Pam, check your messages.

To whoever did this, I hope it was worth it for a bit of fame, 5 minutes of everybody discussing DT, stirring up shit.
You are fucking pathetic & I hope karma comes for you. This is a fucking internet forum, was it really worth it. Nothing in those PM’s was bad any way, you pathetic creep.

Admin should ban side_chain btw. Fuck him

This is what I am understanding.

Yesterday evening after the poker game, I was doing my usual work. At some point, I was going to check my sportsbet T-shirt update. I was looking for the email sportsbet sent so that I get the link to fill up the form. I saw three emails. One already read. The two new with the update of they are running out of the t-shirts. So I opened one of the email, checked the link and it was taking too long time to load the page. When it was annoyingly late, I closed the tab but my system seemed unexpectedly slow. It happens sometimes and I usually force close the system and restart. I did the same and then started my usual work. When I wanted to  login in few of my accounts it always asked me for passwords. Nothing flagged me though. I did not had any 2nd thought. When it was late I gone to bed. Today morning when I wanted to login to bitcointalk discovered everything. Before everything else I knew I had to reset my device which I did.

Now I do not have access of the email. All the accounts, exchanges, business, social media, gambling sites everything that had the email are fucked up. I am contacting each of the sites to help me changing the email addresses. I am going through a lot now. In some accounts I have money locked. This will not be a very easy ride for me. Everything fucked!!!

I do not deserve it. Thanks whoever you are.

One missclick and REKT.

I saw him as a shit stirring fun troll for a while but this crossed the line.

I don't even answer phone calls if their phone numbers are not in my phonebook let alone clicking a link from an email. NEVER. Always paste the link in your address bar first so you can see which page you are going to visit.

sorry to hear this, man. no rush on returning the chips you borrowed before the game, although i would like them back eventually. Wink

you should really use a separate email account for every service. it may seem inconvenient, but when something like this happens, it's a life saver.....

Who is the user behind the "Side chain" alt-account? He was the one who was after Sportsbet and LFC_Bitcoin and the allegation being made is that he hacked the account belonging to BitcoinGirl.Club
I agree with you on this.
Side chain created this topic back in July 25th: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lfcbitcoin-sending-pms-to-his-friends-to-oppose-flag-and-bribing-dt-inclusion-5264620
that means that he is in contact with anyone that LFC_Bitcoin sent private message,
and we have seen unusual rise of accusations against sportsbet, new accounts and protectors.

One clue we have for him is that he is anti-Lauda and anti-Yahoo Cheesy
so we can eliminate some people from list of suspects

He is using Tor browser so good look finding his IP.

Yes that is a lot of work. Add to that the element of fear if that email address is used for crypto exchanges too and as you said if he has no access to the emails he cannot reset everything.

I think it seems plausible that user "Side chain" managed to trick BitcoinGirl.Club in to clicking a link that installed malware either on the device/PC which allowed him to gain control over the email account. After BitcoinGirl.Club completes the things he needs to it would be good for us all to understand exactly how the hack was carried out so others can keep themselves safe of similar techniques.

BitcoinGirl.Club should explain what correspondence took place between him and Side chain before the hack so it can be ascertained exactly how the hack took place.
I think he has other things on his mind right now:
I had to reset my system earlier and now I am restoring everything. I have so many things to worried about not just bitcointalk account.
I'm thinking of wiping all software, reinstalling from scratch, changing all passwords, and changing the email address of any services that use the same email address. That's probably going to be difficult without having access to the email address, and regaining email access might take a while too.

It is trivial to change your displayed time zone, even to something other than complete hour differences.
Yes, but Bpip showed 11:51:19 PM and if you take a look at that screenshot and bitcoin discussion, account "rodskee" posted something @12:18:21 AM, you can't really fake that .
In theory it could be faked. Although at least part of the video had to be taken on it after 12:18:21. I don’t see any reason why someone would take looking at the PM part of the video ahead of time to wait until the password is reset to take the first part.
What? That's what I am saying, video is taken after account changed password  Huh
I had not noticed the post time stamp at the beginning of the video.

I'd install a linux distribution instead of windows or mac too unless you specifically need these OS. They are pretty good lately.

I am using one since last year and I can say it is pretty good.

What you say is true but it does seem on this occasion he is claiming the account was hacked.

Just because he signs a message it doesn’t prove anything. I could do something bad, claim I was hacked & sign a message from an address owned by me, linked to this account since 2014. What does that prove?

That video was taken (according to https://streamable.com/7w307k) @ 21:29:14. According to forum time, it was taken at 12:28:47 AM:

So it was taken after password was changed. (bpip use the same timezone as forum, right

Since we are looking at a video that was supposedly taken from BitcoinGirl.club's computer, why can't he see his own smileys?
Different browser, for example Tor doesn't show those smileys.
So the next question is, who is Side chain, and then how did he get BitcoinGirl.club's password?
How do you know Side chain knew BitcoinGirl's password? It's wild speculation.

I have looked into something. According to bpip, account has changed password @11:51:19 PM:

BTC or BUST
Does he have any real reason to so this, and then spam message various people about it?
I am one of the user who received PM
there is something going on and it's hard to draw a line.

Me too, and I'll be looking into this whole situation later tonight when I'm done with things irl for the day..

Some sort of fuckery going on here in one one way shape or form for sure..

I don’t think it would be appropriate for a moderator admin to disclose confidential information to settle a dispute involving no money and only the disclosure of something that makes another forum user look bad.

It would be very much in forum's best interest to investigate an account hack and ban the perp if possible.
It would be unusual and counterproductive to ban someone hacking accounts. This would only force the person to connect to the forum via alternate means, and it would be difficult to know if it is the same person if he hacks more accounts. It would also make it more difficult to track possible vulnerabilities that need to be closed. It would be better to give the person rope to bang himself with and go to law enforcement with evidence of his crimes if he is causing a problem.

No, only admins.
And some mysterious newbies Smiley

Admin doesn't have to disclose information (like IP addresses), but could share the result of such an investigation (like in JusticeForYou's case).
In that case, the person submitted to the disclosure of information. BitcoinGirl.Club can show anyone his IP logs, which can be accessed by any user. This is also different as in this case, someone is recovering their account while in the J4Y case, he was trying to prove he was the original owner.

The question now is who hacked his account because that is some pretty shady stuff over some petty shit.
Can you use some Global Mod powers to see if there are IP matches?
I don’t think it would be appropriate for a moderator admin to disclose confidential information to settle a dispute involving no money and only the disclosure of something that makes another forum user look bad.

Based on the fact that BitcoinGirl.Club and LFC appears to be buttbuddies, I would lean towards him being hacked.

I would say the disclosed PMs do make both BitcoinGirl.Club and LFC look bad. In LFCs own words, asking to oppose the flag makes it look like he is a “shill”. Asking BitcoinGirl.Club to lie about why he opposes the flag isn’t good either.
