Hello guys,

I'm new here and I want to hear your opinion about Dimecoin. What do you think about its future? There were some big giveaways recently. Is it smart to invest some money on it ?

Thanks

PS: How to post in treads with giveaways when I'm restricted (Newbie)?

Has anyone used coingen.io to create a coin? If so, did you get your client?

Greetings to you all!

I am new here, and I actively research about bitcoins everyday. My question here is to ask your opinion on a new altcoin that I just want to create.

The idea came when I saw coingen.io. Of course, the best way is to actually fork the code, if I want to give future support. I live in a country (still not confident to disclose) where the access to foreign currencies is blocked or strongly limited (therefore, acquiring bitcoins and/or miners is pretty hard, I've seen people selling miners around here, but really overpriced and with the difficulty these days, not worth to bother). It isn't like you can swipe your Visa or MasterCard online and it will work, it just won't, the currency blockade is in place there too. Those who have bitcoins here it's mostly because they mined those when CPU mining was possible, and GPU to the extent they could.

However, I've seen that many people wants to jump into the bitcoin bandwagon whatever-way they can. Now, what's the point of creating online businesses that accept bitcoins if hardly people will pay with it? After all, it's really hard to buy bitcoins, again, it's not possible to transfer money outside the country (as a normal citizen) in order to buy bitcoins from an exchange. So, to the point...

My altcoin. What do you guys think? I'd keep the same bitcoin parameters (only change the 3-letters code). It's only for giving a chance to develop this market here. I thought of it strategically because:
  • Since it's not possible to get bitcoins at all, unless you already are a foreigner and you weren't born here... you can buy the altcoin with the local currency.
  • Allows for people to have their own accesible commodity, to invest and to do whatever they please.

What do you guys think? In this extreme economy... extreme measures are to be taken. Smiley

First post here. I have been mining coins now for around 2 months. Got 2 rigs with 4 cards each mining at 5.1Mh/s script coins. Was using Hascows until they were hacked and then switched to multipool. Hoping to get back onto cows once they have sorted the issue out.
Also had a punt at solo mining giftcoins (got around 300 coins) and today a quick stab at UFO coins (just for a laugh really).
I have been wondering why I couldn't post until I re-read the registration form. Ooops.
Anyway, hi all.

I see 3 to 5 alt coins not completely crashing and burning in the future.  People just create them to get rich with the craze, not to actually do something.

I can only see potential in only a few. Two at the most. Most are just rich quick schemes for the owners like previously stated.

just go for Quarkcoin after 1-2 years its will be rocket Cheesy
Price is the lowest I've seen it for a while, might be worth a punt.

0.00009 at the moment, but they were around the 0.00014 mark for quite a while.

don't mine with a laptop...

Mine with 3 AMD GPU's .... setup a decent rig for it.   Mine for Ron Paul.... scratch that.... Doge or something easy

Lots of information on setting up mining rigs.  I wouldn't worry about the electricity, as you are essentially more concerned with the coin value and even converting ur mined coined into a "better" more stable coin ...

There are way to many alt coins. There's hundreds of them... I keep jumping between them to see which is most profitable.
