Honestly speaking I now feel myself a fool, ashamed and clueless.
It was a honest mistake, which lead to a lot of avoidable drama. Mistakes are normal and the lessons invaluable, glad to have you back on the forum.
Hope any other platform which was compromised has been recovered?

I hope he or she learned something from this
Of course I did! But I never thought I would have to pay the price for it. I missed a lot in these last few weeks.

Update
I have created a flag and hopefully I will get some support although it seems useless. It could be better if I could create 2nd or 3rd type flag.

Sadly I doubt this is something the police would even look into, especially just over a bitcointalk account and email address. I know they likely wouldn't here in the UK, especially if there was no financial loss.
I don't think law enforcement in any country would consider investigating a hack on a discussion forum account, and even if there was some financial loss it's questionable as to whether they'd consider it worth their time.  It definitely sucks what happened to bitcoingirl.club, but any justice is going to have to be gotten from within the forum if that's even possible.  Figuring out who Side chain really is would be a great start.  Sadly, that makes me think of Bruno, who was pretty good as a forum detective.

It would certainly be a twist and a half but it is highly unlikely they are the same person.
Uh, yeah.....that would spike popcorn sales amongst forumites for a good while, but I'm voting that they're not the same person.

Hopefully some people will stop believing what someone says without providing evidence solely because it is what they want to be true.
I don't think it's possible to prove a hack. Anything can be faked.
Anything can be faked, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be evidence either way.

I would also point out that it was not necessary for the hacker to change bitcoingirl.club’s password to achieve what he achieved.

If the attacker was able to install a key logger without user interaction, he could have run any arbitrary code, including code to open a headless browser to view bitcoingirl’s PMs. Changing passwords alerts the victim of the hack and causes the victim to try to lock down their accounts.

Agreed. Anything can be faked but so far seems highly unlikely Side chain and BitcoinGirl.club are the same person.

If side chain was bitcoingirl.club himself... that would be one helluva twist.

Somehow I don't believe it but... no one can really know.

Why would she/he want to ruin their reputation/profile in such a manner. I mean for a person who has been in the forum for a while, knowing that even if they faked that their profile has been hacked to leak the PMs, the Legendary Account would get tagged right away, get dropped out of a good signature campaign she/he was participating and making trading deals, loan requests would be much harder for the user even after the storm calms down. All that just to prove that LFC_Bitcoin sent PM's to some members and make sidechain the hero?
All what you said makes it highly unlikely that they are one and the same. Side chain chacked in to the email account of BitcoinGirl.club and that really is where it all started.

How can you possibly read "we don't care what happened as long as you can prove the account is yours" as anything else than that is beyond me.

Actually I know how, that was just a figure of speech. When your only tool is a shit-stirrer - everything is shit.

I forgot more than you will ever know.
we're only acting on the evidence that the recoverer is the original account-owner and followed the recovery procedure.

The account went through the process and was successfully queued for recovery. Please note that this doesn't guarantee that an account that goes through the recovery procedure needs to necessarily be hacked, in other words, we're only acting on the evidence that the recoverer is the original account-owner and followed the recovery procedure.
Interesting.

I guess anyone can take this and make their own conclusions. Hopefully some people will stop believing what someone says without providing evidence solely because it is what they want to be true.

has anyone heard from @BitcoinGirl.Club recently? he's still MIA from our poker league. i thought this might get sorted out fairly quickly, especially with @Sidechain admitting to the whole thing. i guess not. Undecided
There is no "ownership change queued" entry in the seclog so it looks like he's not in the 1-week waiting period yet.

How is the Bitcointalk account recovery or lack thereof preventing him from playing poker?

it wouldn't. i assume he's got bigger fish to fry than our little poker game. i just hadn't heard from him and was wondering if anyone had.

BitcoinGirl.club posted using his pam_alt_ account earlier that the password was not sent by Side chain to BitcoinGirl.club, the low-life hacker was lying.

Sorry BitcoinGirl.Club for all inconvenience. My goal was not to do any damage. Password sent to your PM.
Why are you playing with me mate? I was excited to see the post but I do not see any PM from you. You have no idea how hard it's going on with me. Please stop it.

I wonder if BitcoinGirl.club will be in a position to report this to the Police in his country and then see if the hacker criminal "Side chain" can be investigated. It would be great if he was prosecuted in a Court of law over this.

It is sad we have not heard from him. Imagine trying to change all those logins and passwords associated with the single email account.

Whoever this user "Side chain" is, it seems he has committed a criminal offence by hacking in to the account of BitcoinGirl.club and it seems though he is still not banned according to the Mod Log

Unlikely to get banned but the admins should have at least looked into that account and seen if it was tied to any others.

Sadly I doubt this is something the police would even look into, especially just over a bitcointalk account and email address. I know they likely wouldn't here in the UK, especially if there was no financial loss. The hacker very likely used a proxy or likely tor from the video he posted. Looks like the hacker has sent the password back anyway so hopefully he'll take it back pretty quickly :
