tried to post this in the appropriate thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/noblecoinnobl-8-pos-1yr-marketplace-pay-gift-charitiesmerchants-402667, but since I'm new I can't:

compiling noblecoin-src on lubuntu 13.10 gives me
fatal error: miniwget.h not found
miniupnpc is installed

I was able to compile the daemon with the "USE_UPNP=" option, however, subsequently trying qmake and make gives me the same error
any help appreciated

EDIT: with qmake option "USE_UPNP=-" it works, but still doesn't compile until  you change $(SUBLIBS) of the makefile to the correct linux libs (it assumes mingw)
Got it working now.
Can a client without UPNP support lead to problems?

A new coin worth watching is AlphaOmegaCoin

Interesting coin with the largest expected production of 999 billion coins but with smaller block reward of 35,000.

It already has...

a website and wallet:  http://www.alphaomegacoin.com
a forum: http://www.alphaomegacoin.org/
and a pool: http://aoc.livechains.net/

and best of all, there has been very little premining!  (only about 2100 blocks premined for promotions and such)

Can't say that for a lot of these new altcoins...

What does the community think?

which nyan coin is better to mine , the one with 1% premine ore the one with 10%

None of them, try CoinieWest (launch today), or mine DogeCoins - they are great.
I think it`s not today , on cryptotalk it says Jan 11, 2014 @ 11 PM EST , did they moved the launch date ?
Yes they did.

Has anyone used coingen.io to create a coin? If so, did you get your client?
Yes... compiled for both Linux and Windows, both *coind and *coin-qt version.

I used the include source feature. The whole thing costed 0.06 to me.

New to the crypto market! Really got attracted by EAC (Earthcoin). Hope its not just a pump and dump ! Any thoughts?

Pretty sure it's not a pump and dump. It might have that happen to it like most of the coins at some point. Note that it's not on cryptsy yet, even though other coins with far less potential have been added. I think someone's letting the coin mature a little bit. Also, in the thread the dev's have made some excellent points about how they don't planning on dumping their premine.

I would like to see a public ledger showing us what they're doing with it though.

Can anyone explain to me how the value of a new currencie is determend, like there is one million coins and the market cap is 200.000$ , I do not think that the devs back up the value with real money

The market decides with supply/demand. If it is "a sellers market" the price rises, and vice verca.

please remember when you guys start mining, to also actively buy/sell on exchange sites so that prices rise.

all too often i see people just dumping without thinking of the consequences of what they're doing.

I have been observing closely and finding out about Megacoin recently. I think it’s a fascinating coin with great potential over other coins. Who agrees with me?
