A dumb question:
How will the arbitrage traders move their shares from BF --> BTCT (or other way) without Ken?

Activeminer should in no way be a part of the market price setting be it through arbitrage. If someone is a large holder he can always sell on bitfunder slowly and transfer shares to btct.
The inly reason imo for this price difference is the low volume on bitfunder i guess. So many walls are already in place even to reach the current high..

Activeminer absolutely mustn't interfere with the market. To do so would be disasterous, and they've made mistakes in this respect before.

It is up to traders to perform arbitrage.

Arbitrage is needed:
===============
Hi,

Dear investors. We have a massive divergence in the last few days.
Yesterday:
BTCT = 0.0058 BTC/share
Bitfunder  = 0.0048 BTC/share
Today:
BTCT = 0.0068 BTC/share
Bitfunder  = 0.0058 BTC/share

A difference of 15-20% between exchanges doesn't make any sense.
My proposal: I can act as arbitrageur to bring prices closer and (almost) eliminate the difference.

What I need : Ken should transfer about 2/3 (two thirds) of my shares from Bitfunder (where all of them exists now) to BTCT.
We should do this once per week I believe.
Being a large shareholder, I'm in the right position to do this job.

lol. nice try...

its not a terrible suggestions to be fair - but I think favouring one person would be silly. I'm on the fence on this one, I think parity between markets would be good, but no individual should profit. That leaves ActM to do the job, but I don't think thats a good idea because they shouldn't really be meddling with the market. Although as a shareholder I wouldn't begrudge ActM making some extra profit and sharing it out, or investing it in dev.

Damn guys, this matter ain't the job for ActM. Go ahead and reap this profit yourself, or is the problem ... you're out of cash?

Just wait and Deprived will solve (has solved?) this very inconvenient issue for all of you who are not able to realise this profit yourselve.
DONT DO THAT

It's surprising that people get surprised by this kind of stuff.  It's common practice.  I don't know how Ken's company benefits from a london mailing address specifically but corporate entities do need mailing addresses as a sort of "proof of residence" (if you want to call it that) for the artificial person that is the corporation.

Hell, check out the BI article on apple's empty building that serves as nothing more than a maildrop in Ireland.

I didn't think it was an issue but figured it can't hurt to ask.

Well it wouldn't hurt to know the specific reasons for maintaining a UK mailbox but I don't think investors should really consider this a priority piece of information.  There're many other things that are much more important and that Ken's company has a private mailbox at an outlet that's likely used by an incorporating agent doesn't even register right now so far as I'm concerned.

Why is a US business using a UK remailer? (genuine question, not suggesting it's indicator of a scam).

its just a mailing address.

The same address used by dozen of other companies (many involved in fraud). I'm sure you can understand my concern. Why is he using a UK remailer if the office is in the US?

That question was already asked.

I'm confused, why is AMC registered in London?! In what looks like a South Ken postcode, although prob a boiler room/virtual office addy. Even so, why London?

AMC is not registered in London, it is registered in Belize.  It just has a London address for mail.

I have a few concerns regarding the mailing address listed on btct.co for Active Mining - there are numerous other businesses using the same address - Dominus Consulting http://directory.thesun.co.uk/13705665, Designer Bags 1 http://directory.thesun.co.uk/10139632, Clean Air Trade Limited http://www.cleanairtrade.com/contact.html, Golden Gate http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/golden-gate, Capacity Training International http://www.capacity-training-international.com/contact.html and the list goes on.

It appears it's really nothing more than a mail reforwarder but I couldn't find this being discussed in this thread so far but there are many complaints regarding the business that used the same address - not insinuating it's the same person but some clarification would be good if anyone has already done so.

It's a mailbox address http://www.mbe.co.uk/londonvictoria

Something has gone wrong at BTCT or is it just me?

I can't buy any share, always excessive time trying to get lock

I'm getting excessive time trying to get lock as well - mailed Burnside.
Same thing happened to me yesterday trying to sell some. I think the trading engine on BTC-TC is just really slow and that's one of the strong points of Bitfunder.

I don't think it's slow, I think there's a bug causing deadlocks.
