How does one prosecute a "virtual identity" Huh

I'm pretty sure even in the US goods infringing copyright can be seized on the spot and anyone selling such good can be prosecuted. Copyright law is a central pillar of Western civilization, without it much of the economic system would be undermined.

It's simple, why preorder miner when you can buy shares of the company?
People do pre order because they bet the miner/chip will deliver, so why not buy shares directly?

ummmmm  Because all the ones I have purchased or been watching on Bitfunder have dropped like 90%..     Roll Eyes

What the bloody hell is happening to this company?

How can the price crash this badly, oh my god.

If two competing companies, namely Cointerra and HASHFAST can sell $17,000,000 worth of pre-orders between them then there is no excuse for us having not sold half that ammunt.

So, if this is true (and should be) and Ken is saying that we have sold 8 X the ammount on pre-orders that we have spent on advertising that means Active Mining have spent $1,062,500 on advertising.

I'd suggest that the actual figure for ActM advertising spend is significantly lower than $1,062,500 and this means that we are significantly behind our competitiors in terms of pre-orders.

I'm not going to go into reasons why this is the case, but the much discussed web-site issues may be a good place to start.

I want for someone to explain to me why on Earth anyone would invest in this company right now.  Because the way I see it the foundations are crumbling around us.

Get it sorted!

I think a few people got Rich..    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

This is why I have backed off investing for now..  If you take a look this is a pattern with most stocks out there..   Hate to say it but until this thing is regulated somehow, I believe it is one BIG RIP OFF investing in anything on Bitfunder or that other site..   I am glad I sold all my holdings(And at the right time)

But I think any copyright infringement case would be taken up in the US where ACtM operate from.

How does one prosecute a "virtual identity" Huh
I'm absolutely convinced that Ken's clever wording, combined with burnside openly stating that his exchange is for lulz only, will totaly pwn the lawmens, no matter the venue Smiley

For those who don't bother reading -- excerpt from burnside's FAQ:

"No assets on the site are to be considered real.
...
The use of this site is for educational and entertainment purposes only.
If an asset issuer on this site defaults, you have ZERO RECOURSE. (not like you have any recourse in most international BTC situations anyway.)"

Stuartuk, you look bloody retarded in this wig of yours. French wig! From 1715!? ... I mean... wtf man?

mmmm,

BAT (British American Tobacco) went to court in Belize over a new trade mark application in 2009 and won against an objection from a local tobacco company with a similar and previously registered logo. The court decided consumers would not be confused or influenced by the similar BAT design as there were not enough substantive similarities.

No major costs awarded but this gives you some idea of the highly developed nature of the Belize justice system.

I think in some small way, we achieved a degree of understanding of the current situation, yesterday. Not enough to satisfy the obvious demands that are necessary going forward, but at least some sense that Ken's attention, and skin ("....average ~0.0034"), is on the case.

For the ones who accept the risk, its late October - mid November that are the next days of judgement, and in the mean time, its a case of gleaning any valued, relevant, and FUD free information, by whatever means..........unless creativex is appointed PR man!  Shocked

Thanks again board and Ken, for your efforts.

Why do you have to wait that long:

....
I am working on hiring a PR firm.  Lot of things are going to be happening in the next few weeks and months.

so, we will see changes in next few weeks.

Here's hoping. Certainly dont want that tinderbox situation again, that ffs69 correctly identified yesterday.

Additional important news for shareholders from Ken via the Advisory Board:

First units on schedule for second half of November.

PR will post this formally shortly (re: press release)

Just to point out to everyone who keeps saying it.. the second half of November is not the same as "mid-November".

33,000 shares for less than IPO price on BitFunder. Considering the eASIC deal has been confirmed and delivery is slated for the end of November, surely buying now is less risky than the purchases that happened during the initial IPO. I don't understand why there are so many weak hands.
