the first bitcoin can have a high price because the market demand for bitcoin is very high one reason is because bitcoin is becoming popular and is starting to be accepted by the global market, the growth of crypto activists is very high even bitcoin is becoming a new trend among global society and hence crypto value is soaring but now bitcoin has begun to lose its appeal especially there are many coin competitors that will distract investors from bitcoin not to mention because the spread of bitcoin is increasing along with the increasing number of bitcoin inventories generated from the blockchain system and of course it will greatly affect prices because bitcoin loses value he added rather than other coins, namely "scarcity of supply"
then the question is what will make bitcoin recover and can have high prices again?

This is just my opinion, I guess the thing that will make the bitcoin recover again is a set of good ICO's in the market, in this case, if these ICOS will just allow payment through bitcoin, the bitcoin will have a huge demand to reach ATH again.

Actually stable or massive demand and supply in the market is the real key for bitcoin to recover,  but unfortunately it's impossible to happen because more people nowadays always complain and spreading false information which is really affect in bitcoin value. And probably this scenario will always happen in the future  and there's no chances for great and stable growth rate IMO because of some factors as well that always suddenly exist.

Bitcoin has lost the trust of many people. Many of the crypto currency projects failed. New and powerful projects are a must for Bitcoin to grow again. In this way the demand increases again and the Bitcoin is strengthened.

The supply and demand logic is one of the primary reasons why I strongly believe that Bitcoin will recover in a big way, but this will take a lot of time which is why investors need to stay patient.

Forget the ETF proposals since I feel none of them will spark any kind of rally in the future and screw the theories about Bitcoin merging with other coins since I find such theories laughable.

I do not think other altcoins affect the rise or the fall of bitcoin. Bitcoin still remains the king of other coins, and it majorly decides the hope of other coins. Once bitcoin rises, other coins also rise. But, I guess there is a declination in Bitcoin investment. Perhaps that's the reason for its fall. I think things are beginning to change.
It seems that from tomorrow Bitcoin may cease to exist. I still can not believe it. They write that tomorrow Bitcoin and ethereum can merge together and form a new coin - bithereum.
For those who also can not believe it, I give the link: https://bithereum.network.
I still see that this will be a complete revolution in our understanding of cryptocurrency. True, most likely that the bithereum will appear along with the existence of our traditional Bitcoin and ethereum, as it always has been in such cases.

the question is what will make bitcoin recover and can have high prices again?
For Bitcoin to be able to recover it needs a mass adoption, I mean Bitcoin is already popular but some people still don't want to get involved to it in many reason and one of the reason is legality in some locations. But the biggest solution for this is for countries to create regulations about cryptocurrencies and since many countries still don't have law and regulations there are people that are still afraid to adopt cryptocurrencies. If governments will post a good regulations, there will be more traders and investors will be tempted to enter the market.
As what you have said yes, it needs a big amount of mass adoption which one of this are investors and the legality of bitcoin in which government in every country is the only one who can make it possible, besides we all crypto users can get benefits of in the near future. Bitcoin is already popular by now, due to the price right now we all know that there's a good and bad possibilities that can bring to us.

Yep, it's just the usual market cycle.  It's not like it really needs to recover from anything substantial.  Would be nice for security be better and easier to use.  But that's not why the price is where it is right now.  People keep using bitcoin.  I use it regularly.  It's just a mater of psychological energy and momentum.  Bitcoin will pick up again.  No worries here.

From what i understand that applied on all of the cryptocurrency (not just bitcoin) something that able to rise the price of every coins are, the demand on the coins, the more investors making their investment on a coins, that way will pull up the price of a coins.

I think he is right partially. Instead investors focus on Bitcoin only, now they invest in other alcoins. That makes the market cap of bitcoin decrease significantly.

In my opinion, $20k is not the real value of bitcoin, because this price is reached by FOMO effect, at least in 2017. So I think the current price is not a "low" price as we think.

as we all know that there are times when Bitcoin used to be very expensive but along with the development of crypto launching new coins, which caused price or demand instability. New investors continue to grow and currently many projects fail, this is probably the worst year of Crypto. I don't really understand Crypto's philosophy, but I believe crypto is a good future.

the question is what will make bitcoin recover and can have high prices again?
This type of question had been asked in this forum for more 1000 times and bitcoin proved its potential every time since then. One simple answer is, in next 20 to 25 years, one bitcoin may value half the billion. It may sound unrealistic to you and most of the people in this forum but that is the real fact and may happen in some year around 2040. Believing in to such an predictable value for bitcoin must be the factor which I am still holding in my heart so that I am deliberately expecting that bitcoin prices to recover anytime soon.

The volume of Bitcoin is still the highest to date, but no one knows why prices always go down, is this the reason there is no more trust by investors.
Prices are going down due to the reasons of market manipulators and innocent traders who are listening to FUDs. Bitcoin is being trusted by many financial institutions and lots of individual investors around the world and that is the reason prices are still three times higher than what we had by the end of 2016.

By bitcoin recovering I believe you mean a spike in its current price. Actually right now, the reason why everything is on a stand still is because adoption is very slow and almost negligible mainstream. But with the current rumours on ground, if actualized, then the market will recover with a massive boom. A popular international school  started accepting BTC and ETH as payment for masters in cryptocurrency for Business management students. Big news like this will definitely cause a positive uptrend.

bitcoin will recover only if it gets support in terms of volume, investor confidence in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency must comeback soon

the question is what will make bitcoin recover and can have high prices again?
in the short-term? Probably fresh capital from the institutional investors that are waiting on the sidelines for a regulatory framework to be in place in the first semester iof 2019. They could also be waiting for the several events that we'll see in related to Bitcoin and cryptos in Q1 of next year, for example, the Bitcoin ETF, the Fidelity crypto trading platform, or the launch of Bakkt. All of them have the potential to attract big investors.

Now, in the long-term, probably the adoption phase, as more people get involved with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, demand will increase which will spark a new wave of FOMO resulting in the price going up and probably reaching new ATH's.

This comes new institutional investors, people, corporations, banks, and most importantly the approval of the SEC and regulators of all countries, which will give an official start and a new world, and an open road, which will go to major players and corporations, so these factors will be key, as already everywhere say about the fact that the blockchain is the future,

Well, BTC requires big players for investment as it has dropped very badly this year its has lost significance of the investors. It needs to play a vital role for a recovery atleast if it want to see it in a stable position.

The Bakkt exchange is going to make crypto currencies great again and this within the upcoming few months. However I have heard, that the Bakkt launch is going to be prolonged till the second quarter of 2019.
