleasant especially when we get to enjoy the moment of bitcoin go to the moon. Congratulations to you - Ultegra134.
First of all, thank you, 3 years might not sound a lot, because they aren't, but judging by my quitting background, I'm surprised I've held so far.

I believe we've had a similar discussion quite a long time ago. It's certainly not a long time; I was actually having second thoughts about creating this topic in the first place, but decided to go ahead and post it. I've been here since December of 2014, while I also spent some time lurking without an account. This is the longest period I've been active, not only on the forum but with cryptocurrencies in general, something I honestly regret. Things would be extremely different if I had spent a little more time here. Apart from signature campaigns, which none of us can deny are of great assistance, I've now discussed and talked to users that if I had the same discussions with them in 2018, then I most likely wouldn't have quit the way I did.
As I already wrote, it would be sad if all this was just for money Wink
No one can deny the importance of money, however, not everything is about money. I'm happy that I've enganged with some great people on the forum, something I hadn't done the previous times I was here.

But I make my first post after around 3 months. :)My first impression was like what the shit is this(forum), just text and text. Smiley Took 3 months to make sense of the forum and Dare to make my first post.

OP Congratulations on being active for 3 Consecutive years. Hopefully, the journey will be much bigger.

I am 1 of those that Lucius mentioned that would say 3 years isn't that long considering I have been here for almost 10 and active the whole time. Congrats on 3 years active I guess.

I have been active on the forum since mid-2015, which would be about 8 years, and there are very few who have been active for 10 or more years like you. Maybe 3 years is not that long, but if we take into account the way today's young people think, for most of them it is a very long period, especially if you look at that time in the context of the activities on the forum.

It is interesting that you registered on the forum around the time when I visited it for the first time as a guest, and I only became a member about a year later - which translated into activity means that according to BPIP you are in 56th place compared to me which I am 112 on that list.

Thank you; you're one of the members that I totally enjoy talking to, even on a casual basis. I find it significant to have a few forum pals that you can talk to and support each other.

As I already wrote, it would be sad if all this was just for money Wink

The journey of Bitcointalk is a journey of boldness and smartness most people finds the opportunity they were looking for but didn't know how or when to utilize it maybe it could be at that point we are not mentally matured to have everything followed up the way it should be, but what always keeps me happy here is that whenever you missed the line or you missed the train you can still come back to have a retracement I mean, to readjust our mistake because as then if you had the basics understanding you wouldn't have stayed for that long without doubling your bags of bitcoin. So, maybe after some advancement you then noticed that the place you didn't pick interest was a place that could lead you to the right part of your investment journey, that is why after some times we often sees some people come to make regretting post about their experience, but however one can still start somewhere because at all points bitcoin is still good to invest.

Anyway congratulations for being active for the past 3 years.

Congratulations on your three consecutive years of dedication to the forum.
Three years is not a short time, you have spent a lot of time here broadening your knowledge about Cryptocurrency as well as educating other members who are still juniors. I am very sure, you have learned a lot during that time.

Maturity and increased knowledge will make it easier for you to interact with other members in the forum and increase your enthusiasm for investing in Bitcoin. There's no way you can survive here for three years in a row without gaining something. I'm also starting to feel the positive impact of the forum and feel more at home here.

It's not, if you take into account that, in theory, my account is approximately 10 years old. Not a huge accomplishment indeed, but I'm honestly regretting not spending more time on the forum; it would have kept my interest in cryptocurrencies alive if I had persisted a little more.
Just the fact that, as a teenager, you were already on this forum, even without much interest, suggests that Bitcoin led you to it and finally achieved it. But seriously, many people probably regret their frivolity towards Bitcoin, but we are among those who remain with it.
I also congratulate you, OP, on your date; you left twice, and the third time completely made you a real fan of the forum. But judging by your story, you are still very young, so you have time to experience many of the events that will happen with Bitcoin and let them turn out for the better for you.
I was intrigued by Bitcoin, even though I didn't understand too much back then. My main issue was that I actually wanted to purchase some. I had enough money for more than one coin, but I didn't have the means to acquire it. Buying as someone who's under 18 wasn't that easy, as exchanges would need a deposit or a credit card, and at that point, I couldn't have thought of another way without getting scammed.
Anyone who has been active on the forum for many years (without doing bad things and earning a bad reputation) deserves respect. Some may say that 3 years continuously is not much, but everyone who thinks so should try to be active for at least 3 months and they will see how easy/difficult it really is.

Given that I was mentioned by the OP, I can only say that I'm glad if I was able to help and provide support in anything that could be of help. I can only wish that the OP continues to be an active and good member of this community, and at the end of the day, it would be a shame if everything on this forum was only about profit and the question of the price of Bitcoin, right?
Thank you; you're one of the members that I totally enjoy talking to, even on a casual basis. I find it significant to have a few forum pals that you can talk to and support each other.

That's a great accomplishment, I hope that's enough to keep you motivated to stay on the forum for even longer than those 3 years. I would say congratulations for accomplishing the goal of being active on this forum for 3 years which's a great goal I believe. This forum is a place where we can talk about Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies and we as members should always try to be as honest as we possibly can.

I believe what makes us good members of the forum is to actively contribute information that we have and share our insights about the things that could be helpful for others. I believe the opinion of the members also hold much value on this forum and that's why we should at least try ourselves to help others by sharing our opinion about the things.

I like the way you shared gratitude towards those members who helped you to reach your goals and that's a very generous act. It's in fact our responsibility to respect all those people who help us to achieve something in life. Well, trust me you'll get more success if you be active member of the forum and treat this community as your family. Congratulations once again!

3 Consecutive years

Many of us have made some mistakes that we keep regretting to date. We made some decisions we thought were the best only to find out after some years that ignorance, fear of the unknown, and impatience played a greater part in the decision process. The first time I was introduced to Bitcoin I thought it was a scam and I never paid attention to the cryptocurrency until many years after. I blame myself because I never cared to do more research on Bitcoin, which made me base my decision on rumors and hearsay. I still regret my ignorance but I have learned to move on because I cannot change the past. I have decided to maximize every opportunity that Bitcoin offers. This forum has been my source of information and inspiration to navigate the Bitcoin space. Sometimes the journey might be turbulent but I have learned to believe in Bitcoin. Congratulations @Ultegra134 and I wish you more fruitful years in bitcointalk.

Congratulations on reaching the 3-year milestone of active participation here in the forum and in the world of cryptocurrencies!

I completely understand the feeling of looking back and recognizing missed opportunities, I have plenty of those myself! Your journey is a testament to your resilience and passion for this field. It’s not uncommon to experience ups and downs; it's a roller coaster, especially in a volatile and rapidly evolving domain like cryptocurrencies. It's natural to feel disheartened during downturns. The important thing is that you’ve learned from your experiences and have come back stronger each time—that’s growth and impressive.

It's great to see that you’ve built meaningful relationships along the way, that kind of connection often make the journey more rewarding.

Here’s to many more years of active engagement, connections, learning, growing, continued success, and enjoying the journey ahead in the crypto space. Every step you take is a step forward, no matter how small it may seem. Even a small step is progress, keep going.

I've now been active for 3 consecutive years, my longest active period so far, and I'm quite impressed, to be honest. Seeing that I wasn't disappointed when Bitcoin plummeted to $16,000 approximately a year ago, it is quite positive that I won't easily quit this time. I'm also grateful for my Bitcointalk internet pals and users I've interacted with, who have made this journey a lot more fascinating; a large thank you goes to Lucius who has been a great friend throughout the last months, and Hhampuz, with which I've stuck for the past years in his signature campaigns, and has been nothing but great so far. This potentially proves that I'm here to stay for quite a long time.

You should be grateful to yourself for coming back stronger and remaining resilient, determined and active for good 3 years now. Well, we all have made one mistake or the other in the past and currently regretting our actions but however, we should be glad of where we are today and expect the best in the future so regardless of opportunities you've missed in the past and for you to come back with full energy is worth being proud of. Bitcoin have come to stay as we anticipate our next generation currency. Thanks to your achievements so far, all I can offer is congratulations on your milestone. Long live Bitcoin!

Hey OP,

My story is very similar to yours. I discovered Crypto in 2013 but didn't have much money to invest so I learnt about mining. I j this forum in Nov 2013 and bought a lot of old equipment. I had a lot of fun with it back then. Unfortunately I left this forum after a year when I got into trading. I did that for a couple of years but I wasn't very good and life got in the way. I forgot about Crypto for a while and got into matched betting. Fast forward and a lot has changed for me. Someone I work with suggested we should use some spare space at work to mine Crypto as a joke and that brought back so many memories! I came back here but found my old account had been taken over in a hack and I had been posting in Russian since 2017!
I still hold a few coins with value but most of the ones I held have long since died which is sad to see. Like you I wish I hadn't become distracted and left the scene for better things that didn't work out. Slow and steady would have won that race but we can always start again.
I wish you luck and hope you are as happy to be back as I am!

This is actually a great motivation not to actually stay active in the forum but it also portrays the need for patience when one is dealing with bitcoin entirely. I can imagine how many people back then in 2014 or even 2017 when you came to forum will imagine the current price of bitcoin, people predicting the current price today will have been tagged mad people in those years. This shows that no matter how low bitcoin price gets it will surely regain its price back with time.

It is inspirational how you also left the forum when you were having it hard as a newbie then and came back. This actually signifies the importance of taking a break when things don’t work out in life. This period of break actually gives one the space to re think and re learn. Congratulations on this amazing achievement Ultegra134, looking forward to celebrating another 3 more years on the forum with you.

Congratulations Ultegra134, as someone who just joined the forum in 2021, I can understand your excitement and why you consider this a milestone worth celebrating. We have learnt on this forum and have become wiser thanks to the information available here. I believe if I had not found bitcointalk, it would take me longer to be where I am today.
P.S. this topic should be in Reputation board
