there is a bitcoin game called Dragon's Tale www.dragons.tl

i did mention to the owner to open up the ability for players to own market stands and casino's ... but it fell on deaf ears.

still its a good game to play as a more interactive faucet type of thing
That looks like a nice game, is it taking a lot of time each day or is that nice balanced.

its not aimed for the faucet raiding greedy mo'fo . its just a nice way to to play around with bitcoin.
(you get punished with time delays the more you try to raid)

its for people to have a few satoshi's (the real purpose of a faucet) .. not the greedy income hounds abusing it for themselves
I will try to install it on windows system. There is no app for IPhone or something but that don't Mather to much. I am not there to abuse there system only play a bit for fun.

In Satoshi I Trust

....

Now I'm wondering, what if we had a similar game, but this time, decentralized (no centralized servers for anything), using bitcoin as its currency?

Imagine a second world where you could do anything, such as: own land, build property, buy/sell stuff, open a casino, open an online business, without any US bullsh*t legislation? And all of it with bitcoin.

What do you guys think?

hello my friend  Smiley

i made pretty much the same statement/thread 2 years ago and this scenario is still amazing in my view.  Smiley
important is, as you pointed out , that this game is  decentralized. and also the creators should not be able to add more land or commodities. there has to be a fixed supply like on earth. just imagine a world like GTA  Smiley !

unfortunately i think that this kind of game is too complicated at this point but a game like this could have massive value.

Yeah would be great playing the auction house on world of warcraft with bitcoins. I read a few people played the Diablo 3 real money auction house and made some decent money. Never actually played second life but excited about the thought of an mmorpg based around a digital currency

I have always though that a role playing game with bitcoin as its currency will be great. The one mentioned here is too simple and text based, but just imagine a world of warcraft or similar with satoshis instead of "golden" coins.

Great for adoption to be sure.

a game built on blockchain could be decentralized, there is already one i don't remember the name, but it's a card game, if they can make some competitive complex game on the blockchain akin to starcraft or some random good fps, it would certainly attract more people

another thing that i want to see would be in a rts for example, where the resource ingame are based on bitcoin/alt, you can make a game like starcraft(again sry but i love starcraft Grin, Broodwar more than sc2) and use as a main resource bitcoin and an altcoin for the second resource

basiclaly your scv will mine bitcoin ingame while you play, would be awesome

... I don't even know of any decentralized game..

Exactly, back in 2006 nobody heard of any decentralized money either....

I seriously think, a game like this would not only revolutionize the internet, but also it would revolutionize bitcoin.

I think it's a good idea but is it feasible to create a decentralized game with the same quality of graphic, etc.? I don't even know of any decentralized game..

well games like call of duty online.. have all the graphic data locally on peoples PC. the only reason for a server is to link people together to share their current position on a map and what they are doing (crouching jumping shooting)

these vectors and actions can be decentralised by people linking direct between each other (simply changing the server IP to a direct person)

Hi Everyone,

Don't know if you guys remember, but back in 2006 there was a huge hype with Second Life.

Basically for those who don't know it is a game where you can have a second life literally. (It still exists today)

This game, has it own currency, called Linden. You could buy stuff, own land, property, etc. Back in 2006 there was a huge hype with this game, such a huge hype, that even banks, BIG banks, were literally creating virtual banks inside the game, where people could deposits their Lindens.

Of course this game is centralized and so is its currency, so back in 2006, the US jumped in to impose regulations on the company owning the game.

This generated some changes, like restrictions with their currencies, ban of casinos and other stuff inside the game, etc. (All the US legislation bullshit basically was forced upon the game)

And so the hype died.
