sorry now i did my research - they are real but IMO not a very good method of cicuit overload protection when the key safety component can be adjusted to higher/lower sensitivity.

We kicked the main 200 amp breaker.

Edit:  We kicked one of our main 200 amp breakers also took down some of our switches.  When these switches went down then some of our other racks could not communicate with the internet.  We will be correcting this problem.

how do you trip a 200A breaker? that's not an accident if you know anything about the rule of thumb: 'don't load a circuit past 80% with 24/7 draw'.  Looking at eligius it seems like the breaker tripped at least twice and the system is now/still offline. (eligius stats are working today - so the absence of 128/256 stats means no hashrate)

also: 200A*80% load = 160A.  at 110V this is 17.6kW   at 220V this is 35kW.  This means that the single breaker is about 30-60% of total load

Legendary Escrow Service - Tip Jar in Profile
Here's the thing.  Ken gets nothing until he's paid out 0.0025 btc for every share sold during the IPO.  That is what is driving him and given the tenacity of this man we can all rest assured that he will do everything in his power to achieve his goals.

And you dont see ways to bend this? I mean do you think that ken and his team work all this time for nothing? No, they get their pay for sure. And the 0.0025BTC? It will never be reached. And never be paid out to us. Ken only can decide if he pays out the divs and ActM ends or if he keeps the divs for reinvestment and tries to raise profit. The current development looks like the last.

He claims dividends will be paid out only when shares are traded. And he allows trading of shares on a small basis and he don't care if shares are sold to US-Investors there. But with our shares he makes a difference. He claims he cant trade them because of a Missouri Investigation. I mean he dont allow trading for all investors worldwide because of a small state in the US? It would be easy to stop trading for users in Missouri or the US and allow the remaining users to trade.

But he doesnt. And it plays for him. He dont need to pay out divs. So he can use them to reinvest. And so on.

I see Ken is in a troublesome situation but i dont agree to forcing everyone going this through. In fact i can understand that some people complaint in missouri. Though i think they were stupid to think that they would gain anything from it.

I cant agree to the way ken forces everyone investor in. And i think it looks like he wants it this way since there are ways to handle it differently.

Dont mean to melodramatic, but breaking 200A on overcurrent is pretty stressful on the breaker,

You must be thinking of older tech? Modern breakers suffer no stress from operating at all (well I've never heard otherwise). And if they have operated correctly then the circuit has also suffered no stress - that's the whole point about them.

Ken,

Some larger breakers are adjustable for sensitivity. Electricians will sometimes install them on the lowest setting if they aren't told otherwise. Depending on your panel the adjustable part may not even show.

This has caught me before with a 400amp circuit.

Good Luck,
Shao

Considering a breaker is there to protect the integrity of the circuit.............Get an electrician to check those cables and circuit connections, NOW.

That's a bit melodramatic! The breaker did it's job, so the circuit and it's breaker are sound. The load on the circuit is being raised as new machines are switched on so at some point the breaker will likely trip during a power spike. They just need to throttle back on that circuit now and start on a new one.

Dont mean to melodramatic, but breaking 200A on overcurrent is pretty stressful on the breaker, the circuit, and its inter connections. The fact its 'likely' to trip again, is further stress that needs to be avoided, not expected.

I'd try to have all the networking equipment on different circuits than everything else. In fact I set my stuff up like that for that reason, not that I've gone over 80% on any of my circuits, but if you get a fail that trips breakers then at least the rest of your hash stays online.

Think I read something about the stats being in fail-safe mode and not reporting correctly, but the warning on the page is gone now, so I'm not sure.

Looks offline on my miners Eligius page all the stats are still updating and that red banner is gone. Maybe they are adding more power...

Considering a breaker is there to protect the integrity of the circuit feed cables (overload+overheat), your fire risk is as close as you really want it to be. Get an electrician to check those cables and circuit connections, NOW.

Are You Shpongled?
Ken, when are you going to update the website? It is ridiculous that the front page lists products that don't exist and it is not intuitive at all finding the Prospector on the site. This should be a simple change that can be done in a day. It is quite clear by how slow the cards are selling that the website is hurting sales.

@ Ken Have you tried asking for an exemption. My next question is, do you even need one if you have not been issued a cease and desist order.
http://law.justia.com/codes/missouri/2013/title-xxvi/chapter-409/section-409.2-203

After reading all of these securities outcomes I have decided to leave Bitcoin alone for a while and become a securities lawyer in Missouri. Cheesy

+1

and +100 for the become a lawyer idea!! Maybe mining is the wrong business for us!
