I actually like the closet project. Those miners are mining at slushs pool. It's a lot better than newbies constantly accusing slush of cheating or not keeping the pool up.

These miners become obsolete faster than any other technology I have seen. My miners were soo good 4 months ago and now they are barely able to keep up with electricity costs!
Time to upgrade. Got enough BTC mined to purchase a new miner, gotta find the best price.

I believe I was on topic. The current discussion was the newest Antminers and their prices. I saw screenshots relating to the price of an Antminer from one source and saw that a fellow community member mentioned that a better deal exists as another member had posted one.
Further, I was wondering what the other miners at Slush's pool are getting per block. I believe that this is indeed a Slush-specific question as well because the hash rate varies from pool to pool.
^^^ Would not worry too much about that, just that some idiot had turned the thread into something akin to, and I quote, "a personal blog". It was more like a show and tell in a thread that is referenced by others as a repository for information about slush's pool (as the title suggests) and any other obiter-dicta relating there-to.
EDIT: - In any case, good pool luck yesterday and long could it continue today too .... a couple of 1 hr blocks to follow the one we are on would certainly do that.
Also, what you get on slush depends on your hash power AND how long you've been hashing ...

Anyone else having issues today pool keeps disconnecting and just noticed the last block has been processing for over 3 hours
I switched from: http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332 (main pool URL)
To: stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 (If you have Stratum-compatible miner)
I was having the same issues
Works fine now.

Wouldn't it be more profitable to buy BTC outright, than to buy new equipment? Unless/until BTC is worth many decimal points, earning fractions won't cover your electrical cost very well over the coming months, regardless of the upgrade.

And bc i luve in canada. Nine of these bitcoin miner manufactureres operate in canada meanibg... long wait for shipment, big shipping cost. And ppossibly customs fee.

it is the US your ordering from over sea you pay for shipping so I'm guessing it all even out don't know , i don't buy much from over seas.
don't want a s2 or S4 waiting mostly for the L1 and C1 to see how they fan out

Make sure to choose "direct shipping" instead of "hosting at Umisoo"
Indeed you have to select "direct shipping" but also choose the UPS option afterwards (depending on your region other options will be available)
Only after this final step the site will calculate your exact shipping fee based on the total weight.
I also made mistake on one of my orders and left the low shipping fee. Basically it seems this also causes your order to become "Umisoo hosted".
Prior to shipping however Bitmain contacted me to double check. Good they did since I'm hosting my own little farm..
