Well if may advice you on when to invest is not pretty cool and because I m not the one who is raising the fund for you. I think you might have came across lot of Information about crypto currency but what I sense here is for you to know the right coin to invest instead. To start with, bitcoin is more preferable to invest and hold since all other cryptocurrency are being driven by bitcoin.

I'm really curious about what you all think about cryptocurrency. I've been wanting to start investing in it for a while now, but I feel like I don't know enough about it to make good decisions. Do you have any advice?
Curiosity kills the cat  Undecided ! It's good you're curious about but you're rather curious in the wrong direction, you should rather be curious about cryptocurrency how it operates and it's modalities by doing your own thorough research about it to get to know the areas you  lacking in knowledge instead of looking forward to what other person's think about cryptocurrency. The next man thought might not fight into your own model compared to when you do your own research, seeing the difference and integrating it .
It's better you wait no more cause the more you wait the more time you waste in grabbing the opportunities. As long as you have the money go ahead and invest and make sure to have an investment plan either for a long term or short plan. Am sure you will do well!

Did this account change hands or did you suddenly have amnesia?
I think you've started since last year and have reached a good stage of investment experience.
In my business there are many clients who prefer to use cryptocurrency for payment. And I can make dozens of transactions in one day...

You're also quite good at commenting and citing various sources  Tongue
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/luckypenguin-3363558

I saw your comment and I had to view through the profile of OP and I also got scared that this very thread might also someday be moved to off topic because almost all your topics and writings are sites in off topic and that isn't a nice move.
I think you should do more of reading than writing because most of the questions you ask are already answered and it will be more better you do alot of reading than writing possibly for now.
As a crypto beginner, I will advise you to take more time to study about cryptocurrency especially about the stable coin, ad I also believe you must have heard the name Bitcoin countless times over other coins, this is because it is the most preferred coin and you should also focus more on knowing about it before thinking of making an investment on it.

This time is a digital time for someone to understand what a cryptocurrency is all about without asking in a big kingdom of bitcointalk community, because it's very possible and understanding that cryptocurrency can be easily known it genesis from internet, people understand and now become more better in cryptocurrency because of they devote out time to search or make inquiring concerning Bitcoin.
It is not out of place that someone came into this ommunity to ask about cryptocurrency. If you said that he should research the internet to get answers about cryptocurrency, I can also say that there is internet and he is researching here.
I have always learnt about Bitcoin in this forum more than on google. If you google a question and the answer comes and you don't understand it , you will have no option than to keep googling but in this forum when you ask a question there are many answers even when you don't understand the answers the person that answered it will return and explain more to you

The main questions for you:
1. Are you ready for crypto investment? Including the risks not only the profit expectation?
2. have you learned about the cryptocurrency world and industries? Here, ensure that you really understand what you are going to invest. Never do blind investments that will make you regret it someday and then hate this turn.
3. Ensure that you are using free money that you can afford to lose. once your assets are decreasing or losing, you do not mind of them. So, this will not disturb your life and finances.

I only want to recommend you invest only in Bitcoin, for you are new to this and you need to invest in something that is more sure enough. Never trust anyone who promise you big profits from investing the altcoins, read: shit coins.

Good one. I was so sure I had read something of that nature where the said user encouraged others to make use of cryptos for payment, and now they suddenly turn to ask what cryptocurrency is, like they lost their mojo? That's ludicrous, to say the least. Either what you suspected of accounts changing hands happened or the user is merely seeking idle conversation.

It is difficult to answer this question without knowing exactly what you are looking for, but in general, as with other financial choices, the best advice is to do some thorough research before deciding on how to invest your money. Make sure you really understand what cryptocurrency is before you invest, and be cautious.

For me, the most important thing is to believe in cryptocurrency as a technology. I have looked into it, and it is pretty awesome, but from the perspective of someone who is not technically minded. It definitely has its unintuitive quirks but that is because it's new and does not fit the systems we have used so far. The best thing for me is that it is not created by any big company, although some have jumped on board! So, I think that blockchain and cryptocurrencies will play an increasing role in how we live in the coming years.

One of the most exciting things about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is that it's constantly evolving—new directions are emerging all the time. It can be hard to keep up with all of the new developments. I've found that reading a variety of sources and comparing them helps me get a more complete picture of what's going on in the industry.

For a beginner like OP, Bitcoin should be the start point. Reading varieties of sources will crowd the minds with too much information that might lead to confusion and complexity. A good investor start from simple and reliable investment like Bitcoin and grow from there. Investing in Bitcoin isn't 100% risk free but it has more advantage than other cryptocurrencies, for now the most reliable.

Comparison is best done when there is a good  knowledge of one coin and a good start should be Bitcoin for the sake of limited risk. Reading variety of sources when no initial idea or experience is gathered will give the investor multiple choice to chose and most of the times the chance of going for shit coin is  higher.

My advice might not be among the best and it might also not be acceptable by you and majority of the people in this forum but I will still have to give the advice in case you may consider it.
If you feel that you do not understand much about bitcoin and cryptocurrency I will advise you to keep your money intended for investment and first learn about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, it will not take forever.
A good attention given to It for 1 to 2 weeks will give you what you need to start. Only when you have good knowledge of the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large you can invest. There will always be an investment opportunity in the market

Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that performs a p2p transaction. Many people nowadays think that cryptocurrency is more on investment and money making. I have been seeing many posts in social media platforms about crypto farming and unfortunately, most of the newbies are the victim. Because we thought that crypto is just an investment. So, I think it is good to learn first in cryptocurrency before earning.

The crypto market is currently down, so now is the time to invest; if you want a trusted and reputable coin to invest in cryptocurrency, do your own research before investing in any coin, but buy Bitcoin as a start because the price is very low now.
Avoid storing your Bitcoin in centralized exchanges because they will have control over your coin; instead, keep it in a personal wallet where you will have access to your private key.

Now may be the best time to invest, so if you have spare money, start investing in bitcoin after you have learned the basics of using wallets, securing your money, trading, buying bitcoin, and storing seeds securely.

Most cryptocurrencies are similar. After you learn about Bitcoin, you know 60% of cryptocurrencies. Wait and start with small amounts,  buy Ethereum. With experiments, you will learn how to benefit from price fluctuations and always withdrawal yuor profits in BTC.

Always put an appropriate amount of cash, and plan if the price collapses at any moment so that the minimum price drop will be a gain for you.

Here's the lesson we've got this year - do not keep your funds on exchanges. Opt for a self-custodial wallet to hold your public and private keys. When I started diving into the topic, found a superb guide on the topic: https://oneart.digital/en/blog/crypto-wallets-for-beginners

Cryptocurrency is a digital asset that helps in a lot of ways on different industries. Mostly considered it as an alternative approach to financial transactions over every sector which has been proven useful to some. But its not perfect there are also some cons on using it which you should learn first before trying out to put some money on it.

There are very few cryptocurrency out there that one can invest with and feel safe. The top and only advisable one on that list is Bitcoin.
Before that, it would be of advantage for you to first of all, understand that bitcoin is just money and your entitled to its safety. You've got to understand the concepts behind wallets, private keys, seed phrases and exchanges.
Know that, you don't expect any form of a roling investment plan that requires you to invite people to earn more (that would be ponzi and bitcoin is no ponzi). You either get to trade or perhaps, you buy and hold which would be the most for those without experience. Just ensure your ready to hodl on a long term.

You can bank on the knowledge and experience of a friend and take this opportunity now the price of bitcoin is low to invest, but you will also have to dedicate yourself to learning as much as you can as quickly as you can. I say you should invest and learn along the way because waiting to know enough first can make you miss the opportunity to invest now the prices are low. You can also lose interest if you are waiting to learn everything first, invest now, so you will be dedicated to learning more about where you have put your money.
