One thing dey always make happy be say as our people dey explore this forum e dey give me joy onto say we dey try to dey expand our knowledge digitally because we don too put our eyes for traditional money system for long so anytime I see new person come here e dey sweet my belle well well. But anyhow e be I go say welcome and again, Nothing dey heard for this place because when you bring your mind read things wey them drop here you go understand am well than say you begin dey dance this forum dey ask question wey you no supposed ask, normally any question wey you feel say you wan asked here people don already asked am so wetin you need to do is just create out time study them or even to scroll down for some thread/topics to dey read wetin people don already talk.

Wetin dey make most of our people no dey get patient be say, them wan just fly to top without them knowing anything before you go climb up you go first start under so no need to start from up wey you never know things wey dey under for you. So, like this bring your mind make you belle full yourself with the information wey we brothers them don already share for the first page i for share but no need because dem don already do am. Abeg upon no copy any information from another websites without putting the reference like because this one dey mostly lead to account banning since you no wan get banned here so quickly.

However I still have a pending question for now
I was told for me to rank up I need to have merits, so how am I going to get these merits rapidly, like within a month?
My brother to get merit for here no dey easy again, but I we advice you say make you dey try dey make corlity post so that from there you we be getting it small small..
What you just said now is out of point. If the OP wants to get merits between a short period of time or, as he just stated, "within a month", then I expected you to tell him or her to make a constructive post,,, that's all.
However, you, too, are a newcomer here, but I believe, as time flies, you will know that to get merits is just an easy task, I am not talking based on my rank but I can tell you that while I was growing on the forum I didn't find it difficult to get merits if I want to.

First of all, you are welcome to bitcoin talk. I was impressed to see the action of knowledge that you first of all identify your local community, or, I will say, who ever introduces you to this forum, try a lot for you because here you are allowed to even write in pidgin, so feel free to ask any questions and you will have to give the right answer or a referral to where you can obtain effective information.

From all indications, you have already been provided with the needle and effective links so far to know more about bitcoin and how it works. I will encourage you to have patience and read them for the sake of knowledge, and you will see the results of your stay here in the forum.

However I still have a pending question for now
I was told for me to rank up I need to have merits, so how am I going to get these merits rapidly, like within a month?

So sad to say, but ranking up is not something that is easy, as you just said, but is a long-term activity. You can't get merit so rapidly and think about ranking up because, with merit, even if activity is not there, you cannot still rank up the account. What I will say to you is to learn for now not to focus on getting merit; if not, you will end up omitting the forum rules like plagiarism and many more, and your account will be tagged or even banned from the forum. But I will share the rules of the forum for you and also things you need to know about merit and other things for your stay in this forum.

You can click the follow

Op you're welcome, I no know the amount of knowledge wey you don get about this forum but make I tell you the truth, to get merit for this place no dey easy at all, especially when you be newbies wey never get too much idea on bitcoin and the entire crypto world. But with time you go come dey create very useful and good quality post dem, but before you reach there, just as one of us been don advice you, make you do more of learning than teaching because na wattin dey kill many of our newbies zeal. Dem dey like to educate people wey know pass dem wattin dem don hear like hundred times, and when you do this kind of thing dem go fit even bully you or talk something wey fit make you give up for this forum, so stick to reading, study and learning, then you fit start to ask questions for part wey you no understand, then from there you fit dey also reply people thread. And before you'll know it you don start to dey earn merits.

If you say you wan pursue merit with some kind posts, you fit dey disappointed at the end of the day, so when e reach time to create quality post, just post out of say you wan make good contribution then merit go follow you.

Op you don do well to come join us for this great forum, you are very much weliicom to the forum, already many of our boss dem don drop some materials wey you go use take study, but wattin I get for you na advise. As the forum be so, e dey value em rules dem well well oo, defaulters of this forum rules dem dey collect ban wattin no good, so as you don come so, make one of the first things wey you go do for forum be say na, the rules dem you go read, because if you fall law dem no dey look person face oo. You wey just come new naim dem go put eye pass, so that make e no be say na spam you come here come spam or you come to post dangerous links here, after you don learn the rules dem finish, then make you start to do search on Bitcoin network, wallets, mining and other things wey concern crypto. If possible e go dey very good for you to check out all those useful links wey dem don send give you, though some of them dey very broad, but if you fit finish am, na to your own benefit.

It's not bad if you start by reading some Bitcoin article like that of Jameson Lopp Bitcoin Resources.
By the way, welcome to the forum, you are in the right community to learn about Bitcoin, but you're just going to be a lil' dedicated to learning first, rather than teaching, 'not saying you can't discuss on a new thread anything you want to talk about, but be more focused on learning first and taking note of what you have learn and when you will start to teach and correct others, you will not even know but you will just realize it when you start passing on the knowledge you have acquire to people who are not very knowledge about Bitcoin like you will tourn out to be.

And another we I wan talk be say your real Name Grace was not needed here because here we dey operate anonymous. Personal identity is not showcase and dis are some di things wey dem for tell you becoming to di forum. And another wey you go do be say, make you dey read another pple post so from there you go dey improve.

There is no big deal here in the forum if you really want to learn unless you want am. Anything dat disturb you and u want to know just go to www.google.com and search for the particular word, phrase or others and the meaning go appear in sharp then you read am and know the concept and move forward.

But e no dey possible to plagiarize my own content since na me be that original author. This thread and that thread na just dey talk the same thing, so instead of to come dey type everything from beginning, I had to just copy the reply and paste am here, because I feel say na good starter pack for newbies. And I come do minor adjustments too and other stuffs. But thanks for your concern and advice too OP. You're well appreciated.

I understand say nah almost the same thing the op of both threads they ask and as you see say nah the same thing you wan write you for just quote am put for here instead of writing it out.

I know say dem nor go ban you based on say nah you get both write up and you nor steal am from another person, but dat one nor mean say dem nor go fit tag you. I don see am before were dem tag person sake of say him Dey repeat wetin he don fess talk before for different threads… To just avoid am just use the quote option but if you believe say typing go better for you, you fit still go ahead.

Okay OP, I appreciate your concern once again, I go fully take note of am, and next time I go just quote am instead of to write am down. Like I talk before, na everyday person dey learn, I don learn new thing today too and I go dey apply am for subsequent encounters in the future to avoid any form of wahala and gbas gbos

I observe say you make one post[1] for beginners and help board and wetin you write there and here nah exactly the same thing. Based on say nah you get both post nobody go disturb you but assuming nah another person you do like that you for receive ban oo, so incase your reply go be the same thing just quote your post instead of typing everything again, that way you go avoid any accusation of plagiarism or forum drama.

Back to the Op, all I can say at this point is “welcome to the forum” since you’ve already been given links that’s more than enough to get you started.

Greetings to you all, merry Christmas in advance.

My name is grace and I'm just new to the whole bitcoin stuff, though I have heard about bitcoin that its another form of money digitally, but I don't have an extensive knowledge on what it can do.
However, I am asking for directives from forum member so I can increase my knowledge on bitcoin. So please help me out with materials, be it books, video, links or any other source that contains info about bitcoin.

Thanks in advance.

First of, you're highly welcome to the forum, as a new bitcoiner, joining this forum is a good start to aid you in your Bitcoin journey and adventure. Although this forum is more of a decentralized forum as your personal informations should stay with you, such as your real name and so on, so be guided.

Secondly, as a new bitcoiner, I might have some important tips that'd also be of help to you, I'll quote myself in a comment I made on a similar Thread in the Beginners And Help Board

You can also Click here to get all the tips and guides you need as a beginner and a newbie on the forum and as a Bitcoiner.

1. LEARN ABOUT BITCOIN
you need to learn as much as you can about Bitcoin, you'll not be told everything here so you can't rely on one source to learn about Bitcoin, read books, watch videos, look for helpful articles and PDFs that'll give you more insight about Bitcoin.

2. START LITTLE
If you ever feel that with the knowledge you've gathered, you're ready to start investing in Bitcoin, as a newbie I'll advice to start with little amount until you've really understood the market then you can put in more money.

3. KNOW THE NATURE OF BITCOIN
You need to be familiar with the fact that Bitcoin is a very volatile asset so before you start investing you need to be ready for the ups and the downs. Sometimes you'll experience a DIP, in times like that you should remember that there has been times in the past that Bitcoin has experienced even greater DIPS to help you overcome the fear and anxieties of a DIP and to also help you make the right decisions of never selling during a DIP, and also when you experience a Bullish Trend in Bitcoin, you shouldn't always expect the market to always be like that, else you might end up being disappointed.

4. STORE YOUR BITCOIN SAFELY
I'll also advise that you look for a very safe wallet to store your Bitcoin, such as a Hardware Wallet. ( Highly recommend). Because that's the primary thing, if you're jeopardize the safety of your Bitcoin then you jeopardize everything as well, including the safety of your investment.

5. WATCH OUT FOR SCAMMERS
Scammers are working tooth and nail everyday, coming up with new strategies and innovative technologies just to swindle people's hard earned money so you need to equip yourself with enough knowledge regarding how to avoid being scammed because if you're not careful you can loose your funds to a scammer in a twinkle of an eye.

6. LEARN HOW TO DCA
DCA simply means Dolar-Cost Average. As a Newbie, you might feel Bitcoin is very expensive now and hard to invest in, if you're thinking that then DCA method is for you, with DCA you can store up enough Bitcoin without breaking a sweat. It's process where you simply a bit of your income, be it on daily, weekly or monthly basis, you can choose a percentage of your earnings and use it to buy Bitcoin, just like putting money in a piggybank and before you realize it, you must've saved up enough Bitcoin for yourself, rather than waiting to have the money in bulk before you can invest.

And it's never too late to invest in Bitcoin, everytime is the right time, so if you have plans to invest, don't let anything stop you from joining the moving train.
There goes, I hope these tips would be of help to you.
