I feel El Salvador is carried away with the love that they have for bitcoin to the point that they are celebrating it alongside with Christmas. I know that the country has made huge profit from their bitcoin holdings, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't do the right thing at the right time. They should have taken a special day to celebrate bitcoin this way to gain more attention and not on festive period. El Salvador motto should be 'BITCOIN TILL I DIE'. Grin

Christmas isn't about celebrating Bitcoin and it's not supposed to be the center of the attention during this Holiday. For me it's too much to display a Christmas tree containing a Bitcoin hologram. There are another means to promote Bitcoin adoption and usage while still keeping the traditions and aesthetics of Christmas event.

Of course they are aiming a commercial effect through it. People tend to spend more money on Christmas to gift people around, so the responsible for the local organization is putting Bitcoin in evidence to encourage people to deal with Bitcoin.

World's first Bitcoin nation scales back crypto dream

It's really nice to see any country celebrating Bitcoin like this. what is your comment about this and about El Salvador 🇸🇻

Do you think your country also should celebrate in any occasion with Bitcoin?

It will be good if many countries celebrate Bitcoin because that will help Bitcoin grow and still have value in the eyes of people who are not still interested in Bitcoin, I will be happy if my country celebrates like this but Bitcoin is not a legal currency in my country, my country don't even allow anything that concerns cryptocurrency because they always see it as something that did not have value to the country, my country also sees cryptocurrency as the reason why the country is not progress.

Many people get involved in cryptocurrency and they have become successful people in life today through Bitcoin but in my country is not legal, Those countries that celebrate it know what they have achieved in it that's why they are celebrating it, I will be happy to see my country celebrate like this but our leaders won't allow that to happen.

It can be celebrated, but other countries cannot because there is much talk about its legality, so they do not feel comfortable celebrating it.

Countries that like cryptocurrency and work with it want to do something like this, but they can not because their country has many restrictions. Even if we want to do something like this in our country, we can not because we have many restrictions. But if something is ever done about our legality, then we can also freely discuss or celebrate something about BTC in an open way. But you share on photo its very extraordinary.

Kind of dubious if you ask me.  I do not think the Christmas spirit should have any thing to do with Bitcoin.  But maybe it is just me.

I get that El Salvador may be proudly displaying their love for Bitcoin.  But I believe one of the reasons we all celebrate Christmas is to forget about every thing else.  Imagine New York lit up a Christmas tree with '$' all over it.  Why would they?  Holidays are a way to escape reality for a moment and concentrate all the focus on your family.  Maybe I take it too harsh on them, but it looks like now they are trying way too hard.

The irony of life. While one country is condemning cryptocurrency including Bitcoin and saying that it is used for laundering. Another country is celebrating Bitcoin for bringing life and light to their country.

Well expect those things especially people have different belief so we cannot expect that other parties would really like Bitcoin since for sure that they will stick on those things that they are familiar with. Its just those people who's skeptical or hate Bitcoin doesn't want it that's why they are not celebrating together with this coin.

Since El Salvador is doing a nice thing so its not surprising that they celebrate Christmas by promoting Bitcoin since somehow their country is gaining a lot of profit from this that's why its expected that more celebration to come especially if they are still bullish and benefiting from thus coin.

Damn.
Is it that bad for you with crypto where you live? It's a shame and I hope it would change in the future.

I doubt it. Most of governments do not want crypto to flourish because it makes them less powerful.

However after a point, there might come a stage where even government is not capable to stopping bitcoin with restrictive laws and is forced to embrace crypto technology.

My country is not going to celebrate Bitcoin. Infact if the police see you with any thing that says "Bitcoin", best believe you'll be spending your holidays in the darkest coldest prison in the country.

That’s the spirit of Satoshi! They can do this every year as they continue to recognize Bitcoin as legal currency, showing their strong trust in Bitcoin’s future. The best part is that they hold the distinction of being the first country to declare Bitcoin as legal tender, which ensures their country grabs headlines with every related announcement they make.

The prestige from the actions they made already and in the past would ring a bell through the years to come.
Cheers to them.
