As far as I know, it was mostly completed a few years ago. Soooo... it should be out any day now.  Im sure of it!  Wink
New forum software child board is where we can discuss new ideas to develop and improve the new forum software.

Yes, but I dont really see the point in proposing new features and discussing new ideas if the development of new forum software is currently at a standstill. Its been years since theymos said new software was mostly done so we should have seen some development by now.  I can only assume that the whole idea has been abandoned.

You never can tell, it could be that the proposed ideals for new developments is understand researching in considering how the change can effectively be of good features to the platform.
Remember there had been multiple of these proposals so featuring all of it may compromise the forum system so, It could be that they're currently on technical examinations to find the best that's if there was any though.

It would be helpful if there is a feature that allows users to see who quoted them and where. Sifting through all the replies can be very time-consuming, and important interactions can easily be missed.

This already exist as you have been informed earlier, you can make use of the telegram bot for that using the link above to set for that feature, alternatively, you can also set for notify me button on each board as the case may be, you will be notified from any thread you're been quoted or a new reply is made and this goes directly to your inbox on the email address used on the forum, but most make use of the telegram bot for more features as they may want like merits, mentions, quotes and so on.

The provided link would enable you track your posts and whenever you're being mentioned in the forum through the telegram. I think I was also late to this tracking notification system otherwise, I've always gone back to my threads time after times just to access replies and I've really missed a lot but once I was able to activate the telegram tracking system, It got me feel comfortable and relaxed in the forum to have my posts and mentions flexible on tracks.

2020 and 2021 are like most active years for discussions in that child board and with lack of discussions, ideas from community, I don't know there are active testers for the new forum software. I lack of hope to see the new forum software launch in future.

Admins need to consider to pin this guide thread if it is still usable.

Man, I really hope that New Forum Software is going to be released soon.  I betcha it's only a matter of weeks, right?  Right?

I use forum search and it works very well for me.

Wow! You've done an amazing job developing this Telegram bot. Kudos!  If so many people are facing this issue, I wonder why these features aren't provided within this forum itself?
Not everyone here uses Telegram, they avoid doing so because there's a possibility that someone might use that knowledge that they're using Telegram to scam other people and impersonate them when in reality you didn't scam them and someone just used your identity, now if you're in the accusation, you will have a hard time proving that you really didn't do anything to that person because you got a Telegram so in a sense, it's much easier to protect yourself from identity theft related scams in Telegram if you just don't have it.

If you don't use telegram, I'm afraid there is no built in feature in the current forum software for that.

I would love to see a forum-based feature like the one OP suggested (and I've seen the suggestion before and am aware of the telegram bot, btw).  If I might ask, doesn't it seem kind of odd that a lot of members trust telegram, since it doesn't appear to be very privacy-oriented?  There was a time where I tried it on the suggestion of someone, and in order to register they wanted all sorts of personal info--including your phone number, which if I'm not mistaken, had to be a real one in order to receive an SMS text.

Man, I really hope that New Forum Software is going to be released soon.  I betcha it's only a matter of weeks, right?  Right?

Op don't worry you will learn many things in the forum. There are other servers attached to this forum which you don't know and I think they have shown you the notification bot and let me show you another one. See your profile in another server.

In addition to the Telegram bot, TryNinja has also developed another fantastic tool for the community: ninjastic.space. Basically, it's like a search engine for the forum. Just type in your username, and it will efficiently locate all posts where you're mentioned or quoted.

It basically can be seen on the Show new replies to your posts.
This doesn't show the posts in which your post has been quoted. It displays the threads in which there are unread replies made after your post.
Well, it does make sense, but just like i said its basically still there — if someone quoted your post. Telegram notification bot doesn't have the quoted post specifically, since it can do just mentions. Technically, there's no feature available the shows the list of quoted posts of some user.

The forum has its own way of informing you that you have been quoted or new topics or replies has been made since you visited a thread, which is in the email you used for creating you forum account.
Wrong. The forum has no tool that notify you about your post being quoted.

Thanking you is not enough because you have created such an important thing, and I can't stop praising it. Even though I am out of the forum, I am always active because it always gives notifications about what is happening by mentioning me.

I'm always thrilled when you think of this. It's beneficial. memehunter, If you connect with this Telegram bot, you will quickly get information.

I have been using LoyceV's notification bot for years, and I am happy with it. It doesn't require that you use Telegram, which is one of the main reasons I decided to try it out.
You can see how the page where you will see your notifications looks like here > https://loyce.club/notifications/112493.html
That's my notifications page.

You can also monitor the replies in the threads you have posted in from your watchlist. Every time someone posts in a thread you posted in, it will shoot to the top on your watchlist. It's not ideal, but a decent alternative.

Usually get notifications from my mail, although I haven't been using after I knew about the bot but the forum has its own ways without the telegram bot.

You can set that up for the email notification here Notifications and Email

I'll share my experience using it since the past year. It has been one of the bots that has helped me to stay active on the forum. And keep up with topics in my favorite boards. And before a thread reaches the third or fourth page that may be crawling with repetitive answers,  I've already made my reply and moved on . I only to return when someone mentions me and I check back to see if it requires my reply or not. Only a genius could have thought about this.

It would be helpful if there was a feature that allows users to see who quoted them and where. Sifting through all the replies can be very time-consuming, and important interactions can easily be missed.

This telegram bot does exactly that and more: See who mentioned you (without quoting), who gave you some merits, watching certain boards for new topics, etc.[1]

If you don't use telegram, I'm afraid there is no built in feature in the current forum software for that.
