now it becomes a reality, 400 not survive, now has $ 390 price bitcoin> for the BTC, I hope this does not last long and prices returned to $ 400  Sad

Time to buy then Cheesy

Go go go !

Think about halving next summer.
I agree, I think it's a good time to buy and I have done so recently.  Not too much, but enough.  I don't think the halving is going to have much of an effect, but I guess we'll see.  I think it's already reflected in the current price.

Well $400 didn't hold, but it wasn't long before it got back to $400 and higher. At the moment it's averaging around $410 and reached a peak of $416 which seems like a good hold for now.

the exchangers` cartel put the bots at work Smiley  . fake transactions, fake volume. it's so simple.

well the point is that still none was below 350, so who care, we are arguing for few dollars

new resistance is at 400 again, there will be no more sub 400 for the tiem being, unless someone else need cheap coins, cough mike cough
Exactly, I agree. Breaking $350 to the downside on a solid volume would be a bad sign. That would mean testing of all important levels for the current increasing trend at around $310. I am glad we got spared that.

The price is holding above $400 now. Any reason for the sudden jump?

My guess is that a few whales have started to buy back and that made people panic buy as they wanted to scoop up some sub $400 coins before they are gone. Other than that there isn't much I can think of.

I am sad that it got down oh well I am not that surprise is the beginning of the year.
I think it will increase again around in February.

You don't have to be sad for long.
Bitcoin is going up again. Looks like bitcoin is recovering again.
Didn't take that long this time.

Have hold a long time at 400 dollars of course it won't hold for last.
I think is just down for now and later it will just go up again.

I bet that a lot of people will be happy when it goes back to 450 dollars again.
especially if they grabbed some coins at sub $380 prices. That is like 20% increase. Not too bad, if you ask me.
You are lucky that you grab in that price, because now is around off the 410 dollar.
YOu have made profit I think is just better to save in the halving or after and trading for now.
See I was right that it can go back to 450 dollars again.

Yes I was watching and see we touched $350 but that soon bounced back. The panic does seemed to have calmed down and it isn't looking to bad now settling between low $380's and mid. Depending on the news a large dump can always cause big dumps.
Where did price touch $350? I am wondering if that was a one off trade. Do you have some charts/data to support that?

it seems that the lowest was 355, see here

-snip-

The coindesk price ticker is a combination of several exchanges shown as average price.

Bitfinex touched $352.5.
Bistamp touched $352.
I also checked coinbase and there was $350.92 as the lowest trade.
From the charts it looks like few off trades at very low volume to paint the charts.
Meaning, I would hold the $360 support as still valid that should be hard to crack, if we revisit it.

I think bitcoin held on to $400 long enough
This was bound to happen anyway.
It's good to see this happen, i'm not too worried about this.
I believe bitcoin will go back up in the upcoming weeks.

I think this is the time to buy but i think the price will not going to 400 maybe after this month the price will go rise again.. So just buy for now before month ends..
I have sold around almost all my coin on 373 mark but now price get jumped to 380+, i will not buy nor sell now as i don't have time to check price every hour in this high volatility.
What you see right now is just the regular volatility of a speculation-based asset, like Bitcoin. That is yet not the high volatility Bitcoin used to have when being in the pre- and post- Mt. Gox bubble.
