For now Bitcoin Cash is just a great leverage used by the big mining companies. But I think there is a little chance that Bitcoin Cash will replace Bitcoin in the future. Maybe those chances are as big as the chances of Dogecoin to replace Bitcoin. Grin

I see it as 2 Bitcoins instead of only 1. Bitcoin split into 2 coins. Not really an alt coin.  They both have roughly the same supply of coins. They both have the right to a similar Bitcoin Logo and name. Experiments will be done with the Bitcoin Cash coin which  will likely pay off.   Smiley

I'm dumping it.

Bitcoin Cash literally has no media hype. Bitcoin has and will have plenty in the future. I can't buy into BCC until I see some original utility out of it.

When the blockchain hard forked, I did not care about splitting my coins. But when I saw it was trading at more than $500, I decided to split them later and to wait for the price to go higher. But the price dived and now I regret it.

What about the rest of you, have you already dumped?

Actually even you split your bitcoins, your bitcoins will not gone right ? You still have your bitcoin and have an additional bitcoin cash. I already dumped my bitcoin cash when the price still high, because i'm sure the price will not stay high because many people have many bitcoin cash too.

If you know what you're doing you will still have a wallet full of Bitcoins and another wallet full of Bitcoin cash coins. If not you could end up with nothing. If you're not an expert at moving keys around, wait until you know what you're doing.

I was notified by Coinbase that they would not honor Bitcoin Cash and that their was going to be some type of fork. Didn't know exactly what they were talking about so I just played it safe and waited it out. I only had less than 2 Bitcoins on their site. I wasn't aware until late 8/6/2017 that I would be getting free coins.

When I first spotted Bitcoin Cash on the crypto market I was pissed  because it was as if they were copying the logo of Bitcoin to fool dumb people. Now that I know what it is I like the idea, as I will be getting thousands of $ worth of free coins. Even as Bitcoin is already Skyrocketing!  Grin

I wouldn't be surprised if this coin goes 1 to 1 with Bitcoin once everyone understands what has taken place.

It's extremely risky to put all your coins up on an exchange. So I'm going to import keys into a new BTC Cash wallet. I'm running out of hard drive space on my computer so I'll have to get another with much more memory.

Looks like the Bitcoin Cash price has been recovering. Plus 32% today.  Cheesy

Fortunately, I had mine on Bittrex so I was able to dump it early.

This coin brings absolutely nothing to the table, now when BTC SegWit get s activated, BCC will become completely useless and obsolete. So dump that shit.

You were one of the lucky ones. But did you send all of your Bitcoins on Bittrex just for the hard fork? It must have been very scary for you. I know I cannot do that even with a small amount. Doing that with 10 Bitcoins or more would certainly make me anxious and give me an acidic stomach!

I dumped my BCH almost immediately which I did regret since the price increased quite a bit.
But in the end I don't give a damn, I got my airdrop and I'm pretty happy.

I had my BTC on Bittrex so it was very easy for me.

The price was set to drop in hours after the hardfork. But it took time because various exchanges didn't open the withdrawal and transfer immediately and people weren't able to claim their BCH easily. You definitely did a mistake in waiting for dumping your BCH.

I was able to sell my half of the BCH amount at $800 as they were on exchange and the other half at $400. So overall I made a decent profit out of my free coins.

I haven't dumped, I am not planning to. Yesterday I bought more BCH at just over $200. I'm planning to buy more, I'm waiting for these dumpers to finish their thing.

All I know is that I know nothing.
To those of you still with bitcoin cash, are you planning to hold it?  Or just waiting until it get higher?  Or should you sell it now since people say it might get lower even more?
Also how many ppl out there percentagewise would you say still haven't claimed their bitcoin cash yet?

from what i have heard from other people so far and when i talk to my friends, and also from what i personally have done; i can tell you that majority of people have claimed a portion of their BCC. like their hot wallets or what they keep on exchanges.

most rewards that are still in cold storage are not claimed. you see, it is hard and risky to import a paper wallet for example and it takes a lot of work to create a new one to transfer your bitcoin there and bitcoin cash to exchange to dump.

percentage-wise i can say the dump that we have seen so far is about 10% of what it will be in total.

I already dumped my bitcoincash because i believe that it will not reach any thing because it is just like a replica of bitcoin and bitcoin will still be the cryptocurrency with a huge volume and that where i'm going to focus and concentrate and not to new coins that are useless for me.

Yes, dumped as soon I was sure there would be no new surprise with Bitcoin forks and confirmations disappearing.

Sadly wasn't quick enough to get anywhere near the top of almost 0.5 BTC

I also not yet dumped its, but I not regrets and I don't care with BitcoinCash what will happen in the future about BitcoinCash. If there is still the possibility of BitcoinCash rise again means I'm lucky but if BitcoinCash will die, it's a no big problem for me because I also just get it for free.

the problem that i have faced with bitcoin cash is that it is not easy to dump it otherwise i would have dumped it so fast and probably price would have dropped so much harder.
because of it, i could only sell a portion of my total bitcoin balance that was mostly held on exchanges for trading during the fork. and i have already dumped what i have received.

but now that price has dropped hard and is falling more, i think i won't bother with the dumping of the rest. i am trying to find a safe way to at least access it and maybe send it all to one address then have it ready for dumping if i saw a good price worthy of dumping.

During the hard fork,i already kept it safely in my electrum wallet.I didn't bother about getting free BCC.I was just worried about the hard fork and about the price of bitcoin.I'm almost happy that bitcoin price has not crashed and its performing very well.No need of such piss BCC coin.

Dumped it personally, more out of principal rather than thinking that I might not make more money in the future. It will probably pump again around November when core doesnt honor the 2x part of the agreement.

I do not believe the Core developers were part of the Segwit2x agreement. They were against it from the very beginning if I got my facts right. But Barry Silbert went ahead and talked to the top Bitcoin services and the miners into agreement. Core was not formally represented in the talks.

The main reason behind the dump was, many people sold the free BCC coin to get some free bitcoins.
It was the major reason behind the dump and at that time, it was difficult to trust on that coin and purchase it, so the selling rate was more on exchanges. Many people have already sold their BCC.
BCC have no secure future and those who have sold bitcoin cash for buying bitcoins have taken the wisest decision. I don’t find any significant reason in holding bitcoin cash over bitcoins. Yep! That was the major reason behind the dumping of this coin because majority gave up on them for bitcoins.
