As a company, they seem to be on the same page as BitPay. I'm guessing they'll add wallet support for a bunch of other altcoins first. Cheesy

Particularly with the launch of their new altcoin exchange, Blockchain has an interest in keeping Bitcoin slow and clunky for their users.
That's true - remembering using electrum in 2017/2018 and then being unable to use blockchain to track my transactions, and then I was forced to swap to  https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/, they actually work very well.

I think they are definelty going to start taking a slower approach to bitcoin adoption, and it'll be more altcoin focused - their new exchange delves into cryptos which means they might start making altcoin explorers. RIP the old blockchain.com.

talk about being slow!
it has been more than 2 years from August 2017 when SegWit was activated and has been in use. most other block explorer has been upgraded in 2017 and the rest in 2018 and blockchain.info(.com) has been the worst and laziest among them.
today i saw that they are finally recognizing bech32 addresses (both types):
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/bc1qw508d6qejxtdg4y5r3zarvary0c5xw7kv8f3t4
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/bc1qrp33g0q5c5txsp9arysrx4k6zdkfs4nce4xj0gdcccefvpysxf3qccfmv3

i wonder how many user are still using this explorer? i have personally migrated to a much better explorer called https://blockchair.com/
Finally hehe. I used another block explorer API, it is called bitaps. It does what it needs to do.

Welcome to 2017, Blockchain! Tongue

Good thing they already support bech32 addresses on the explorer, for sure, but damnit I actually expected that they would also already support SegWit addresses on their wallets.

Damnit we're a few months off 2020 and here's Blockchain.com still using P2PKH addresses like they've been stuck in 2009.

Sometimes I use they block explorer, but I stopped using your wallet because they have serious two-factor problems, and it takes a long time to respond when someone contacts support and even when support responds, they can't solve their customers problem
