There is a serious fork on the network please stop mining on cga.p2p.0x0a.nl, omargpools.ca, and anomalypool.com until we can fix this massive fork. Expect coins to be lost from the last 24 hours of mining on these pools.

Please re-frame from sending coins to other wallets of exchanges. This will just add to your risk of lost coins!

I've been mining on the p2pool at anomalypool.com for the last month and a half straight, I'm on the correct chain (I checked the hash, and I'm currently on block 69763), and I can confirm that the pool went on a different fork no earlier than 9:57 PM EST, as that is the time of my last received payment. Usually, I receive payments within 5-10 minutes of each other, and that was 1.5 hours ago, so something is definitely not right.

https://cga.thedigitalmint.net is on the wrong chain, since https://cga.thedigitalmint.net has a lower height than anomalypool.

Current block: 70599

node1.cga.anomalypool.com node2.cga.anomalypool.com and both pools http://anomalypool.com/static/ and http://mpos.cga.anomalypool.com/ are on this chain.

We just talked with busoni from Poloniex in our IRC channel, and Poloniex is on the correct chain and has unfrozen our market. You can safely deposit, withdrawal, and trade CGA on there again. We're finalizing our new wallet, and will be compiling binaries soon hopefully.
Good, I already saw that my transfer from TheDigitalMint to Poloniex had arrived and my own CGA wallet 1.3.0.2 is also on the right chain, now at block 69944 .

Can you please confirm what block hashes you are seeing for the last 3 blocks? Also, I would suggest you idle in #cganomaly on freenode so we can notify you as we update our wallet so your pool doesn't get left behind.

I am continuing to try to keep TheDigitalMint secured on the correct blockchain.

https://cga.thedigitalmint.net is the correct address.

I am also trying to get other secure (SSL) and reliable pool owners to get online with CGA pools that are also secured onto the correct blockchain.

During this volatile time with forking and people still using incompatible wallets, I can not suspend registration on my pool because there not many other places where users can go and mine on the correct chain. However, I am still trying to distribute the net hashrate over the network and not just in one place which is not a good idea.

I will create a page very soon at https://www.thedigitalmint.net with regular updates on the situation at my pool and what I am doing to try to help in this regard.

For now, I would advise everyone to use "listen=0" and "connect=cga.inceptioncraft.net" in their config files. That node is the official dns "supernode" and is where all of my nodes connect to.

You may have to delete your peers.dat file and "blocks"/"chainstate" directories... Do not delete your wallet.dat file.

This will cause some people to lose coins mined on the wrong blockchain but those coins are not valid. You may wish to take a screenshot of your wallet balances before resyncing on the correct chain. That is always an option.

Bob.

The "Last Blocks" tab of P2Pool is not representative of the actual blockchain, it is a log of all blocks received by P2Pool nodes, including those from a fork. so it's kinda useless to look there for right now Tongue

Thanks, I didn't know that. BTW http://cga.inceptioncraft.net/p2pool/ doesn't list what port to connect to and http://cga.thedigitalmint.com/ looks down http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/http://cga.thedigitalmint.com/

That's because it's http://cga.thedigitalmint.net, not .com

I'll edit the P2Pool page now. Thanks!

when I run

$ cryptographicanomalyd getblockhash 69626
ced06368f3bc99fd9e630bf5643741ec5414cf6812f454fb2f45ed5396c98208

but my client is on block 69698 while the block list from http://cga.inceptioncraft.net/p2pool/ lists blocks through 70153

So I would just warn other miners that simply checking the hash of that block is not enough to ensure you're on the right chain.

And if you claim that you REPEATEDLY told people what pools are safe and who are not how come all pools are still in the first post?
To me this sounds more and more like bullcrap, if you want to do whats right for the user choose the chains that had the most miners cause it would have less impact on the majority of your miners!

That's because I'm not s4w3d0ff and I cannot edit the main post.  We did tell people repeatedly in the forum thread what pools were safe at the time.

Honestly MiningViking, I think you should go back to the trollbox where you came from and stop posting in this thread. You've added nothing to the conversation, haven't bothered to join the IRC and help us, and you've accused us of bagholding. We're not choosing the block chain because we mined on it and we don't want to lose our coins. We're choosing this block chain because the other one has irreparable problems and new wallets will not be able to process blocks on it. I'll see you on the Poloniex Trollbox I suppose.

Anyone know how to reach anyone at mpos.cg.anomolypool?  I need to cancel my cashout request because the MuCoWa address I was using no longer exists.  They haven't paid out yet, so I'm hoping to change the address before they do.  I can't find any contact info on the site.

I believe the owner has already gone to bed or is with his family for tonight, since it's around 9:30PM where he is. I will make sure that he knows about this as soon as he wakes up and I see him on IRC.

Hey thanks.  I think I figured it all out.  I got the MuCoWa to sync but I thought I deleted the address on file at the pool.  I found a backup and retrieved the address.  So I should now receive the CGA when they pay out.  Obviously they are dealing with some issues right now, but when they do pay out, it should work.  I also got the CGA wallet working by following the instructions posted above.  Thanks to everyone for their help.

I think you guys are on the wrong fork. I think you need to sync from hardcoded nodes only. Correct fork is not the longest this time. I'm only at block 69518 right now.

I think at the moment is more important than the one that uses a pool, and the pool was supposed to be on it

We will be continuing to use the chain that TheDigitalMint and Inceptioncraft are on. The anomalypool chain will be abandoned. There are problems with their block chain that we've been discussing on IRC for a while now (hours), and I will go into in depth later. I will also be writing a post-mortem report on this entire problem after it's over. Essentially, the reason why some people see transactions between the chains is because we're accidentally doing a merged-mine between them. It's crazy. I'll write about this later.

POOL OPERATORS: MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE CORRECT FORK. Call "getblockhash 69626" via JSON-RPC. If it does not return this exact hash, you are mining on a fork that will be not maintained:
"ced06368f3bc99fd9e630bf5643741ec5414cf6812f454fb2f45ed5396c98208"

REGULAR WALLET USERS: Open your debug console (located under help menu) and run this command: "getblockhash 69626". If it does not return this exact hash, you are on a fork and need to resync your blockchain:
ced06368f3bc99fd9e630bf5643741ec5414cf6812f454fb2f45ed5396c98208

IF YOU ARE NOT ON THE CORRECT CHAIN, YOU WILL LOSE ANY COINS THAT YOU MINED ON IT ONCE WE RELEASE OUR UPDATE.
We have been repeatedly telling people what pools are safe and unsafe to mine on. The only pools that I am absolutely positive are on the correct chain are below:
P2Pool: http://cga.inceptioncraft.net/p2pool/
MPOS: http://cga.thedigitalmint.com
(both have 1% fees)
ANOMALYPOOL IS NOT SAFE TO MINE ON RIGHT NOW. PLEASE SWITCH TO ONE OF THE ABOVE POOLS ASAP.

There are times when you may have to choose between a popular choice and the correct choice. There are always problems when having to choose between more than one blockchain so we must always choose what is right for the whole network, its users and the future viability of the entire coin. People will lose coins because of this decision, but it is the correct decision at this point. Once again, I will be writing up a post-mortem report on this after the whole situation is down and we're back to normal.

when i run  getblockhash 69626 in the console i get:

Quote
Safe mode: Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade. (code -2)

I guess im toast then..
I have not mined during the last 28-30 hours, used http://anomalypool.com/

First fork experience here, is my wallet not necessarily on the right fork?

It would help alot if you mentioned what wallet version you currently use...

It does not matter. The fork can occur on any public wallet version right now. Please read my post:
