Well it may not even take 5 years for us to have 5 billion users. You see prominent people like elon musk openly praising it's potential and people will flock to it. We've come a long way in 10 years and the growth over the last 3 years is an indication that there will be mass adoption to come.
The average transaction per day is around three hundred thousand when it comes to bitcoin and i am not sure about the rest of the coins and you expect a billion people to do that in five years time, it is an impossible task, if he says that a billion people will be using cryptocurrency there must be a huge merchant adoption from major commerce sites online and if they accept bitcoin then we might see a turn around in the total number of users.

With time the adoption of cryptocurrency around the world has increased a lot. As the years pass automatically without a bigger hand it isn't possible to contribute to such a big number of cryptocurrency user expectancy in five years time and the make in it isn't that effective.

Maybe it's going to be the future but it's faster to digitize everything just like paying home bills, thus making the bitcoin a bit faster because it makes our transaction or things easier that we have to go and instead go there we can pay it even when we're at home, so it's okay to use bitcoin and hopefully get people to use bitcoin too.

And right now look at it ,it have so many investors so many publicity and we are still growing.
As we grow older, we realize that bitcoin is really good and in the future the mass adoption will happen. I think we can go beyond on that level, it may not be in the next 5 years but it will happen in time. Bitcoin is still young, we can still buy and hold for good. I think this is possible to happen after 5 years,, many people now are using bitcoin and other cryptocurrency to transact like payment mode or sending money. And also many company adopt bitcoin in their payment mode, and some banks accept bitcoin. We don't know what happen in 5 years, but we hope this will happen so that many people will benefits.

My opinion for this is that, if the community of the crypto currency will come to go to the moon again, an bring more opportunities, leading it to the good of all the crypto users, then that would be probably that a billion people will come to be using Bitcoin crypto currency in 5 years from now. That is only a prediction. It might happen but might also not be come true, as no one knows what the future holds.

In 5 years from now there will be more investors will come into the world of cryptocurrency even though it volatility still remains. In as much there is decentralization, volatility will be the order of the day. In my own opinion, in year 2020 there will be more potentials investors and the community will expand.

This is not far from reality as the popularity of cryptocurrencies in the whole universe is continue to spread,more an more people are gettin interests on what,how and why they may gain or use crypto from the virtual to real world.imagine how huge amount people invested in here last 2017. AND large we can get in the newr future.so billion people is not impossible to attain
It is a huge task to reach the billion mark, but it will happen in the future as it is difficult to predict that kind of adoption in five years time, the huge amounts that you are talking about came from a few big investors and not because of mass adoption, in order to have mass adoption we need more merchants accepting bitcoin and if that is the case we will have those numbers pretty soon. What Brian Armstrong says is true because even on my own community I see a lot of people become more aware about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency due to the lot of DAPP that is related to crypto and became useful for them. I even talked to one of them and he said that he really like the crypto app his using because they enjoying the app while earning some crypto.

It would be wonderful, but I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon. I don't know the number of people using cryptocurrencies right now but I know that it isn't used by nearly that number of people. Crypto needs to be much more adopted and accepted in order to reach that number and it surely needs more time than 5 years to reach that number.
