Being one of the biggest initial Bitcoin supporters, Wikileaks is now accepting officially in there store Bitcoin Cash, according to the official announcement made by the organization, on the 1º of November. The price of the digital coin, created after the hard-fork of Bitcoin Blockchain on the 1º of August, went immediately higher after the statement of the Wikileaks organization. It reached $500 and at this moment of writing is on $600 with a market cap of $10 billion. This away we can assume that Wikileaks is still supporting Bitcoin and the Alt-coins forked of the main Blockchain.

Joke's on the US government lol. I don't think he should be taunting them at the moment though. It still seems like Bitcoin is still on shaky ground in the legal aspect.

Nobody is taunting any government... people just push back when they are backed into a corner. This is exactly what

happened with WikiLeaks. They got blocked from all sides and Bitcoin provided them with a alternative, when all other

government controlled entities failed them. This is why decentralization is so important.. nobody must have absolute power.

This is like some body tweets about if you are thirsty, drinking water would help you. this is not a perfect use case at all, this is just the normal and natural use case for Bitcoin. VISA is not servicing my country for years, now if more than 70 million people in my country start using Bitcoin, it would be a perfect use case.

That would be very true, actually bitcoin survived because it was not commercialized , I think thats the main reason satoshi had to hide his identity

That tweet reply though. People are still comparing bitcoins to the tulip bulb mania? What the hell? I don't mind criticisms of bitcoin, but this is pure ignorance.

The Founder of wikileaks posted on his twitter how bitcoin bitcoin has become profitable over 5000% after his his means of donation was blocked illegally in 2010 , this is one perfect use-case of bitcoin, ( https://twitter.com/JulianAssange/status/919247873648283653/photo/1 ) , but from the replies, its seems most people are still ignorant of bitcoins..
I do not know the purpose of this post, but if it means to show the high bitcoin price, that's the reality
Bitcoin gave WikiLeaks a way of accepting donations, since they're most likely blocked from accepting fiat donations.

Another positive news about bitcoin. Good one. But at least during those years people still don't have faith on a 3 dollar gold. Does it say how much he invested in during that time of year? Because most of us would have known btc then but also i was not interested on how it is mined and back then their a lot of internet scams andas a person who really is not familiar around the web, i just neglected it.

He never stated the amount but from the look of things he should be super rich

This is not a use case. This is irony. The US governments actions resulted in unintended consequences. Any organisation, and not just wikileaks, could have invested in bitcoin if it wanted to.

I agree that there are still many people who are truly ignorant in terms of bitcoin, even some rich people does not know about bitcoin, and some really give a comment of illegality of bitcoin which is so very bad in view of bitcoin at all.

The people who knows about bitcoin never say any thing bad of bitcoin as they know the true power of bitcoin.

Bitcoin will never fall because there is alot of investment in there, who will like to sell his coin cheaper than he bought, unless in emergency or rare cases ..

Smart move from wikileaks - did not use Bitpay or similar service that immediately convert btc to usd after transaction

I'm pretty sure the feds would prevent WikiLeaks from accepting Bitpay donations anyway. I mean, they used bitcoin for donations because it doesn't go through a 3rd party, whereas Bitpay is sort of a 3rd party.

He doesnt need bitpay, he can just put his btc address on his site..

Those people are not ignorant, they hate bitcoin, but whatever, who cares about them.
I`m curious what`s going on with Wikileaks. There haven`t released any new and shocking discoveries about anyhting. It`s like Wikileaks is dead...
Anyway,i guess that Julian Assange is a bitcoin millionaire...

They havent because their boss Assange is in exile, cases of rape and others has been leveled against him.. for now he must seek asylum in Ecuador

This is a perfect real world bitcoin use scenario. Not being able to use normal everyday banking facilities is a major restriction but the obvious alternative is bitcoin. This indeed is what authorities hate about  crypto, they have no control

What a funny tweet from the man himself. LOL.

I was not also aware that McCain et all has erected an illegal banking blockcade against Wikileaks. Don't mind the reply though, majority are still ignorant want bitcoin is and what it can do. But I have to agree, this is another great publicity for bitcoin. Look at the replies,  seems that there are always two side of the story, but the rest, because of their hatred against Jullian, was blinded and just posted non-sense attacks.

And I'm pretty sure that this will really attract media attention for Julian and bitcoin. Which will bring another positive note of our side. Bitcoin has really change the political, economic and financial outlook on a global scale. Let's wait till another high profile political person spread the news, and I'm sure that bitcoin will be pump again.
