Payment was intentionally in fiat I believe in order to avoid the BFL & Hashfast payment/refund fiasco's that we're all constantly seeing.

i cannot believe that refunds are only by cheque and not in BTC, I am flabbergasted that this seems to be a minor detail.

Yes Ken has stated that all refunds go in Fiat. All Purchases should have been paid in Fiat and BTC has no part in the buying of hardware. We are not bound to refund in BTC value. I stated this earlier as the biggest advantage AcTM Investors have going for them and the biggest downfall AcTM Customers could face if they end up requesting refunds.

We could refund everyone's money and still probably be up enough to buy some miners since we started taking orders way back when BTC was worth $100-$200 and Ken has hinted at keeping a lot of money in BTC to ride the tide upwards.

This is slightly incorrect. All purchases are in fiat with the option to use Bitcoin as the medium. However using Bitcoin does not entitle one to a Bitcoin valued refund. This is a good thing because it's the only way a Bitcoin economy can work. If all merchants had to offer a refund in Bitcoin value no one would ever accept the damn things.

Mr Hashfast-

just as you seem a bit slow to catch on/paranoid - I'm not the one after you. I'm talking about the lawyers and specifically the Judge who you should be meeting sooner rather than later. I wonder what evidence they will take into account. mmm Just keep keeping your customers happy. lol

But don't get paranoid dude, try to stay calm, I'm not interested in a pathetic little runt like you. I honestly wouldn't waste my time threatening a short-arsed, low-life, coke head - with a drug-related squint. No the big boys on the wing will do all the sorting out I could ever hope for. Enjoy.  Smiley Cheesy Wink

Eduardo - you are playing with fire. You want to cut down on the coke mate and wake up a bit - smell the coffee. You won't be getting your deals in prison, not unless you are prepared to 'work' for them. It's all downhill for you from here.  Smiley

OMG

That is the last straw for me. I'm out.

Is this weather going to have an effect? Looking at the satellite image Kansas City and below seem to be missing out on the really cold air?

Have you given up on ActiveMining?

"Also, the Hong Kong corporation has been fully established with a director appointed. We're now filing paperwork with the SEC to get everything kosher."

A similar predicament we see ActiveMining going through.

Except Ken's not establishing a Hong Kong corporation, not appointing a director, and not filing paperwork with the SEC.  Otherwise virtually identical.

My firm, IronLung LLC, has much more in common with Active Mining:  We manufacture nothing, we mine nothing, we don't communicate with our shareholders, our shareholders do not receive dividends AND our shares are not trading.  We're often mistaken for each other at parties.

No one care about the typo/error in VMC/eASIC's press release?

On top of virtualminingcorp.com website, we read "VMC uses eASIC to Achieve 24.756 TH/s Bitcoin Miner", which was just the title of the press release on 4th Sep. 2013. However, the whole website of VMC tells us that the miner's speed is 24.576 TH/s. So eASIC/VMC just made a joke?

Who cares?

No one.

96 x 256 = 24576

The eAsic press release has a minor typo - big deal? no.

ActiveMining isn't the only stock waiting to be up and running on some sort of exchange. Two mining companies I am familiar with are CIPHERMINE and BUY-A-HASH. The owners of CIPHERMINE are building their own exchange called Cipher-Trade which has been delayed until February. Neither operations have trade-able shares as they are waiting for the Cipher-Trade exchange to go live. Benny, the operator of BUY-A-HASH is active on the litecointalk forum and has posted this recently about his operation:

"Also, the Hong Kong corporation has been fully established with a director appointed. We're now filing paperwork with the SEC to get everything kosher."

A similar predicament we see ActiveMining going through.

I have a feeling that the next update will be an announcement of upcoming news because he can only give non-updates for so long.

I like your theory.  Eventually he has to get tired of not succeeding...

Are you talking about VMC? or HashFast?

HashFast's thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.6600
Website: http://hashfast.com/

The VMC's thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389343.100
Website: http://virtualminingcorp.com/

I am not aware of VMC billing or taking payment in BTC directly and offering a refund in BTC. That was the HashFast idea. When you pay on VMC you are billed in USD and pay with BTC at the current exchange rate through an intermediary service.

Ad maiora!
if a machine had shipped ken would have been screaming about it from the rooftop of that underground air raid shelter thing where he parks his car.
He's only silent about his shortcomings.
