If you have less than 1 GH/s, you can solo mine the ETC, Ethereum Classic. If you want to mine Ethereum, use pool.
Etc nethash is only 220GH, you really don't need 1GH to find blocks. I am not saying it is profitable but still a really nice testing platform for someone who is interested.
The ETC nethash is 700 GH/s. now. It seems miners are moving there as it is more profitable to mine now.

The ETC nethash is 500 GH/s now. The drop is due to the drop of the ETC price relative to the ETH price.

hm, maybe i should solo my ping is 18 ms avg but my hash is only 60 mh waiting for some place to sell rx 480 again id rather buy them from new egg places like that but those places are out of stock I got the cash so i wait.

Thats your own router. You need to look at first hop that is not on your/ your operators network.
You can try solomining with lower difficulty dagger-hashimoto coins. That gives you an idea about solo, if it still feels like your thing you can move on to bigger/ more profitable projects.

Try tracert ethpool.org. If your first hops are under 10ms you are good to go for eth solomining.

That is quite low. You can choose the server close to your site. But 66 ms is already very good for connection.

You should try that solomining now (etc).
solo/pool mixed mode about 70/30% ... will be my choice maybe.
Especially if you are generating coins for the pool more than you are earning I would definetely try solo. Someone mines a block every 14 seconds.

i solo mine, but only when i can get block fast enough not above 1 day on average, i don't take into account luck strike, those does not count at all
Have a bash at solo, I mined 2 blocks in the first 36 hours of mining with only 11Mh/s on just one HD7870, and everyone told me solo with only 11Mh/s was pointless.

You can always switch to a pool after a week if you don't get lucky.
My best advice for you is..... take advice from people that seem happy, and ignore the miserable miners that moan and complain. You may not get rich either way but you will enjoy it all the more.

that is just luck, do your really that this cna be considered a good estimate of how good you can do in solo mining? onbiously not, you will get your next block in 1 month if ever
unless you got those block months ago when diff was really low
How can we get 700MH? We should understand about it for first time before we choose solo or use a pool, because we don't know every bodies has 700MH.
