If i have to switch off my rig occasionally - would i be better in a pool that was not designed to prevent pool hopping. That way i could get my reward for the shares i did - even if i switched off my gear half way through.
Is BTCGuild like this?

Is this to prevent pool hopping. Do i have to stay in the pool for the whole round. And if so how can i tell when a round is starting/ending so i know not to switch off my rig!

That's because its been over a full day (27 hours now) since we last found a block. SO nothing to confirm.
These full day blocks are getting to be a nasty habit.

Hi folks,
I am mining using slushs pool. I have a few numbers in the 'estimated rewards' section, but none in the 'unconfirmed rewards'.
Does this mean it is waiting for the block to be finished then my rewards will be shown in 'unconfirmed'?
I know that you have to wait for a certain number of blocks to be solved for rewards to be moved from unconfirmed to confirmed, but at the moment i have 0 unconfirmed at all, and i have been mining flat out for about a day.
In the statistics section it show many blocks being solved but they are all from a day or two ago, how many blocks are released and being mined at any one time?

I soooo miss being over 105% luck on this pool...it is like slush's pool is your crazy bi-polar girlfriend...sure
the sex is great....but these 'cutoffs' out of spite...the 'evil/crazy looks'.....I mean really slush.....I just 'glanced' at that other pool

not sure if I can last 2 more days... starting to think along the same lines maybe 5000TH is becoming too slow with this level of difficulty..
Reckon Slush should drop his percentage to 1% to entice people to stay?

Load balancing in just about everything - mining, investing, etc. leads to greater peace of mind.
I don't recommend trying it with romantic partners though ...

Back to load balancing again... Incredible how 10 mins into load balancing and expected Slush payout has halved despite 24 hours of full speed contributions! Hmmm...
That's how Slush's system works. It doesn't penalize people hopping into the pool, it penalizes people leaving (or even just reducing hash rate) during a round.

I do not understand one thing, the Poles 4000Th and they catch blocks, and we 5500Th and we in an ass. It is 100% a problem in the pool and no luck nothing to do with!
