Excellent job! Smiley And if you can keep us informed on these points:

1. State of all the blockchain (If no there are more hidden surprises than the first block).
2. The actual amount and exact AC coins in circulation.
3. The actual amount and exact the hidden preminer sold and unsold.
4. A list of all AC addresses that will be blocked belonging to the scammer and his potential allies.
5. Quantity of coins that may be lost held by the public (of the good people)...

one possible option to reward paying supporters is as follows. If the new devs can generate a block with a set amount of coins, then distribute those coins to people who pay the bounty. Sort of like an IPO. This would entice people to pay for the bounty in order to receive AC at a discount as a thank you for their support. If the bounty is 8 BTC for example then the devs could generate a block with 8 million coins and offer the coins to bounty payers at 1000000 AC per BTC.

Or else most people here are just going to sit around and wait while others pay up for the bounty. Those that pay for the bounty in BTC should receive AC as a reward.

Thoughts?

What about people that already have AC

My native language is spanish, so count with me for translating anything english-spanish.

Best luck, and I'm looking forward to find other ways of contributing.

I can only offer satoshis for dev bounty.

The facts are:

 - the scumbag scammer only dumped 30 million coins which is "good" news. The damage is minimal at this point.
 - Cryptsy has already agreed to resume trading once the patch is released and we eliminate the rest of the premine.
 - We have strong developers willing to commit time and skillsets to issue a patch and maintain the integrity of the blockchain. This is one investment the community should definitely make. Lets get the bounty going ASAP.
 - Asiacoin has a huge community. United we are strong.
 - A minor setback equals a major comeback, I mean look at Tiger Woods. Gets caught cheating on Elin Nordegren and is now balls deep inside Lindsey Vonn.

I had faith in this coin until it was compared to Tiger Woods. L8

Will I be able to send the coins directly to the New Wallet? I read earlier something about swapping them but wanted to verify what the plan of action was.

If all goes as planned, under the current plan.. then all you need to do is download the new wallet, and your done.. everything will be accessible as it was before.

Thanks, money is never enough for anyone.

Definitely have to keep this in check if the team were to revive this coin.

Someone on the team is working on a detector so we can always track if the premine has moved and be alerted it if does, ahead of this fork.

i didn't mine any of  AC but i bought all my coins and i have around 600k AC will i lose any of my coins if they were from the premined?

or the new code will only kill the premined coins in the dev's wallet?

No you won't lose them, and yes, it will only kill the premined coins in the dev's wallet.

What if the dev saw this thread and started distributing the premined coins to different wallet?Huh

It would be kind of a pain.. so original scammer dev if you are reading this: just .. don't.  At least let what you created have a chance of survive.. you got your coins.. just leave it alone Smiley

In that case there's some options:
  1) Keep ahead of him and just keep banning the latest wallet addresses in the hardcode.
  2) Pick a block to hard fork at (this would unfortunately require everyone to redownload blockchain), where he didn't move the premine to something other than the "banned" block addresses.  This would also invalidate any transactions beyond that block.
  3) Write a more sophisticated patch that looks a Input history.. and after some block N, reject any transaction that had a parent transaction that was the premine scammer's wallet address.  But if exchanges open prior to N, this gives the scammer a chance to unload even more of the premine to unsuspecting people.. and those people that received the inputs.. would forever have their coins lost.

You can always workaround this stuff in code.. nothing impossible.. just how much effort it takes.  Hopefully the original dev has some shred of decency left and just leave his creation alone so that it may have some life left in it.

I have hosting so we could put up a website for this but we need a domain name.. Any suggestions? I am not very good at designing, but I am sure we could come together as a community and customize a cloned version of a legit cryptocoin site like blackcoin. I think that would be quite fitting to say the least seeing that we are essentially cloning this coin to fix it.

Anyone who wants to get together with me about this website and the hosting, lets brainstorm as a community. PM ME I am serious about this and I know I can have a site up by tomorrow if we agree on what we want the site to look like and have the basic source code for a template to customize. If we have a site, I can upload that in less than 45 minutes, just need some help from you guys so pm me with designs and shizzit

I've invested quite a lot into AC previously and I'm really glad that the community has stepped up to protect the legitimacy and continuation of this coin.

I'm a decent WordPress site developer and I also own the full Genesis Framework license and so to make things easy we could simply use one of the 50+ StudioPress themes they have to offer for the site. This only requires a simple WordPress login on the frontend and uploading the zip files onto the themes upload platform. You may check out all their themes at http://www.studiopress.com/. Just PM me if you need the framework installed.

Domain-wise, I've taken a short screening over at GoDaddy and basically here are some suggestions (as most of the other .com are taken),

1. theasiacoin.net
2. theasiacoin.org
3. asiacoin.co
4. asia-coin.net
5. asia-coin.org

Option 3 is not too bad a choice or we can go with the more traditional option 4 or 5.

The setting up and site designs can literally be done in a few hours. What we need however is the content of what to put onto the site. Would appreciate further input on that.
