It's very much a leader saying we're not the problem, someone more powerful than us who hasn't been near us in a long time is.

Are you inventing this technology yourself or will you then be liable to Western and Eastern influences? If you're not relying on Taiwanese chips, you probably won't get any soon.


If Africa did unify, or at least have stable borders, it could do well from the ground up.

There's no need to initially start working out what you can dig up from below the surface and cause permenant scars on the landscape. Organised and sustainable agriculture would be a useful place to grow from, and then growing industry once food and water stability have been reached throughout the continent or on a community based system.

Young leadership is good as long as they're not too impressionable and have good supports with knowledge on how things can be implemented.

A lot of countries have gotten where they are now because of failed attempts at socialism, China as an example is good proof of how a huge population can become wealthy and developed over a short period of time and the same dramatic change could likely be done elsewhere, it just isn't.

Stop blaming others for being responsible for your failures, this said people you're talking about were not colonized anymore and ever sinfe their indepency, what have they achieved that's tangible than corrupt minds altogether, I will advise if you will be another man in the likes of Nelson Mandela, a man with a vision, who got it unleashed on the people and his voice was heard allover the world, his legacies were ever relevant to this days, he sees a problem and provide a solution to it, stop blaming others for irresponsibilities, but rather begin to take responsibility in fixing those problems by providing a long lasting solution.

You seem to be oblivious to two things: How much worse China is at exploiting African's than the West you so deride and how bad African's are at screwing each other over for their own individual benefit. However, let's face it, at this point the continent is so dysfunctional and corrupt it is hard to see much of it becoming successful. The few successful areas tend to be within exclusive neighborhoods and inside gated communities that need constant security because they can border communities where there is absolute poverty. Unfortunately rich politicians stealing huge amounts of wealth and running away to live overseas seems to be an endemic problem to this continent, but maybe other countries could step up to stop them getting away with it so easily via the banking system.

Definitely there is a western influence but that's as much much we allow them and we are the once doing the worst to ourselves.  We' are way past the colonial era and somehow, we've refused to develop.

Corruption within the ranks of our leadership system has and the people under the table have refused to take power for themselves. Its not easy but, we've got to try! Giving up is the only way to failure and Africa needs to be more United.

Yes, yes, the evil westerners that are keeping you poor, wonder why the hell other counties with no natural resources have managed to bridge the gap and even overtake western countries, like South Korea or Japan and Uruguay  or Chile while Africa is full of countries that even added on top of each won't have the GDP per capita of Mexico.

Rather than trying to find a culprit somewhere else why don't you look in your own garden?

So your solution is basically to do the right things, how about you think first about what's preventing those and how to get rid of the blockage?
Because 60 years of independence and half of the countries on that continent are going backward not stagnating or god forbid going forward.

Actually poverty is experienced everywhere else not only in Africa, we has seen poverty in Europe, Asia, Middle East, south and North America. But the picture is always painted better to people to see Africa as the center of poverty. Yes there is extreme poverty in Africa and family living on incredible low daily spending. But that's the picture always painted.

The cause of the poverty is majorly neglected and not highlighted enough the extreme corruption from government of such countries goes on deaf ears on the international scenes, just many people showing how rich they are when they give aids that only temporary solves the situation.

Solutions
Western influences;
The West try to influence us so they can keep extracting our resources..

We need to be free of their influence and be independent in our national decision making

Technology
We have to invest in technology to improve innovation

We have to explore more of our immense natural resources

Corruption
Our growth is affected by corruption, a transparent Africa will be massive in development..

Leadership, Africa need a young leadership to lead us

We need unify currency to ease trade

We need to bring insecurity to the barest minimum..
