Is it possible in future students to pay tuition with cryptocurrency like btc or another. As we all know that only stable money can run a country, moreover btc price is unstable so you can't do that even if you want to.
I have yet to hear any announcements from schools and colleges accepting bitcoins for tuition. But accepting Bitcoin is possible only if the teacher or student has good knowledge about Bitcoin. Moreover, currently the government has not yet taken any step that they will accept payment by Bitcoin in schools and colleges, so no such place has accepted Bitcoin. But you can buy goods with Bitcoin from many places that accept Bitcoin payments and in some countries most things can be bought with Bitcoin. Although many countries' governments have accepted bitcoins such that all other goods and food are purchased in bitcoin transactions. But it will have to wait until the government gives such permission to schools and colleges to accept bitcoin payments for tuition. But it will be possible in the future, I believe because many economic situations have changed with Bitcoin and such payments will soon be provided by the governments of various countries.

Already there were institutions and universities that accept tuition fee in the form of bitcoin. Maybe after years we'll be able to see it in a more common way as an additional payment choice for every students. Acceptance of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies were really a great thing considering the future growth. Everything have turned digital and everywhere the dependence on digitization will make bitcoin a more accessible payment with time.

It can only be possible if the country have legalized bitcoin but a process whereby bitcoin is not been legalized in that country it will not be possible to make payment with bitcoin, except that school is a private sector or private school that is been run by a lover of bitcoin, but a process whereby the school is a government school your objectives can not come to accomplish because its obvious that government always been against the development and technology of bitcoin

Bitcoin is a currency that can be accepted for payments of goods and services. Which currency is stable? Some currencies are more unstable than Bitcoin. There are already universities/ colleges that accept Bitcoin as tuition fees. Examples are

University of Nicosia, Cyprus

European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) Berlin, Germany

The Kings College, New York, USA

The University of Cumbria, UK

The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland

FPT University, Vietnam

Varna University of Management, Bulgaria

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Business School (IEBS), Spain

I would have been surprised if I didn't see an American or British university which doesn't accept BTC/crypto payments.
BTC is money and it is gaining customers everyday. Those who get to learn about cryptocurrency by investing in altcoins, still refer BTC when they want to accumulate cryptocurrency for future use.

The regulation that is facing most countries before they use crypto currency for payments is the only nod needed by institutional bodies before they start accepting BTC for tuition payments from college students. It would be a while before more institutions set up their payment portals to accept crypto currency for payments of tuitions. It's quite plausible in the nearest future, but it may be until the lawsuits and SEC regulators conclude on their percentage from transaction cost and network fees.

What's the rationale for the future preference? You have the option to start accepting Bitcoin immediately, given that both parties are well-informed and in agreement. Despite Bitcoin's volatility, you can always calculate its present value when receiving it in USD or fiat, making it feasible to incorporate Bitcoin for tuition fees. This could be advantageous for you or the recipients if they choose to hold onto it.

Knowing that El Salvador legalised Bitcoin as a payment method in their country, I wouldn't be surprised if College Universities in their country accept BTC as a payment method for their tuition fees.

EDIT:
I made a quick search on Google and found this article, it looks like a lot of College Schools in their country are accepting BTC as a payment method.

Yes, very possible.

They can simply use a third party service if they want to convert it quickly into fiat. So for those schools, it's just going to be another payment method but then, they have to use a service as I've said.

IIRC, there were schools already that have accepted payment methods into BTC or those were just online courses.

Haha, What a weird but great idea Well its possible not on the academic level but in my view for those like our country Home tutors and private academic tutors can offer such payment facilities I have a few friends of mine in this circle who are familiar with the crypto market and they offer home tuition service as well, I think I can discuss it with them.. It's a really good idea to have continuous accumulation and a side investment opportunity where they can save and invest at the same time.

For the reason that Op you've mentioned on the Stable money I think the solution is hidden inside the query, BTC is the devisable currency, and using the satoshi unit we can fix the services prices, which can have no impact on the market price. It can have some consequences but I think on some levels we can do it.

BTC can be converted into fiat using P2P exchange on both CEX and DEX with minimal fees that will not reduce your crypto value when converted to fiat. Maybe in the future yes but the current route of BTC to Fiat is now very easy that makes the need for direct payment in BTC is not a must.

Also, College/student tuition fees usually comes from the parents and in form of fiat. It’s very for someone to receive tuition fee in BTC.

Bitcoin price volatility is the main reason why there is a resistance in its global adoption as payment method. There are still very few countries where Decentralized Bitcoin is allowed. Adoption of Bitcoin as payment method is not possible because of its  price volatility  but legal compliance, settlement time and fee are few other limitations that are not allowing bitcoin to make it to global adoption.

I have seen above the list of Universities that accept bitcoin and they are implementing it, as far as I know it is only now knowing it, this is still very limited if you expect Universities in certain areas may still not be much except in some Europe that already exist (and said a lot).

But it does sound wonderful. I would probably pay altcoins for my kid's tuition if they are accepting altcoins.
Altcoin? I don't think it's revelant unless bitcoin is the only coin in crypto, which I know altcoins can't be guaranteed maybe they can collapse but for bitcoin I don't think it's possible.
I don't think altcoins will be implemented more in some large institutions.

Let's look at the charts of the Argentine peso or the Venezuelan bolivar and compare them with the Bitcoin chart. Perhaps you are right, and only stable money can fully fill the country's financial system. You mean bitcoin in this case, right? Smiley

We cannot say it is not possible because the future looks very good for bitcoins, and right now the limiting factor against it is that it has not been generally accepted. When bitcoins become accepted generally, a lot of individuals and institutions will accept it as means of payment. Colleges and other educational institutions will not be left out, they will set up themselves to be able to accept bitcoins for tuition and other things in the college that requires payment(fee).

Bitcoin would likely be first accepted. Why altcoins? The last purchase I made online was surprisingly through bitcoin lightning network. I do not see any reason altcoins are needed.

Before this happens, they will need to wait till the government approves the use of crypto because right now, crypto doesn't contribute to the fiat economy.
Crypto contributes to the economy. There are some factors to consider as this will differ from country to country. Some countries tax cryptocurrencies. The exchanges and other centralized crypto businesses are located in some countries which government tax as well and the exchanges are employing people. There are many other reasons cryptocurrencies can add to a country's economy.

The school shouldn't risk yet confiscation is highly likely when the government declares they don't like crypto.

That is the work of a payment processor. If bitcoin price is not stable, you can use payment processor which can automatically convert the bitcoin to fiat for you. If bitcoin is legal in a country and the country's government support bitcoin payment, it will be an additional option for tuition fee payment.

List of Universities That Allow You to Pay Your Tuition Fees With Bitcoin

How about El Salvador and Democratic republic of Congo that make bitcoin legal tenders. You will be able to use bitcoin to pay for anything in those countries.
