Why not go with 3 PSUs? For $60 you can get something like Corsair CX500, which will easily power a single ant, even an overclocked one.

Cables, and How would i go about setting each one up? Im running these in my garage which only has two outlets (2 plugs, not two sets of two) but that's it, so I have the whole circuit to myself xD. I don't really want 1500w running through a power strip..... I also need the other plug for ethernet over power bridges. SO yeah, how should I go about doing this?
A power strip rated at 15A+ will run 1500W no problem, and it costs less than $10. Besides, you will only need 3x400W=1200W to power the miners.

You can go for a gold rated PSU to save 5-10% of power consumption, say Rosewill CAPSTONE-450 450W Continuous @ 50°C for $60.

If you are set on using a single PSU, go for this one Rosewill LIGHTNING-1300 1300W Continuous @ 50°C for $240, it's also modular, so even less cables.

cx 750m (two of them) seems to be the most cost effective option. Also thanks for calming me about the power strip, time to find a decent power strip. Do you think a UPS is needed?

Just wanted to chime in with my 0.02BTC. We're running 8 Ants on 2 server PSUs. Running a 10ga wire with a female tab connector to 6x 14ga wires that go into the screw terminals. Red=12v, Black=ground. 1 of each for each Ant, 16 wires total, and really easy to set up. The hardest part was splicing, threading, twisting, and soldering the 6x 14ga wires into a single 10ga wire, but that wasn't bad.

We soldered the wires for the 3 fans together, with a 12v and ground lead coming out, and soldered those to 2 random tabs, and now our fans are all set. Each PSU is using ~80% of it's rated max,and they're running cool and stable. Total for the 2 PSUs, 6 fans, and all 8 Ants (with both the main fan and second added fan @ 100%) is 16.5A @ 208V. Temps are averaging in the high 30s, OC'd to 393 (~200GH/s).

i just had a powercool 750watt psu go pop after a day on 1 s1, exchanged it and the second went after 30 mins!! whats am i doing wrong?
You are using the wrong power supply.  It is a good clue that the supply is crap when nobody publishes the specs.  I finally found them on an ebay listing.  Dual 12v rails.  One for the processor, one for the rest of the system.  You have 380 watts worth of 12v to run your miner outta that craptastic supply.

Don't really care about lifespan, more really about stability. I will look into getting a higher wattage, but i really wanna get 2 antminers s1 and the accessories needed for $1500.

go for a 1200watt maxing out the psu still reduces life span and good to have a buffer zone of a 100watt or so. my 2bits worth.

So you guys think its feasible to run 3 of these at stock clocks off a xfx 1050w pro series? I single this one out, since this is guaranteed for that delivery at 50 degrees Celsius, so it should output higher wattages at lower temps.

If this is the one you had, it popped because it could provide just 16 or 18 Amps via its dual PCI-E connectors, while Antminer requires at least 30 Amps. When shopping for a PSU either select a tested and recommended one, or look for a PSU with a single rail 12V which provides at least 40 Amps, and preferably with separate PCI-E connectors, not dual ones.

I was running one unit off a Dell N750P PSU. The fan noise was a killer though, so today I switched to an IBM DPS-2500BB A PSU, cooled with two 3000rpm 120mm fans I strapped on the side of it. At over 200 ampere at 12v it is a total overkill for one antminer so I'll try hooking 3 more units to it tomorrow.

EDIT : if sidehack comes though with his mod thingy and I will be able to tune the fan speed on the Dell PSU, it'll be perfect, as I really like these units. Very compact.

The fan noise on the dell psu's are quite tolerable when you utilize the 50% fan speed pin.

I have 3 overclocked running on a 1500W Silverstone using 4 PCIE power cables and 2 x dual molex to PCIE adapters (the ones you get with graphics cards). All cables are cool to touch.

Ye that psu is bad boy quality.

why only 4 pcie cables it offers upto 8, Is it to offload from the 12v rail?

Because to give you eight the cables have two connectors each and I only want to use one per blade
