it is undeniable that 2017 is a phenomenal year for ico and cryptocurrency, but between some good and potential ico, some of them are ico scams but not up to 80%
From my experience over 70% of ICOs failed by some reason and about 70% of failed ICOs were just a pure scams.

Stunning research about ICO market comes from Cointelegraph:

A recent study prepared by ICO advisory firm Statis Group revealed that more than 80 percent of initial coin offerings (ICOs) conducted in 2017 were identified as scams. The study took into consideration the lifecycle of ICOs run in 2017, from the initial proposal of a sale availability to the most mature phase of trading on a crypto exchange.

So what about year 2018, will it bring us more of scam ICOs or less?

I based it on my experience, yes a lot of ICO are scams, some of them are paused, some didn't pay bounty hunters and most of them failed to enter the market, and if they managed to get in the market, the price is very low compared to when you bought it in their ICO stage and there could be more scam project this year because majority of the investors are so picky.

It based on their research, about my research : yeah there are so many scam projects but at same time there are few good projects that get poor attention from people. I think there will be less ICO ini 2019, and investors run away with disappoinment.

Certainly there will be fewer ICOs in 2018. Because everyone has experience in identifying which ICO is Scam. So it is very hard for the scam ICO to appear at this time. But with this market ICO good and quality also can not survive

I think that's true, in 2018 I think the number of phishing projects is not less than 80%, so you need to be vigilant to avoid making yourself a victim of fraud.

80% scams in which way, as in like leaving with all the money right away (like a planned scam) or did they just not manage to deliver?

My guess they are talking about planned scams and technically failed ICOs that never refunded their investors.

that sounds logical, well, technically failed ICOs - should/could the money really be redunded? in a sense it was collected to fund a project, if it then fails, it's not really fair to get the oney back as the money was supposedly used in the first place?  Huh

I hope no more scam/low-quality ICOs in this year. Some projects failed, not mean they're scam.

yes, and I'm a victim of lending ICO
after that I learn a lot and I never invest in any ICO, just wait after they listed on the exchange, then I started to invest
I think, better to be a trader than investor

Sorry to hear that mate. Lendings appeared to be a huge problem for the reputation of crypto.
And yes, it sounds like a good idea to purchase tokens after ICO on the current bearish market.
As for trading, from my experience it will take years to become a successful investor or trader.

In my opinion, the article is close to the facts that have occurred. This makes investors more loyal to ICO in 2018, preferring to invest in a more solid crypto and a top 20 in the crypto market cap.

I am not surprised with this all, all possibilities can happen, success or scam, but definitely do not get discouraged, do not give up, try choosing a good ICO, because there is still 20% ico no scam, and I suggest you to try chynge https://chynge.net is good ico in my opinion.
