what's happening to the price? It's going down pretty fast!

Supply is currently higher than demand. My opinion: some sellers were overexcited by the initial trades on the new exchange, and ended up selling on prices lower than intended. And with bids going down and spread shrinking, the bids on poloniex have been adjusted too.
Maybe a CGA thread in Chinese could help with getting more demand on allcoin.com.

How can we increase the demand?  Huh

Payment processing.

No, I don't know how to do it or promote it, but it's the bottleneck for all crypto right now, including Bitcoin. If you can make transactions happen, rather than settle, at the speed of Visa, then whatever crypto gets there first wins. And since the network is 24/7, actual settlement will occur way faster and way cheaper than the above mentioned visa card.

that's a good point..visa or banking stuff payment processing have their dedicated hardware for their money system..maybe in the future when majority of mankind embraces cryptos there will be hardware's integrated to our networks just for cryptos like [CPN (crypto payment nodes)-not real  Cheesy ] not just routers, switches and servers...this stuff is like going back to scratch i think..

Here is my strategy.
1. P2pool mine with my puny 330 kh/s miner
2. In the mean time, rent mining rigs at betarigs and mine other altcoins, sell them and buy CGA.
3. Place buy orders for 20% of the coins at both the exchanges for a minimum of 0.1 BTC per CGA.
4. Hold the remaining coins for long term.

selling is a case to case basis..if i have no other source of money to pay the bills i'll sell some now even at low prices, the difficulty is low (net hash is low) so more coins for the average miner..but always keep some that would make you happy when the price spikes..

and always keep some, especially when you like this coin..for me seeing my wallet empty is not a good feeling..this may hit top 10 or 20 or 30, we don't know what's coming but i'm sure this coin has big potential.

CGA is an investor's dream, the coin supply cannot be pumped by gigantic hash rates (inflation is very minimal) and rewarding to loyal miners in times of low net hashes.

This is why i like CGA.

I'd like to point out 1 fact regarding CGA price. I'm very certain once CGA hits coinmarketcap, the price will skyrocket on poloniex then average out after a few days.
This is advice i give to my clients, but i felt many of you should know this.

How do i know this? Read the great overview of Arielbit, as i quoted. When PMC and Darkcoin hit coinmarketcap from poloniex, they spiked 100-500%.

Watch out and be ready, CGA will not go unnoticed.

..and although unpredictable/anomalous supply, the coin supply is a bit more or a bit less constant.

So are you guys suggesting to sell when CGA hits coinmarket cap, or hold of the long run?

Edit: not that I'm intending to dump any time soon, just curious of the strategies people use.

Yah these prices are totes outta whack.  Most altcoins suffering w/the recent various BTC upheavals - couldn't be a worse time to be a seller imo.

In other words:  HODL.

Ya... I think I will. Unfortunately that means we have to wait longer for the new logo but I think it may be for the best.

Edit: Alright so this is what's going to happen. I'm going to reopen the contest to new entries. I'm going to remove the entries I feel don't really have a chance compared to the other current entries to reduce clutter. Then once we have more formidable entries I will create a new poll. Time span for entries have yet to be determined. Donation address will be re-posted.

Edit2: I won't be removing anyone's entries but will be more choosy when it comes to adding the entries to the poll.

Glad that the contest has been re-opened. I'm going to come with some really better entries this time. I hope the new logo be updated in the wallet in the next update.

CGA needs a new logo, the current one looks like shit. Offer a bounty or logo contest for a new one.

That + coinmarketcap = major spike in demand.
Here is the voting thread: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/5066-logo-contest-voting-poll/

Damn.. No shit Sherlock... Try reading at least the OP before posting...

Am I the only one that doesn't hate the original logo? Maybe I would like a different one more, but the current logo doesn't look that bad. I'm OK with it. All we really need is coinmarketcap and it's moontime.
I don't necessarily like it (and I created it!). But I do think people can do better than I. That being said I'm not sure if I am completely satisfied with the entries in our current contest...

Yeah, only one or two I liked. I never voted but maybe let's extend the competition until we get some good ones.

Yes, i forgot to read OP's Post, or maybe because it was highlighted in black and hard to read.

My mistake. I will go ahead and vote, a few nice logo's posted

The First Order of the Sacred Anomaly is currently seeking devotees and concubines. PM for details.

Uncertainly breeds religion.  The first coin with a spiritual following.

Quite an acheivement, no?

For the next 48 hours, there will be ZERO FEES on my MPOS pool! http://cga.inceptioncraft.net/mpos
After 48 hours, I will put the fee back at 1%, and will never raise it higher. I am hoping to get more miners on my pool and help spread the hashrate across pools to secure the network.

It's hard to get mass circulation of a coin when there's few in circulation. If http://inceptioncraft.net:2750/chain/Cryptographic%20Anomaly/q/totalbc is correct, the money supply increase has only been in the triple digits since it hit the exchange. I'm skeptical 14,000 coins is sufficient to build economic activity around.

It goes in ebbs and flows. As the unbelievers give up and the difficulty drops back down more coins are distributed to my flock of faithful true believers. 14000 coins is plenty, but everyone who is late to the game will just have to work with milli-CGA's. ;-)

The most natural way for sustainable demand is to make the coin circulate as currency, not just being used as investment asset - e.g. to be possible to spend it on goods and services.
Persuading businesses to accept it should probably be the next big step for CGA. This would be hard to achieve, but still - if the target is some niche where CGA could fit in naturally, the task may be a bit easier.
Of course, whether to go in that direction is up to Sawedoff to decide. It would require a lot of planning and community support, but my opinion is that even expressing such intent for the future would get CGA higher on the trustworthiness scale.

If you can actually do something tangible that's good, but just having a couple token sites or selling logo'd flashdrives and keyfobs is just the community trying too hard to convince itself it's "currency." Let's not kid ourselves, the game of alts has been reduced to I turned on my video card; I demand the free money that I'm entitled to.

Two more exchanges to look at are Atomic-Trade and Vircurex. Vircurex is an old exchange, by far the best and most professional I've used, but they're selective about the coins they add. Atomic-Trade has an esoteric assortment of coins and friendly staff, so CGA might be a natural fit. Both allow trade in USD.

No block reward in at least 15 minutes. Funny, I just got some CGA from anomaly p2pool just as I typed this and I haven't been mining there for hours. Strange no?

The difficulty had spiked to 15 recently... This coin is becoming much more elusive.
