Follow market ask some friend go for maybe LTC, PPC, FTC, NMC, NVC or try some that may be the future like maybe IFC, COL, GDC, WDC .....
I like the idea of having alt coins is great, just there are too many alt coins. Alt coins are growing in number, making it harder for us newbs to choose which coins are good and which are bad.
today all alt coin going up and down some even for 400% and more tomorrow will see the try value of all alt coin

Zetacoin is rocketing on cryptsy today... Anyone know why?? It has been following btc rise for a while but one day last week it jumped, but that rise is dwarfed by todays

I think there is a great coin incoming to the markets - Collosus Coin COL. It have been for more than a month on Cryptsy , and now following the BTC rise it can skyrocket soon . What do you ppl think about it?
I think that i haven't heard COL before but if history taught us anything so far is that everything is possible in the crypto coin world

The altcoins that are pointless are which not listed in any major exchanges and just having price major variations everyday (pump and dump.) Other than those all are perfect to use .

I doubled my investment in FTC already. But I don't know how long it'll last. Not investing a significant amount for a long term.
I've also done well with FTC.
I've been backing/buying it from 12 cents. I reckon it's only gonna go upwards from here. Bittylicious are trading it sometime next month.
Actually I am mining with my 1 year old laptop, but I am doing so at my own risk. So you probably don't want to do the same thing.

I would say PPC and Megacoin.
Can't believe Megacoin hitting $3 USD in China today, used to be able to mine 10k of those a day a few months ago. If I were to guess, keep an eye out for DTC.
I'm leaning towards the newly reborn Stablecoin for the future, great design and intended to assist in maintaining anonymity.
Problem I'm having right now is maintaining a stable connection to the coin-base SBC pool.
I like Primecoin as well and am mining both of them and litecoin, but I am also looking closely at Mega and PPC.

Do not mine with a laptop! Those machines are not designed for continuous stress load. Invest in a desktop system -- in a case enclosure or open stand, with quality cooling and power supply.

I can't agree with that. I am currently mining Litecoin. Bitcoin has become too demanding for ordinary people to mine and the price of Litecoin has surged over the last months. I don't want to by ASIC or FGPU, and mining with GPU card is too slow for me to get into the pay queue. I think Litecoin would be a better choice for me.
