You need more than a passphase to secure your coins. Get Keylogger and scan your computer for Maliware

can you do that with avg or do you recommend another program.

I noticed you had the CENT (pennies) wallet installed. The post linked to below claims that an old version of the CENT wallet had a virus in and it gives a link to a virus scan of the infected wallet.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4894361

The virus scan results provide an MD5 of the wallet file. Perhaps you could check if your wallet file and the infected one have identical MD5's.

Windows 7 and  Microsoft Security Essentials

I installed these wallets in january

leafcoin-qt-irc-fix.rar
COL-1.5.1-release.rar
USDe.zip
electric-qt.zip
fairquark-8.3.2.zip
DigiByte-Win-1.0.zip
SocialCoin-QT.zip
Pennies-v0.10.2.0-abe.zip
fckbankscoin-qt-v1.0.win.zip
NyanCoin.zip
giftcoin.zip
Sexcoin-0.6.4.1-win32-RC1.zip

Thx, the 1st one leafcoin-qt-irc-fix.rar sounds a bit suspicious also can't find it in the official leaf thread in the 1st post.

It sucks, could happen to anyone all it takes is one mistake.

You probabily can't do anthing now.

I read about such cases. Seems it's most often happens with Moon.

I wonder did you have any other wallet running next to this one at that time?

I always check that there is no other wallet is running when I open one.
Also I check that there is no strange unknown process running in the taskbar.

And yes I use paspharses...not for every wallet but for those that have some value in it.
So far I had luck and lost nothing. But my "values" are a joke compared to what others hold
maybe thats the best protection..there is nothing of value to get from me.

If possible buy a new computer just for the coins that you invested heavily on and you use the other computer for less important coins

again:

Do you have any anti-virus software running, which OS?
Did you install any alt coin wallets or other software in the past few weeks?

They're gone now, probably stolen. That's the downside of an unregulated currency world no going to the police for lost moon coins here  Cry

Yeah use the official links or just build from the original sources at github.  Not sure why people don't take some safety into consideration...
  • Always download from official site/link
  • Always encrypt your wallet
  • Always use 2-factor authentication

plus, dont visit phishing/scaming sites....

Do you have any wallet passphrase ?

no, I am using my computer just me.
actually do not think the thief need wallet passphrase..
when I send a coin to some address, wallet asks me for confirmation.
but tonight, when I sycnhronize my wallet, my whole moon coins went out without confirmation Sad

passphrase protect you from this...for each wallet one different passphrase would be very good or if you could create another user on your pc for storing all the wallet.

probably something that you have downloaded in the recent past days was the key for the thief for the access at your mooncoin wallet

nothing to do for your lost coins...sorry
