Slushpool currently the #2 bitcoin pool  (source: https://btc.com/ ) since all of the chinese pools mainly focussing on BCH now. If this continues there will be a dramatic number of unconfirmed transactions, and a lot of unsatisfied users paying extreme high fees and long waiting time.

Go right on ahead Chinese pools, you're mining crapola.  As for the highs fees and waiting time, look at the size of the blocks slush is pulling in, high 16's.

It takes a long time to receive the pool payments (change from unconfirmed to confirmed), especially with the current high demand. I do wait for more than 24 hours.

Is it possible that the pool developers can include their own payout transactions in the next block found by slushpool? So than we have not to wait so long

My bad, I'm a bit sleepy here lol. Yeah I don't think the Slushpool team monitors this thread anymore.

Hi all! I see that OP has not been changed for a long, long time. There is even no modern URL of Slush's pool...  Undecided

So I have a question. Do I still need to manually create workers on Slush's pool? Or it can (as IMHO it should) automatically detect and create worker, like Kano.is do?

What do you mean there is no modern URL for Slush's pool? There is! Check out slushpool.com.

I think the pool does not automatically create worker names.  However it does accept shares from worker names that do not exist on the pool web interface so your miners work is not wasted. So no biggie, just manually create the worker name eventually.

He mean't that the opening post is very old and has not been updated for a while.

Is it just me or does the password reset email never get sent?

I've waited 24 hours and requested twice.

Do payouts from slushpool come from a recently-mined block?  I'm wondering if this could be used to get coins guaranteed to be from after a fork, to mix with the rest of my wallet for replay protection.
Partially answering my own question: at least in the payout I got today, one of the inputs was from newly-generated coin from the same block.  So I guess the answer is yes, though I don't know if this behavior is guaranteed.

server down?

Server down, it's over.  Shut the entire thing down.

Meanwhile miners just keep going.

Is there any way to see beyond the 250 block stats listed of how Slushpool's luck has been? Honestly it seems like it's been bad for many months, but that could be me just checking in on it during the bad luck periods.

Last 6 months it found 5% of all blocks  ( https://btc.com/stats/pool/SlushPool )

Did anyone else notice an unusual delay in sending payments earlier today/last night? The suspicious side of me wonders if this has anything to do with the btc gold fork. I may be way off the mark and it was a technical glitch but the timing is just too convenient for me....

With the hundreds (likely thousands) of BTC slush has, seems unlikely they'd mess with payouts so they can get a couple of a soon to be worthless alt coin.

Probably my overly suspicious mind working overtime!
