Topic: Advantages of engaging in quality contributions on the forum. (Read 1444 times)

My friend, life is a teacher; we learn new things almost every day based on what we see, hear, or read. The Bitcointalk forum is really of great help for a lot of people here, and I am not an exception; I have really gained some exceptional knowledge about Bitcoin technology, wallets, transactions, and more. I will just tell you to keep learning. There are a lot of educational boards here, ranging from politics, Bitcoin discussion, economics, service discussion, mining, Bitcoin wallet, etc., and if you are really dedicated to learning, there is a lot more you will learn here.

Let me say from my point of view concerning the benefits of engaging into quality contributions, at first how can you know a contributions that is quality to engage on, at first any quality thread will give a read a good insight and instinct when it come across of similar problems. Quality contributions give rise or opportunity to know what  is unknown to  you. So the advantages may come from different perspectives, so it might make a user to be known through its contributions, and make a use to expand it's ability concerning what the discussion is narrative is all about.

That is why everyone and users has to wear a thick skin when critical criticism comes, in my early stage I was a novice in the forum, I was corrected, criticized and there was a time I was even frustrated. But I didn't give up and persistent with my posts, and today I am doing well. One can learn a lot of things in the forum, and if only he or she is really ready to learn. I can't really believe that I am good in cryptocurrency in my locality today.Z390 what you have to do is, you have to read more than writing now, so that you will be doing well in the future in the forum though you are trying now. But all of us are still learning and there is no ending in learning.

My English has also improved since I became a member of this forum. I don't know how many times I have been corrected by people, and some don't bother to correct me, while others make fun of me, but I later learned that thanks to this forum. In order to promote to a higher rank, I need to engage in good conversations and drop meaningful comments that others can learn from.

Thank you for this bump, I never know this thread existed until you bumped it to the first page, this is a great tool for anyone looking to become a quality member of this forum I have always advise newer members on the importance of being a quality member.

I never knew how supportive this forum could be in helping exceptional user to rank up through their constant involvement in quality discussions.

I am a benefactor of the love and respect,  other forum members are quality contributors, I never expect to have a risen in rank so quickly but with the reward for being active and productive forum members supported me to attain such rank as quick as possible.

i must say in as much as there are far too many shit posters here as a result of language barriers. many people are mainly interested in what they can do to earn rewards here. apart form posting, many engaged in bounties without enough verification and understanding how everything works. just wondering how this platform will be if merits are been eliminated.

Being constantly and actively participating for the betterment of this forum could give us many benefits but I think there are two main advantages of engaging in quality contributions on this forum and that is:

1. It cultivates our sense of belonging
2. It gives us positive self esteem

in which both of them could help us develop our own personality. Imho.

There are 5 important points from the 7 points you mentioned above that I experienced so far. Among others are:
1. Increase your knowledge about cryptocurrency, discussing with those who have excessive skills related to cryptocurrency makes me even more interested in knowing something about it.
2. Increases your chances of getting merited, making constructive and useful writing will certainly open up opportunities to get merit by itself.
3. Increases your chances of knowing more about forum rules, contributing to the forum also made me more aware of the rules that have been ignored so far.
4. increases your English and writing skills, this is one of them that I developed. Writing at length often makes me repeat a few sentences and I dont think that is a good thing to keep.
5. Reduces your chances of getting banned due to spamming,this is what made me interested and started contributing to forums because reducing spam posts is a must for all forum members.

Addition from me:
1. Contributing to forums makes me closer to those who understand forums, forum rules, cryptocurrency, trading, and etc.

Hopefully I can continue to improve my quality here. I am interested in your thread.

I'm relate in developing our English and Sentence construction , this is not just for forum but also to improve ourselves and gain confidence, English being universal language will help us to interact to anyone anytime, I'm having difficulty too in constructing sentences but I'm trying since I don't usually talk or use English in my work. It's good that we are able to earn thru posting in English at the same time we were able to practice and develop our thinking and language.

This is my favorite advantage that I could experience as a quality content contributor. As someone who are into quality contributions in the forum, I am not only educating other people with content that I am sharing, in fact I am also able to gain knowledge about cryptocurrency but not limited to that topic, the forum is so wide that it has vast coverage of topic which is good cause the knowledge that I could gain and could share is also versatile, and with just that I could fill fulfillment especially if people keeps on qouting and giving positive feedbacks.

I would like to express my point for the people who are getting into a discussion,increase your reading skills don't just reply to the topic from reading the title or OP alone and when it means quality it doesn't have to be long and perfect,if you express it in simpler way which could be understand by anyone then it is also more a good contribution to the forum and also the discussion itself.

I have recently started contributing to the bitcoin network as well apart from contributing to the forum. Yes, we all are bitcoin users and atleast some of us should definitely contribute for the betterment of the network as well for a very popular information board like bitcointalk where many people from all over the world meet and discuss about bitcoin.

I hate people who are using both this forum and bitcoin just like a money making machine and we are also well aware they don't stay here for long. Considering my local community (local language bitcoin community) majority of them just hunt for $10-$20 of bitcoin and even reach the limits of scamming people for this negligible amount. They are far from getting educated of what a bitcoin/cryptocurrency actually is and use them only as a get-rich-quick scam scheme. These people are the ones which destroy the network and people with similar interest of get-rich-quick in our forum are the low level users who are bad for the forum functioning.

I do always like the Tech boards and participate in the same very often. @Brainboss As we have spoken in PM's already, I studied only a little of computer science in my university and was totally from a very different field. Though I was very much interested in programming, I became a self-made developer and got a job in the same field as well and till now helping people in Tech boards with the questions which I can answer with very meagre knowledge in the whole bitcoin technology.

Regarding the contribution to the bitcoin network,

• I have been recently appointed as a co-ordinator,reviewer and lead maintainer for a particular local language which bitcoin.org and Bitcoin Core would operate sooner this year or probably at the first quarter of next year. I took the initiatives and translating the whole website and have partially translated the core software which would probably go live by tomorrow with the 0.19.0 release.
• Also, I do test the core software at times and would retest the already prevailing issues and PRs.

Regarding the feedbacks, I never got involved in DT drama nor would never will get involved in the future.

P.S I believe the payment I receive from wearing my signature is not just for contributing to the betterment of this forum but also for contributing to the network on the whole.

There are definitely people who needs to see this right now, I see some posts and I wonder how some has survived this long in the forum considering the fact that they cannot even write good English (it's as if they used a translation tool) and in this day and age, there are still a lot of one line shit posters, anyways I can see the good work that's being done by admins in the forum when it comes to cleaning up the place, anyways I have been following your series about the ways to conduct ourselves in this forum and while I have not agreed with some points, I have found myself nodding while reading most of them. Kudos.

Not only by engaging yourself in quality post but try and curb the entire forums cos it do help in building your knowledge about crypto. Don't just focus on beginner's and help, bitcoin, and altcoin. Extend posting in other forums

That is indeed true. Reading first before making a response is a good way to have relevance. It's like listening attentively to a speaker before saying something so that the response is certainly on point.

This is what I also do here in the forum to make sure that I am giving responses with significance. As a bonus, no deleted posts and a good post history. In addition, when you read something carefully first, your train of thought flows smoothly which allows you to create and contribute a post worth reading here in the forum.

Before thinking of money, bounties, campaigns, especially shitshows they bring to the forum, they should read what I wrote here:

My journey is what OP mentioned. I joined good campaign, stays with it for months, and rank up. Campaign I joined managed by experienced manager, so I do have to make high quality posts to get eligible ones for payments.

Before they even think about of contributing quality posts in the forum or engaging to any of the members they should really to think about reading the posts contained in the thread first. That is how I get through the forum when I was a newbie as reading more and more have fast-tracked my knowledge here in the forum and in the crypto industry. It actually have helped me composed posts at ease because I already know what I will say or reply to a member.

Botcointalk has come to endings, because plagiabot kill them, and user report will help to destroy industry of botcointalk. Furthermore, shit announcement threads also reported too, that means there are less places of botcointalk to shows their talk without eyeballs of forum users and plagiabot.
OP, I thank you for your great guiding thread, that give me more positively feelings and more confidence if I maintain my constructive discussions and helpful talks, I will do reach Senior Member rank, that is my dream, for now.

Advantages are great both for yourself and for Bitcointalk forum,
as you will maybe help some newbie, or someone will help you and you will learn something new.
Your English language skills will improve for sure (if that is not your native language),
and again that will benefit both you and overall Botcointalk conversations.
