Nothing lasts forever
I liked the part where OP mentioned that we should tell someone about our losses.
I can relate it. People are usually jealous if we win something or we are happy but when we lose something it's good to share it with others.
The reason is because we tend to feel lighter when we share our sorrow and people don't get jealous over it or judge us.
I might not share your ideas on this one or just can’t relate because, it really doesn’t matter much to me how or what other might feel about the outcome of my bet. I’m not getting any form of compensation from it at least, in fact, I feel they would find it humorous and so, I just don’t share. I rather stay private and come to think of it, should you have someone that would be jealous over your wins, what makes you think those set of persons would offer some genuine sympathy when you lose?
It doesn’t sound like a good idea but, whatever works right…!

You have a point there. If we share our losses with someone who might get jealous on our wins then the sympathy showed by them on our losses might not be genuine.
You changed my perspecitve now and I think it's better off not to share either the wins or the losses with such people afterall.
Yet, there will be few people in our life who would genuinely care about us and may be it might be better if we share our losses with them ?
Afterall, we do feel lighter when we share our sorrow with others. I am not talking about betting losses but sadness in general.

When you lose gambling, it becomes difficult to accept that defeat because you lose money there. Anyone with money can easily afford to lose money on bets. But a poor man who gambles to double his money can never accept losing.
It is just the mindset that has been buried that money can always be made in gambling, that is is why when they lose they believe by playing continuously money can be recovered back again. Gamblers with this kind of mindset always fall prey to addiction  because one of the cause of addiction is believing money can be gotten by all means in gambling.  Gambling is fun when loses are let go, and it is better to gamble with a fresh mind, it helps one to take out the sense of greed.
Quote
Everyone should not know our losses despite growing up and should speak directly from the front instead of talking back. I like to gamble in secret so that no one can think of my loss.
No matter how you gamble very responsible, those who are not into gamble will always criticise you, i don't see reason why it should be known to people.

Take a break. A break is like a detoxifier. And while on the break don't engage in any activity that can trigger one to engage even if it is "a little" in gambling. While on the break read a book, take that course, learn that skill, do something that is outdoorsy and involves a group of people. While on the break, volunteer in an organization that engages in public good. While on the break, start that business. There are so many things to do after a huge loss that can't even be summarized into just 5 points. But then thank you for bringing it up.
It is a general agreement that the best thing to do after a huge lose in gambling is to take a break and I'd say let the break last for as long as necessary for the gambler. Within the interval the person should try as much as possible to preoccupy his mind with activities that are not gambling related, so that they won't be dwelling on the painful lose. Most of my posts on this gambling discussion board, I never fail to repeat what I've learned from this board when it's necessary and that is to always gamble with the amount that you can afford to loose. A person that gambles with a small amount, depending on the level of their income will not have such a heartbreak when they lose.

If i have to lose  huge again then I will completely leave the gambling world and will never come again because i use to lose huge once losing all my end year bonus and my 3 months salary from gambling and now?
i kept playing with small amount and never to have more again .
Actually, if at the process of gambling to make profits you lost a huge amount of money I doubt that you will quite gambling for ever because you lost a huge sum of your money. In my opinion, I think you would probably continue gambling (even if it's not that same day). The mindset of a gambler that's gambling to make huge profits from gamble is always different from those that are gambling for entertainment. When you gamble for profits you will lose more and most of the times it probably because you gamble with what you can neither afford to lose.
I have seen a case whereby the gambler just received his monthly Salaries and he went to a gamble shop and gamble with all his salary and he haven't settled his monthly bills before gambling with the rest of the money. So am just trying to say that when you are gambling for profits it would be difficult for you to quite after losing because you would feel like you have waisted your money for nothing but when you are gambling for entertainment, you will not feel too bad about the money you lost because you risked what you can afford to lose.

No one enjoys losing money. No matter the amount, we’d always rather win and earn instead of keep losing. However, it may soften the blow if your money is not the money you’re going to use to pay the bills. Now, that can surely hurt more. Betting inly your extras will allow you to get disappointed a bit and then move on. Harder to move on when you’ve lost all of your money in betting and now you don’t know where to get money from.

Here’s the thing, we all hate losing, right? But gambling is called entertainment for a reason. The truth is most of the time, gamblers end up on the losing side. It’s just how it goes. No matter how hard we try, the house usually wins. But if we’re having fun and enjoying the thrill while gambling, then honestly, that’s already a win in itself.
The problem is many people can not accept their losses and change their mindset from having fun through gambling into recover their losses. That will make them want to revenge their losses and play gambling longer than usual.
They don't know that can makes them lose more money but their minds already closed by the losses and makes them insist to recover their losses. They can not consider that gambling is an entertainment but as a place to make money so when they losse, they think to recover their money first and then winning the games.
If they can not change their mindset, they will only losses more and more money. But they will difficult to win as their minds can not thinks clear about playing gambling moderately.

Personally, I’m going through a healing process too and reading these tips early in the morning has been really helpful for me at least for the rest of my day. First, when I had to start with accepting the loss I encountered was really difficult but it also resonates deeply as it’s such a necessary first step to let go of guilt and begin to heal. Expressing emotions for me wasn’t ideal as I had to make it with online friends only but even through crying or just talking to yourself really does make a difference. I believe that suppressing feelings only makes the pain linger longer.

The advice to talk to someone is so true. It’s hard to open up but I think when you do it lightens the emotional load that’s why in my case I felt good once I started the topic here in Reputation section. I also love the idea of socializing more, getting out, playing games, or even going for a trip sounds like a great way to reset mentally and step away from those bad thoughts.

And that last philosophical point? It hit me hard you know? Life itself is a miracle, and even when it feels like everything’s gone wrong, we get stronger than we can imagine. These reminders help put everything into perspective

There’s a saying that you forget everything after you gamble. Anything that happened in the casino stay in the casino.  Cheesy

Seriously, we should just gamble what we can afford to lose and all this thoughts of regret will not a big deal anymore.

Yea, if perhaps one gambles with just a small amount that will not mean so much to them, then the person can easily forget about it when they lose the money but if the person was gambling for just the intention to double that money and also spend the money that he wanted to use for something else, then it will be difficult to let go. That's why some gambling go back home to pour their anger on their family member as if they asked them to go and gamble.

I do agree, that will be the initial reaction, that you will think to leave gambling for good because you have lost a money that you have worked very hard. But the question is, how can you get tempted and really put everything on the line? And with that kind of mindset, all I'm saying that, sooner or later you might give a second thought and gamble once again because you want to recover that money. Maybe the better approach is that lit it sit for a while and see how it goes. And if you learn from that lesson, maybe the next time you got to scratch that itch, then just play small, just deposit enough and have fun and enjoy.

Playing all-in leaves no chance to win, if you get lucky once, then everything will be lost the next time, and if a player allows himself to play all-in once, then I have almost no doubt that he will try to do it again. Maybe this will become a lesson, and it will never happen again, but I do not really believe in it, because I think that people do not change. Gambling is also a responsibility, if you treat it frivolously, there will be losses.

All gamblers go through it and some learn how to be more responsible with their money. It's easy to get carried away when we gamble... when we win we think how happy we are and want more, when we lose we think that a big win is very close. That's why it's important to talk about responsible gambling, only deposit what you can afford to lose, play around, and have fun.

After big gains/losses, we should take breaks, that's the only thing that can cool us down a bit and bring us back to earth. It's not good to make hasty moves... I remember to that sometimes, I'm one of those people who easily fall into the fire. But I know that fire can burn me, and it has happened many times. In any case, after big losses, I can curse the casino and myself, but after that I just say that my moment will come. Life goes on, better luck next time... it all takes a minute or two.

Yes, and it's all in the mind, obviously, each one of us reacts differently in a big lost. But I guess it's really better to just step away from gambling for a while so that you will not be affected mentality.

Make yourself busy, or just go out with friends and families so that your mind will be preoccupied with anything that is not gambling. And maybe after a week or two, if you have recovered already, then it's that time that maybe you can go back and see for yourself if you are lucky or not.
When we lose a big money, our reaction will almost the same that we can not accept the lose but we don't realize that is because of our mistake. We forget about the limitation that we already set in the beginning and because of that losses, we want to recover the losses even we can use more money. But that will not work as we want because this is gambling which is not gives you a chance to win more often.

Yes, we must make ourselves busy so we can forget our gambling activity and distract our minds to thinks about the gambling. When we can take a break from gambling for some days, that can refresh our minds and can think clear about what next that we can do.

Gambling is a constant process, there can be no only wins, or only losses, everything alternates, so expecting a win after a loss is not bad. It is bad if you allow a loss that can cause great damage to the bankroll, in this case the loss will be great and perhaps it makes sense to think about stopping gambling, because if this was allowed once, then it is possible that it will happen again.
Win and lose will come and go many times so that is why we must be wise treat gambling and not makes us lose too much money. When we lose in the previous rounds, we don't have to continue gambling because that can make our intention and emotional high and make us forget that gambling is just for having fun. When you lose your money in gambling and can stop gambling, you will have a chance to take a deep breath so that can refresh your minds to think what is happen to you. You should not let the losses becomes big by stopping gambling immediately.

Just simply move on and call it a day, as long you have lost all of your balance then you shouldnt be trying out to chase it up. People do mess up their lives because they would really be that tending to add up
even more on the moment that they are losing money and not really that stopping completely. When you are losing then the best thing to do is that stop immediately and call it a day.
Just like on what have been said that stopping will really be that making things avoid to getting bigger and deeper in terms of loses. Usually people do make out even more deposits on the time that their
emotions been lit up because of such anger and disappointment. This is why when playing gambling then it wouldnt really be that ideal that you should be easily get dragged with your emotions.
Move on from gambling is a good decision for those who already lose their money so they will not think about recover their money and save the rest of their money. When you lose, you will realize that it is time to stop gambling and leave the casino and not thinks about keep playing gambling. We should accept whatever we gets from gambling so we can know when we can stop gambling and we can consider that our time to playing gambling is end. Maybe we are disappointed with the result but that is the outcome that we can get from gambling.

2. Tell someone: You have to have at least one person in your life (the more the better) to whom you can share your feelings and let them know about your situation. It will help a lot because if you continue to live in isolation with that feeling, trust me, you will not be capable of taking care of yourself. There is no shame in taking help in these matters; instead, it is a sign of great courage to honestly tell someone how you are feeling.

3. Socialize more, go out, play outdoor games, go on a hike with friends for a few days: You need an immediate shift of your focus from gambling, and going out, playing games, etc., are good options to do that. It will also shorten your screen time, which must be zero for at least 2-3 days.
it depends on how much you have lost if not, there is no point trying to share your losses with people even if they are your close acquaintance. the fact is that if you have lost there's no point making a big issue out of it, people are good at spreading news across others more than the reach you would normally want it to get to and that is the reason why it will still be best that you try and keep your looses and victory to yourself. its because you have made it look like if you don't tell someone about your gambling journey that you are doing yourself a disadvantage that's why its as though the solution to coming out of loss is letting people know that you have lost a particular amount which will be a way of attracting undue sympathy.

staying away from gambling for a while is a good way to start if the amount you have lost is huge though its never advisable that you go on to gambling with an amount you are sure you cant afford to loose but if for a reason you go on to doing that, the best therapy is to possibly chill out with friends and talk on other issue that is satisfying enough to take out any form of reminder regarding that loss off your mind.

If you only bet what you can afford to lose, I think there's no problem with that. But still, you should be cautious everytime you gamble and don't cross your betting limits. Gambling is a series of wins or losses, but most likely losses are more often than wins. That's exactly the reason why you should gamble only at your extra money so that if you lose them all, it will never affect your finances after all.
Losing money is very painful, but it will be better and easier to accept when using money that has been prepared to be lost than using money that is actually savings or to meet other needs.
It just about attitude and mindset, responsible person can definitely manage their own finances well and they will be able to determine and sort out in every use including gambling capital.

In fact no one wants to lose and everyone wants to bet on gambling to win. When you lose gambling, it becomes difficult to accept that defeat because you lose money there. A rich person does not have much reaction when he loses in gambling, but a poor gambler is very aggressive in winning. He cannot accept his loss. Due to which the chances of his loss increase. Poor gamblers are so involved in gambling that they cannot accept gambling losses. Being ultimately dependent on gambling, they are able to see the opposite of their expectations. Gambling is hidden almost everywhere because gambling is not considered a positive thing, which is why everyone tries to gamble secretly. Many of those who gamble openly and lose often face negative comments from others. It would be best if gambling was accepted as normal and not considered a big deal.

I would say forget  the defeat rather then accept. Acceptance may corrode your inside and result in the loss of health. If someone can't forget it by himself he may address the therapist to ask the help. When I lost in gambling my first $4500 I forgot it in five minute but this is due to both  meditation and affirmation exercises taken  for more than 10 years thus I never needed therapist to care about my mood after any loss .
That makes sense too, but I don't think it's much different when we have to accept or forget it because it has the same purpose, which is not to think about the defeat that has occurred because it is an early disease that can make everything fall apart when players think about the defeat that has occurred. Someone who can accept the reality that occurs with defeat over time will definitely forget it and you yourself who immediately took the option to forget it was the right action, I appreciate that.

Crazy, losing the amount you mentioned is not a little my friend, but seriously can you forget it in just five minutes?
If that happened to me, maybe I wouldn't be able to forget it quickly like that because the amount lost was very large for me. I myself can forget the defeat I experienced but it's not that fast, it takes some time to forget it so I play with only as much as I can to just lose it.

Never gamble again. If you do, you will experience another huge loss again. And the cycle will continue.

However, losses are sometimes inevitable especially if you keep chasing your luck. And that’s okay to lose, as long as it’s bearable. But if we are losing a massive amount already, that needs a serious decision making. It’s either you gamble again and recover your previous losses, which is still has no assurance, or you decide to stop gambling  temporarily or for good and shift your interest into other side hustles that will surely give you real compensation.
That's correct, it's a vicious cycle, but losses are indeed inevitable. Who hasn't lost money in gambling? It happens to all of us, the most important is how we deal with loss. I don't recall losing an extravagant amount, mostly because I'm careful with the my bets, I don't bet more than I'm comfortable losing. Just because I can afford losing $200 doesn't mean I should go overboard and blow my money away, things easily can get out hand.
If you only bet what you can afford to lose, I think there's no problem with that. But still, you should be cautious everytime you gamble and don't cross your betting limits. The biggest challenge is to control yourself when there is a big loss. If there is a big loss there is nothing to be done and I don't think there will be any benefit in telling others about the loss. However, if there is a big loss, borrowing money or taking a loan to recover that loss and then betting should never be done because in that case the mentality may not be right and if such a decision is made after the loss, there is a high probability of loss in that case. However, if there is a big loss, it is better to take the advice of those who are experts because they will definitely give positive advice on what to do at this moment. If there is a big loss, you must have a good understanding with your life partner because at that moment only your wife and relatives can console you.
