It's not just China! Even a small state of India has started issuing blockchain based birth certificates since last year. The state name is West Bengal and they are now exploring the opportunity to implement blockchain solutions in land records department. See the news below,

https://www.cryptoground.com/a/first-blockchain-based-birth-certificate-issued-india

Blockchain is slowly making its way into data intensive fields and most surprisingly, they are making impact in government departments as well. If blockchain is implemented in land records department effectively, thousands of court cases will be saved!
That is a good initiative and West Bengal is under Mamata Banerjee who is a progressive leader and not like the power house in the central who is always against progressive approach and no wonder they are implementing blockchain solutions in different sectors as they took the initiative to understand the real potential of blockchain, many countries will start implementing projects in blockchain and this is just the beginning and every sensitive records should be moved to blockchain to prevent manipulation.

I am also very confident that this blockchain is able to overcome the things that exist in the government. But I can't think that the government will adopt the blockchain that fast, maybe in the next 5 years. Then will the blockchain look obsolete after 20 years?

To sum up the whole topic, the term "Blockchain" has somehow been distorted into a catch-all phrase that means finding a cost-cutting method of storing digital information.  It bears little to no resemblance to what any crypto users are talking about when they refer to blockchains.  In the vast majority of cases, these are not open, public, distributed blockchains.  It's just a bunch of private companies looking to reduce their operating costs.  As such, these particlar "blockchains" are neither noteworthy nor interesting.

China is moving forward more more! I won't be mistaken if I say it's one of the main leaders of crypto industry. If they implement blockchain technology not only in the sphere of notarial services, but also in real estate or education, where it is important to confirm the authenticity of documents, this will allow them quickly access the data and ensure that they have not been replaced for the purpose of fraud

Well, using blockchain technology does not mean they are supporting bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Blockchain is a form of technology and it is use it in cryptocurrency. Bitcoin needs blockchain but blockchain does not need cryptocurrency. And yes, there are a lot of advantages of using blockchain technology and I think every country should consider it.

It's great to see that amidst all the threats and ban in China regarding cryptocurrencies there are industries who are using blockchain technology. I am very hopeful in future China would open its arms to blockchain and legalize cryptocurrencies.

So if the title says like that, we still have a chance to see Chinese will still use blockchain, and they don't really want to ban the cryptocurrency.
I am sure that they will get a fast developing for their country and that means, their country could compete with the other big country.
Besides that, by using blockchain technology, they can solve the recording of the transaction, and it could be more simple to access.

We're now into the web 3.0 which is completely connective to the blockchain ecosystem. What we see just the beginning and in the days to come expect more and more growth to happen with the adoption of blockchain all around. As it gives access to monetize we can reach out the growth in a short, and for the same good understand need to be made among the common people.

That's just it, though.  I doubt this has anything to do with the common people.  I'm pretty sure they aren't going to be the ones with a copy of this blockchain.  And it's not accurate to call it "web 3.0" until they do.  When ordinary people are involved, that will be progress.  Until then, it looks like it's just a private company updating a database.

This will be a great advancement knowing that China is one of the biggest country out there who can surely move a mountain if they like.

Blockchain have plenty of uses especially if we are going to use it for good reasons. Implementing it to prevent a fraud is another step for improvement knowing that fraud are everywhere. Though using it for notarial services is another step for global acceptance already, it's a matter of time that it will be use widely.

What Mamata Banerjee is doing is WB, is a whole new discussion which I don't want to start here! But if you want to sell off your land or house to anyone, you will first have to bribe to the local party office and then you will be allowed to do so. Three months back, my mother in law sold a flat in Kolkata and she had to pay 50 grand to local party office for nothing. But that's another discussion!

However, one thing I agree, that she isn't harsh like the current central government leaders abd also not religiously biased. I sincerely hope that blockchain will eventually find its way into the government departments in its own sweet time.

I have heard that China is banning crypto services in their country. Isn't it hard for them to continue with blockchain or even accepting payments through it when they're country is against it?
Well, that notary office is wise on using blockchain, if most establishments would implement using it as well,
there would be a convenience.

Where's this information coming from? Would you mind putting a source of this information?

I know China bans bitcoin exchanges, but they use blockchain which I believe bitcoin has originated, they just want their own coin to be popular.

This is a good news actually, and I also feel in my country, there is a need for this and more so, the most important is the election through blockchain.

I thought China is still disclosing the use of blockchain technology since they are banning crypto.
But it is a good thing to hear that China have found blockchain technology being usable. If this leading country will appreciate and justify the used of this technology will probably others will follow by then.

In the case of real estate, I would find it extremely difficult to believe that anyone would be able to readily commit fraud. Someone would have to go to relatively extreme lengths to be able to convince someone else that they owned the property when there's no evidence that they do, and even then fraud could be easily detected with a search on (usually) widely-accessible public databases. I don't think you need to have the blockchain verify who owns what chunk of land, at least in most cases.

As for education, that might actually be a good use of blockchain-verifying tech. Potentially someone could find a way to mimic the paper copy of a degree of education from an institution right now, and for a lot of employers, seeing that paper would be enough. It's only when it's obvious that you have no education or certificates that they start looking. Regardless, creating a signable token for an institution to provide to graduates would be a decent idea. However, some people might not want their GPAs to be public knowledge. In that case, it might be worth considering the side effects of such a system, assuming it's public like existing blockchains.

There are actually different adoptions and implementations involving cryptocurrency which we can't recognize at some point. There are universities in our country which accepts cryptocurrency and some small stores because the owners are well engaged to crypto. China would surely go more and could make every businesses involving crypto more successful.

Eh, probably some centralized ledger/database system that's just been turned into a 'blockchain' for hyping purposes and not really a true blockchain to begin with. Anyhow, if the Chinese are confident into using blockchain in their legal services (if it's indeed one), then I guess the rest of the world will follow suit with their own applications of the said tech (as was always hinted from the very beginning).

We all have our own justified definitions of the blockchain that the word itself is vaguely and loosely used in a lot of situations. Now I don't want to be a 'know-it-all' dude but it seems that this is just another private, centralized database tagged as a 'blockchain' by some random article.

I assume this is the source OP is referring to?

Sorry for the reality check, but I'm going to rain on the parade a bit here.  I know in the early days of crypto, due to all the hype and novelty, people generally believed that everything was going to run on a blockchain in the future.  But after witnessing most of the attempts that have been made to do it so far, I think it's only responsible to temper those expectations just a little bit.  I was posting about this in Meta the other week.  It seems like, most of the time, when companies say they're using "blockchain", what they actually mean is "a centralised database", but they're calling it blockchain to generate attention in the media.

What we need to verify is:

  • Who is securing this particular "blockchain"?
  • How decentralised is it?
  • Is it sustainable by having sufficient incentive for users to keep securing it?

It's not possible for me to get excited by this until we know if it's something truly revolutionary, or just another bunch of marketing executives trying to cash in on the hype.

What stops them from creating a centralized database for education and for authentication of documents? Considering that it will be centralized in hands of "trusted" people it would still provide valid data.
Chinese government is extremely centralized. Small part of blockchain implementation is made in order to cut some costs and not supposed to make any desicion making process more pure.
