Has anyone actively given Shawn your personal information.  I know we have speculated it is not illegal to buy shares, but have we verified this?

This is the information he is asking from me:

Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.
I just bought this shares witht he same mind as buying loto tickets, never risked serious money. I was just curious, as i.e. I didn't knew you could resource to the MSD as a foreigner. As I said, it was more of an hypotethical question.

I understand, if you do contact the MSD please let us know what they say for a foreigner.

Thanks!

What will you guys do if you had a low amount of shares and weren't from the USA? I only own 1400 shares or so, and probably any option will require much effort for a ridiculous benefit, so I ask motived by curiosity more than anything.

I'm genuinely curious as to why so many people outside the US can't call the MSD and ask this question. At this point it's pretty black and white, you either call the MSD and find out as much information about your particular situation and then make a decision to sell on CT (before trading is halted there) or wait for the MSD ruling.

Hell, if you guys are so worried about the MSD watching you use a pre-paid phone or a public phone and don't provide them with your contact information.

There's also a metric ton of securities attorneys that would give you advice based on your situation for free by doing a simple google search.

After a 5 second google search, this site looks like it could provide you some leads directly in Missouri - http://lawyers.findlaw.com/lawyer/practicestate/securities-law/missouri

As always if anyone outside the US actually gets some information on this subject try to post it up here with who you talked with and what they said so people can verify.

Currently on CT you would receive 0.014BTC or $8.29 at current pricing. I guess you have to value if it's worth that to sell and walk away.

At least he is active on Crypto Trade -

Was online there yesterday.

Buying shares for 1/10 of the reimbursement amount?

Which would imply that it doesn't matter if you bought your shares directly from the IPO... (Which I suspect is the case.)

Well, a predicament here.

I promised to go though my post history and amend it to say that ken is not a scammer once refund check had cleared my bank.

The money has now cleared but now everyone else is saying what I was saying in the first instance - that ken is a scammer.

What to do?

He is under close scrutiny from the MSD and under pressure from Wood Law to begin serious refunds. So I think he will refund as many pre-orders as he can until the company coffers are empty, then he will liquidate the company and file for bankruptcy. How can that be a scam? Well we don't know how much money he raised in total and where it went. So obviously he will have hidden away 1 or 2 Mill dollars to keep for himself and that money will not go to refunding anyone - it's Ken's money now. A very very good result for just a years work. There may be no way of discovering where the money went without taking Ken to court for company fraud and having his books examined.

what, you mean like having 'mining outages' or having less public hashrate than one would expect from a well-funded company given about a year to get its act(m) together?

it is hard to imagine that the pool is 70TH less than it should have been at this point. IMO it means very limited possibilities
1) Ken ordered and manufactured less hardware then he claimed to have when he stated 170TH would be put in place
2a) Ken ordered and manufactured 170TH worth of devices in accordance with his proposed timeline but has 70TH or more of cards sitting in boxes unsold
2b) Ken ordered and manufactured 170TH worth of devices in accordance with his proposed timeline but has 70TH or more of cards mining to an address/es different than the publicy-known eligius pool.

Either ken is a terrible businessman or a terrible scam artist.  (hint: terrible scam artists get caught multiple times and begin to have a history of running scams and illegitimate companies that entities like the securities department know of and track)

The overwhelming evidence for the past year is that even if Ken Slaughter had good intention to produce miners, doing so was beyond his skill and organizational level and he soon began lying to us all.

I don't agree with this because there is no solid proof of any ASIC chip design at any stage. No proof of the eASIC deal, nothing. All ken did was mine with third party hardware which wasn't in the IPO scope.

Edit: How hard would it be to force ken to reveal all his contracts/documents since the beginning until now? I don't remember of any evidence for the mtgox lost bitcoins either. Everything that ken gave you was just words and mining with third party hardware.

Second edit: I misread what LorenzoMoney said so I'm retracting my statement.

Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.
Since CT is not a decentralized exchange and Ken has control over if the shares can be sold/traded or not I believe in that regard he is not following his order from the MSD.
Those shares are not Ken's, but to the holders, who could or could not be in the US. The exchange they are traded on is in Hong Kong. So what is the jurisdiction? Could someone call MSD and ask for plain English explanation of their order and could it be applied to holders out of US?

Is someone going to create AskMSD account to collect the questions?

The point here is that there is a main account (controlled by Ken) that has the ability to tell Crypto-Trade to halt trading. This has not been done.

BG:

It is still an investigation.
Re-read the cease and desist.
The office of the financial investigator, Scott Johnson [email protected] is still looking to get copies of correspondence from Ken to investors.

The Cease and Desist order is not a final judgment. It is just the court's demand that Ken Slaughter stop trading and stop his illegal activity.

It does not give a final decision on how much should be returned or compensated to though from whom Ken Slaughter stole.

Ok,

All the more reason for any shareholder to contact the MSD.

I've stated that they are requesting information in order to figure out the restitution and fines.

Thank you for the email for Scott, I'll add it to our growing list of contacts.

The overwhelming evidence for the past year is that even if Ken Slaughter had good intention to produce miners, doing so was beyond his skill and organizational level and he soon began lying to us all.

This is my opinion as well at this point.

Where are all the shareholders that believed in ken and wanted to help him so much? How are you helping him now? Smiley

The few that are left understand that there's nothing they can do at this point. It's a matter of letting the fire burn and seeing if there's anything left at the end for them. Good luck.
