Na true wey u talk so, me self I no too value all this kind work wey be say u go wake up early morning go work still come back for evening, that means person don spend all the days for work be that, yes I know say person need to work to take out food for table but e no mean say person go over work emself all because say we need money, what if we die on the process or fall sick, shey na still that money we work na we go still use and if na couple e go really cause problem between them and them no go get time for their children and for themselves too and this kind thing dey break many marriages today, na e make I like oyibo people, u no go fit work from morning till night and na e mk I like online work too because e go give time wey u need.

  Well that’s your opinion, but I feel the 20 million naira cash can produce 2 major source of income for me if I manage the money well, and I will also have some for my daily errands. I have always been a fan of working remotely from home. Having to depend on monthly salary doesn’t just sit well with me. I love to have my income come in weekly instead. The whole 6AM to 4PM job seem like a boring routine for me. It won’t let me have time to do other things. 20million is a good capital  to start up anything of choice, with proper management of funds I can have more than one business set up with that 20million. I want to be my own boss own my business and not wait for monthly salary. Waiting for the end of the month to get your paycheck is just frustrating, what if for instance you have some issues that need urgent attention and unfortunately you have not been paid, would you want to keep the problem waiting just because you have not received your salary yet ?
  I don’t even see the need of going to the office from Sunday to Sunday especially in office that don’t require your physical presence to work. Covid-19 period made us realize that we can work from home and yet our business or company will still run smoothly. Unless the company or employer is willing to let workers work from home then I can consider doing the office job.
 

Life no balance my friend, because the same way people are working from 6a.m to 4p.m to earn 30k as salary in a month, so are some people working just only 3hrs, with some days on shift, and yet earning 500k per month as salary. So you see say life no balance at all

People crave for government work because of the retirement benefits, if not nothing else. So for me, if I'm offer to choose between 20million naira cash or a government work whose salary is 30k for a start, I swear to God I will go for the 20million naira cash and establish a very good business that will be fetching me money on a daily basis, far more better than the civil service work. But if I'm ask to choose within a government work whose salary is 200k per month and 20million cash, I swear I will go for the civil service work. But just that such works are hard to find if you don't have godfathers in government.

Our country hard we know but wetin dey annoy me pass be say as them no wan increase salary for workers especially the civil servants. Those people dey try but Government go still dey pay them peanuts how them go take raise family or even think of to make a home with at least 40$ per month.
This thing na suffering and smiling 😅 no joy at all.

The 30k na minimum wage oo, no be the amount you go collect be that as salary. The 30k na just money wey if you dy work for government, you can't earn lower than the minimum wage.

To learn skills is very important at least you can liberate yourself from many things like time freedom, location freedom, financial freedom and at the same be your own boss. Start skills now and grow later.

In another view of point,no matter how busy and time consuming government job of 6am to 4pm is , there are still people that will do it. We can never drive on thesame part. While some detest government work some can do anything to get government work. The aim is be earning something rather than nothing.

Nothing wey peso go fit do for this matter via working from 8am - 5pm. Naso our working system been dey. You work from morning till evening, and you get paid by the end of the month. If you no want such a thing to happen for side, you start up a business for yourself by becoming a boss of yourself. That's the only way, I think peso go fit escape the Nigeria system of work.

You see as our working system dey so, no be wetin peso go talk sae em wan be wealthy from or get time to run other businesses of em choice. Na from year to year peso go d stagnant at a place only catering bills for emself and em family join. As for living a rich man live no go d peso side. You go just the work for peso on top insult for chicken change whereby you d enrich the peso wey you d work for. Em come be like monkey d work, baboon d chop am. Na the situation of things be that. Remember that you can be sack at any time

No be about people wey dey hear entering into politics. The people hear no be saint just like some other "good" people don enter politics say make dem go correct certain things but they end up being worse. The people na about the system wey no dey allow better thing continue. It is really endemic and the system need total overhauling by referadum or other means. Corruption dey kill will power and people become worse than you knew them.

Yes, the job system in our country is very bad, especially where we have to work long hours but pay less. I work in a company where I have too work from 7am to 4am with hard work. But the salary is accordingly very low at only 34k naira, where all the money to cover the expenses of self and family runs out at the end of the month. The rest day is Sunday to Sunday, during which there is some time to do homework. However, such a situation may not exist in other countries, but this problem is seen the most in our country. So we believe that the political leaders who will be in office later, should Abeg play the highest role on this issue, and we want to give the highest argument on this issue.

If you arrive at office by 6am and leave by 4pm, na better work you dey do naa, some employees in private firms especially POS terminals dey arrive 6am, and leave their work by 7:30pm, come go their Oga house use another 1hr balance account with better queries from their Oga. That kind person fit dey reach house by 9pm and the worst be say some of them even work on Sundays and their salaries aren't up to 15k monthly.  Sincerely, everything about job nature needs a  boost in Nigeria. People are in major slavery, just to survive because they can't stay idle and they receive little or no proper appreciation for their work. Government jobs are even slightly better cos they observe public holidays and skip weekends. Most private offices don't. In fact, I've worked in an organization that I come to work on Sundays and most times its very unplanned, like CEO just calls and fixes a meeting with you as soon as you're back from church.

The economy is very bad currently and that's the root of the problem, of we can get the economy back to what it was in 2015 or better, the 30k minimum wage is a big money cos then dollar was #150. Earning 30k then meant $200. Purchasing power was higher and people  were more comfortable. I honestly think the solution now isn't to increase the pay, if not we might reach the condition of Zimbabwe which has 2 million worth of its currency as a single denomination. The economy needs a major boost and things will normalize. The price of things keeps increasing and with increased salaries, you'll still find yourself not satisfied with your pay. The government has really failed us in this country.

It's not everyone who goes to work by 6 a.m. and comes back by 6 p.m. that is paid 30k. Some earn a very reasonable amount that doesn't even give them a thought about the amount of time worked.

Understand that being self-employed doesn't mean that you will have lesser working hours. As a matter of fact, if you're self-employed or even working from home, you will need a high working hours because your earning is 100% a function of your input which deals a lot with how much time you put into your work.

You are even talking of worker that work for only 10 hours I no say dem no dey work oo but did you ever ask those that are working in the POS hmm my brother people dey suffer for Naija oo POS worker day work for 12 hours or more than that and the amount way them dey pay them go shock you because dey pay some of them 10k some 15k some 20k if you see say you collect salary for POS wey reach 25k nah for big POS you day work wey dey get high profile if not you no go collect more than that 15k

What I can say is even though the government no get job opportunities and we day try our best create self employment and other job opportunities to others we should consider the lot of work dey do and pay them in good amount that dey can also enjoy their life without suffering if not we will end up cheating our self every day and getting our workers in to depths

And some of this office works sometimes sef their  is nothing that is going on but the management just want their workers to stay workers from morning time to evening time. This longtime to stay for work no how how system don dey for a very longtime.  With this longtime saying at work e no dey change anything to improve the country better and with all the time spent salary still becomes very low and no increase.  For some countries people work for few hours and are being payed well for the few hours of work but for our naija everything is different,  if you like work for 24 hours noting come out.

Nah this tok of say e better pass to stay idle na don make many gradutees son settle for less jobs for dis country wey na waec cert piple supos do. How as a graduate wey pay sch fees of 50k in a level go finish sch com comfortably dey do work wey salary no even reach your sch fees amount for university you go. And now these companies and private schs don take am as normal tin 30k for  dis current Naija wey economy hard lik dis. E better I bcom self employed and have control of my time and movement.

I rememba wen I first finish NYSC those first three months was hell as I been dey move from one office to another looking for job, even the worst part nah those private schools wey dey tok to pay me #25k in a month after I go de  handling 4 different subjects for two different classes. Only transport I will spend in a month don collect 6% of that salary and I go get to eat in the afternoon for sch oh. Like after reasoning all these tins I gat run back to forum after abandoning my account, I refuse to settle for less in the name of e better to no stay idle , I put in effort doing the extra ordinary now today nah me dey here. So wetin I dey try tok be say no be everytime e go dey reason those kind lines dem, e go make us no fit pursue our dreams wen we settle for less.

Life no really easy for this our country, I also can't imagine make person pass through those stress day by day for 30days, by going to palace of work by 6am and they go back home by 4pm  and 30k is still the minimum wage, that 30k wages no really worth any way  with this  bad economy we are facing nowadays this country. Just imagine marriage man when get family to feel his just collecting like 150k per month, how will this kind person live fine, and with this kind of job someone will hardly get side hustles time because this kind of job will take almost your time.

Dem dey call am 9 to 5, that's job wey you go do from 9 to 5 but for Nigeria na 8-5 as job dey start officially by 8 and end by 5, anything else no be working hours and we no suppose dey work to those time unless you dey work for where e demand you to stay pass that hour. Minimum wage no mean say na wetin dem dey pay people, na just minimum like people no supposed get pay lower than that amount and most job dey pay pass like dat. You no need to kill yourself my brothers, if you dey do job wey you no like no talk say you go manage am oh, commot for that job because e fit be that job wey dey weigh you back from achieving your goals for life. Some jobs dey like bondage and their boss dey use juju tire everybody down abi you never noticed say e get people wey go change job and immediately their life go dey better.


9-5 dey everywhere my brother, e no get country wey you go go wey you no go see people dey suffer like this. The only better thing for their side na say their money get better purchasing power and dem dey pay dem well. Here dem no dey pay us well and our money no get value. Money wey dem pay you, you no go fit use am buy anything for market but their side you fit survive on your salary and feed well (do other things too). All this one na because say our economy no good which is due to bad governance. Self employment no easy oh, e hard because you need to work before you chop and your working self no guarantee your choppings unlike when you go receive salary irrespective of how you work.

All this kind of work na suffer work, work with zero sleep dey affect health for real, and for that little pay 30k. Sometimes sef because of the stress and lack of rest the salary fit finish for buying of drugs talkless of feeding, house rent for this kind hard times. And na this kind work the boss go want make you work your ass out. But come to think of this matter people wicked ohh, why person go work from morning till night with this kind pay wahala, bambu go work money go chop, naija tire me oh. Na why I no like to work under person, na for this kind case I go advice the person to learn handwork or skill.

This kind of job plenty for our country no be small sef, 30k salary no even worth am at all, it still depends on the company the person dey work, e get some company work wey be say na farm work person go dey do, you will go to work from 6 A.M till evening time how are we going to say the money worth am, person go dey work to the extent him go dey pray say make God no allow him children face this kind things for life but base on say they don't have choice, that are the available work in the country.

Even half the money did not worth am at, na inside that salary you go take feed yourself because company no go feed you, immediately you receive salary your parents, you will never receive yet and they will be reminding you for house that this has finishe already just for you to know what they need. What if na person wey don marry? You will be thinking about yourself and still be thinking on how to feed your wife and children's, all this is happening just because no choice than to face it we all hope that there will be a better tomorrow for us, if not how person go comot for house since in the morning till evening just for hard work and no be say na bank work.

Op, na the sad reality be this for our country, everybody for this our country dey manage make dem see money buy food chop. But all this kind work wey dey take person time, energy and resources like this no good. This kind jobs dey drain person.  If person continue with that kind job for very long Time, e dey render person miserable.  Na why e good say make person eyes and ears dey open to opportunities. Once you see better offer, japa immediately.  Your mental health dey very important.  If you dey fortunate to get skills or savings wey fit help you set up something, abeg be your own boss.
Many employees go use you and still make you feel like dem dey do you favour. Many sef dey receive salary wey dey below official minimum wage. For Naija now, POS business better pass plenty white collar jobs. 6am-4pm jobs na no no for me.

OP no be small talk be this. The minimum wage compared to the job and economy too na heavy suffer head o. Man go wake up very early in the morning go work after the kitikata go come back late in most cases come meet economy wahala for house too. E no easy o. Na all these things dey make person dey feel say education na scam and waste of time. Person go spend good number of years for school finish with high expectations only to come out come jam wahala. As it stands now the current minimum wage Na rubbish because e no go reach anywhere at all. People dey really go through lots now and only those who get skills now Na Dem dey enjoy am dat is why e good make man learn extra skills aside going to school because Na that one fit put food for table now.

Being self employed is a good one because that would make you be the boss of your own while you do your business. This can only be achieved when you have the available capital and skills to start such business. Although there are investors out there looking for where to invest their funds and if luck being by your side, they find your business worth the money, they invest into it and your business will grow coupled with their connection they would unleash for your business so they could make profit from it. Self employed is not a bad idea because you will have time for yourself, family and all other things you find worthy of your time. You will also be an employer of labour too.

Seriously they suppose review the time and always change there payment methods look oyinbo people them go work still get enough time but how person go work from 8-4 stress go they because you close from work no mean say you go get time rest and you go think say this thing no they affect our health but the day the thing go come affect us they come na women i pity pass if them close from work them go cook still take care of children some go still go choir practice, aside everything abeg make we no they play with our rest. We know say we busy but make we they rest.
