A good listener is very suitable to be a consultant, but a good leader must be able to choose which advice to choose because there are also many good and successful leaders who do not want to hear, but do what they think is good.

Listening as a leader is really good otherwise you don't deserve to be a leader. No human leader is perfect, so it's important to always listen and select/implement the good advices.
I can imagine being a leader without listening and accepting good ideas from my people. The people should be able to call for my removal of I don't pay attention to them and take their good advices seriously.
One of the most important thing as a listening leader though is to able filter out the insults, lies, deceptions, intentional bad advices etc
without getting influenced by them.

This is definitely true, experience is the best teacher and some it can either mould us to be better or break us
But it is indeed that we must learn from our experiences and to be a good leader we must be a experienced one.

Yes, I completely agree with that. But I also believe that it is important not only to be a good listener, but also to be able to distinguish grains from chaff, because on the Internet (and around the world) there is a lot of stupid and unnecessary information that is not useful for your development. You need to be able to analyze the information received and take all the best from different areas that you study.

I really don't care about hierarchy since I don't do any bounty campaign for a profit.
My bounty campaign will only for humanitarian and philanthropic interests. That means I will promote anything that is worthy of promoting in the signature campaign just like Bruno's last exit plea.
In other words, this one is applied to every aspect of my life now. I believe in this and I picked these actions in my last few life as my resolve in changing the world since I understand that our life is too small and our time is too little I know you will understand it too.

All of our presidents, teachers, professors and admin in this forum became a good listener before and even now. A good leader is a good listener, as per beginner out there, do not worry. All of the of those persons that have a high rank here also became like that. We are all came from being so innocent from this forum, experience is the very best thing that we should have for to become a better person, we should read some threads here, which is very helpful for us to gain so much knowledge, and also you should a good listener, all of the leaders in this forum or even in the real world, became a good listener as well, we should be like that if we are still a beginner because if we have that kind of characteristic then for sure we will become successful in the future.
I totally agree with you. And natural born leaders are usually natural born listeners to. They always put themselves into someone else's shoes to make sure what needs to be done in order to have a resolution without taking advantage of anyone. These leaders are mostly the ones who rise above the rest!

I agree to you, sir. Being a good leader, you must know first how to listen. Listening to your subordinates will do you a lot. You will be able to know what are needed to be improved and or what your company or colleagues need, I mean, you surely needs to gain the trust of your colleagues for they will be trusting you fully in the future.

Just remember. Good listening is only the first step. The next step is to understand what everything heard really means, and where the people really are. After that comes the part for manipulating the people.
This is probably one of the best qualities. Many people in life try on the contrary to speak loudly and make themselves known. But those people who listen and learn from others more will achieve more in life than those who speak loudly and much.

If you want to be a good leader you have to listen to others people's problems and try to understand their needs.
Only by doing so, you are going to be in a position to solve their problems. Otherwise, leadership is not effective as it doesn't focus on the real problems but on theoretical ones.

Well said mate, you should be a good leader not only in this forum but also in real life, actually if you apply it in a real-life it would be really better because if you are listening well to the others, you will gain so much information that you may use to become successful in the future, there are a lot of ways for you to become a good listener, first is listen before you talk, you should wait for the person who talks to you to end his or her statement before you speak, and don't judge immediately to the things that he or she says. As the person who have a high position you should be a good example to the people and inspire others to become a kind of follower with respect to everyone.
Being a good listener enriches your understanding and your relationship with the community, there are a lot of people that you can see in the community, and some of them are meant to help you. Most of them will try to pool you, so be observant and choose those people that are good for helping you to become a better person.
