I think the best advice that can be given for gambling is to be aware that in 90% of casino games you are going to lose... perhaps poker, where you play against other players, is the only one, where your skill can make you money in the long run. The rest of the casino games, in the long run, you are going to lose money. The sooner you accept it and do it for fun, the better.

It's even stupid of a player to gambling with the amount of money that if they lose it, they can not handle the depression. I gambling with the money that even if I lose it, I will just accept my faith and move on. I don't necessarily talk much about my lose because it makes me fell like am going back to what has already passed that can never be reversed, so there's no need for me to keep talking about it with someone over and over again.
If you keep talking about your loss, you will eventually become frustrated. Other people will likely want to gamble more after losing because they believe they will regain what they lost recently. It happened to me before where I thought I was lucky and wanted to regain all of my losses, but in the end I lost them all.

It's a part of greediness because I am not addicted to gambling. I only gamble occasionally with my friends because it is too boring to gamble alone, but gambling with friends, even if you lose, brings happiness. Gambling is something I do for fun because the happiness it brings is different from playing a mobile game, which only causes frustration and addiction based on what happens to my son.
When the game ends, I always accept that I lost, but I can do it again if we seek happiness while drinking, and if we lose again, we simply stop.

You have written a great post. All the 5 things are very important. If we can't accept our loss then we may make same thing and it may turn into death as if we loss everything then it might be in thought there is no value of life and commits suicide. But if we can accept our loss then we may stop gambling and one day we may overcome the loss which happened for gambling.

Those are 5 very good points to keep someone quiet or not do impulsive things after they experience several or even consecutive losses, but I think to be able to accept defeat or to be able to become a responsible gambler in the sense of being able to accept a losing situation, they must have the right knowledge and understanding regarding what and how gambling really is, at least knowing and realizing that when you force a situation like playing again in a situation full of emotions then everything will get worse, the point is I think a gambler will only be able to do all the advice you give if they understand and understand the dangers of gambling if done excessively, it will help them to become a responsible gambler when they experience defeat without involving emotions.

Take a break.
There's no better idea than this. Taking a break solves problems rather than thinking about what to do next because that would give the gambler time to re-strategize and reconstruct how their gambling life would be. Whether they need to quit gambling for months or gamble little with less money than pursuing gambling losses. Many gamblers have taken the option of taking a break from gambling for some time because that seems as the best remedy to manage their gambling lifestyle. Such a strategy(taking a break) has works a whole lot for those who have experienced a huge loss from gambling

I have long noticed that when I am not in the mood after another loss and apathy sets in, the best solution to calm down is to tell your wife about the losses. You don't even have to tell her the amount you lost, you can deliberately reduce this amount. The main thing is that a person you trust listens to you.

Keep in mind that if you lost money that was intended for something important, then talking to your wife about this topic can lead to even bigger problems.

Cmon, the first rule of gambling is to bet money you ready to lose. It is the first and the main rule of the gambling. Every time, when you decide to play - get the sum you ready to lose.
As for me - i use 2 rules for gambling. I choose the sum, i ready to lose, i choose the time, i ready to spend. When ends time or money - i leave. And it doesn`t matter what result i see.
Use these 2 rules and you`ll never need to learn these 5 rules.

Take a break.
This is very important. He should even quit gambling for many months or for like a year. He should start to gamble again, but with little amount of money. The money should not be more than 1% of his weekly income. If he sees himself still addicted, he should stop gambling again. This was how I overcame my gambling addiction. He should not see gambling as a means of making money, which will help in stopping gambling addiction.
Most times taking a break is the thing to do when after a huge loss because losses can come from anywhere and for sure no guarantee taking a break will automatically fix the loss impact, taking a break is somewhat of an antibiotic that kills the pain of losing in the long run, but still, it won't help fill up the financial gap the loses have created and that is why it is very important to pay close attention to the inner drive of an individual.

Because for someone who could risk such a huge amount and lose, adjusting to gambling with a smaller amount even when he returns from the break may not be that easy for him or her; he will eventually gamble with a huge amount again.

Everything that you've said OP are helpful for someone who's in the air and don't know what to do and how to deal with their losses. But just as said, it's best to stop wholly so that there will be already a stoppage for potential continuous losses. It's hard to do that when you can't accept defeat so putting #1 to accept losses is a good one. Even if a gambler didn't lost a lot, it's best to accept it and to stop. No one will recognize real help when they're not on that situation so, everyone who's speaking what to do probably have their share of their own stories. That is the reason why we're eager to just stop without any other things to do when the results are obvious and there's no signs of any recovery. Stop the losses, take time to reflect and relax the mind and understand that you'll have to do it so no further damage will be done to the pockets.

5. This last advice is a bit philosophical. Your existence in itself is a miracle, and on top of it, you as a living, conscious human being have survived against odds much higher than any lottery. Therefore, you are a winner already in life, no matter what these are—petty things (money lost in some game)—and you surely have the capacity to overcome this. Even if you do not believe in yourself right now, your existence is the undeniable proof of your potential.

Having the belief that we can overcome every challenge we are facing is very important. As long as we are alive, there is hope. People should be hopeful that there will always be a way out of the losses they have incurred in gambling. There is no need to harm yourself or contemplate suicide because it is not the best option.

However, the ideal means of avoiding these problems is to gamble within your budget. Don't gamble with an amount that will make you restless or give you sleepless nights if you lose. Reading the stories of people who overcome the same problem you are facing might also be helpful.

Nice the 5 sounds more encouraging at least for those who forget to realize they are alive and still can think there is more to life than just gambling. There is No. 3 which was said to be socializing, going out with friends or if you have kids, visiting a nearby zoo with them or introducing them to close relatives living in the next city.

Give yourself time to wander around in nature. Although I have a nasty habit of smoking, I tend to walk around my village and sometimes I get to chat with acquaintances just chatting under a tree and then learn local news they chat about. Makes me feel normal still.

2. Tell someone:
This is total bad idea. Instead i rather wallow in isolation that speak about my gambling problems to another person. People tend to make things more worst for you when you share your gambling problems with them. They might end up looking at you like an addicted gambler. Maybe later in the future that they aint your friend anymore, they will start speaking bad about you to other persons.
wallowing in isolation is also bad for your mental health, you are basically bottling up your emotions and keeping it all to yourself, it is not bad to share your problem(may it be about gambling or not) with people who truly know you and who you truly trust. having a person that you can truly trust is always better than isolating yourself and wallowing about the problems(may it be about gambling or not) on your own.

I liked the part where OP mentioned that we should tell someone about our losses.
I can relate it. People are usually jealous if we win something or we are happy but when we lose something it's good to share it with others.
The reason is because we tend to feel lighter when we share our sorrow and people don't get jealous over it or judge us.
Will share stories when experiencing a big loss into a big depression or losing all savings, because it will at least help a little in any advice.
However, so far I have not experienced a big loss to become depressed, so the loss below $1000 I will not tell anyone, I can still hold myself with the defeat.
But everyone has some differences where some like to tell or do not like to reveal about gambling to anyone.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom
First of all, no one should be in a situation that we consider a loss as huge loss which is different from winning big comparision. Since we are in complete control of our betting amount and we should know what are the limits we can go.

Now about the topic, those are some good tips and I repeat the part talk to someone which is kind of relaxing and dilute or shift the focus from the frustration which will help us to think about what can be done next than worrying about what just happened because we all are make mistakes and sometimes it just become most unexpected.

A lot of gamblers need to accepting a loss and coming to terms with reality is one of the easy ways to move on from that regretful feeling of losses. But the moment you decide to get it back any all means necessary you might start chasing it by gambling more and this might lead to more losses. Majority of gamblers that lose a lot of money lose because they couldn't accept their losses, this is a wrong approach to lose aversion. engaging in outdoor activities can also be a way to get your mind off what you have lost, you can call it a coping mechanism.
Actually some gambler also borrowed money to continue gamble when they have lost everything. So it's bad because if you can not control yourself and work away from the casino you will definitely be on depts. However, some gambler always risk what they can not afford to lose that's why they always chase after their losses. Well, you are right, gambler need to accept their lose and walk away immediately because not accepting your lose will make you chase it and it will also make them ose more.

If you have time, I believe you can do some mindfulness exercises, check your self-control, and meditate. You could easily do it by breathing deeply and managing your stress. Additionally, you can create new goals for yourself or set something so you have something different to focus on.

Many people have posted already; what do you think, OP?

I just based this in my experience, and I think I am more comfortable doing this and this is I stop gambling for as long as the huge losses vanish on my memory I buried myself to work because if your mind if pre occupied with other things you will eventually forget the hurt or the pain of huge gambling losses, others have their own way so its really to each is own when it comes to losses.
