if you will continuously put your bets with high odds expect that your loosing streak will continue, as you can see on your bets you have been won with a low odds, you are betting with a high risk that is why you are keep on loosing, but if that is your betting strategy then go for it.

Dear community,
I am so pumped to see the positive reaction and care from all of you. I read most of the responses it most of them were inspiring. The addiction period was around 2010-2012 and after that I did not gamble until recently.

I am still in full control of my emotion. The money I deposited I lost them but I am okay with it. This is what I am doing:

- Not looking at any odds
- Not even logging in any betting account
- Focusing on very less football updates because this is where my addiction is.
- I am doing some other activities which is keeping me away to think about gambling
But you still bet after you survived on your gambling addiction?
Well, from here i can see your self-control and its good for you to keep going like this. Now i see a more responsible person on you. We can really survive on gambling addiction if we continue to help ourself to do so. Congrats for this one!  Smiley

Gambling is a horrible disease so if you dont feel compelled to go back to it then dont.
Similar to an alcoholic who drank for many years and decided to stop to better his health.
If one day that alcoholic decided to potentially relapse, like him you need to think about how the positives outweigh the negatives of your addiction.
Stay strong and dont let anyone else persuade you into doing what you know is the wrong thing for you ideally.

"STAY IN THE DARK"
Cool story bro, Damn I don't know how much I lost in the last 10 years or so of my gambling addiction. Heck I even would escape my job and play in a casino and then make excuses not to go to work the next day until one day they have to let me go. It really sucks but I guess I have to man up and make a turn for the better. I still played but not like before though, I just control myself (which is very hard to do) and not to recover all my losses in that (bad) run I have years ago.
Trying to not to recover the lost amount of the gambling sites is also need to be considered as a form of controlling ourselves. But you need to remember that you can't make your life earnings from gambling for that you need to go to job,or do some business.I always having control my gambling activities under my limit because I know that I can't afford much for it,if I have that money I can invest it to somewhere I can keep making assured earnings.

Glad to hear that you still have full control of your emotion because I think that is the important thing that every gambler should have.

You have done a good thing to help you control the emotion. I see that you can build new activities which can attract your mind to stay focus on those activities, so there is no chance for you to think about gambling.

I am sure that it will work well too for the others and I think they need to learn from you. I am sure that soon, you can be a person who can help other people around you to solve their addiction to gambling.

Wtf , vomit ?  Lol  . there are many words to describe but why you use vomit .  sounds gross to me  tbh .

Vomit is just the term from "going back to your vomit",,, it is because dogs and cats like to do that. They vomit what hurts them, so it is finally  out of their bodies, but in the end they always go back to it. My dog used to always eat up all his vomit so I know this term is true!

But back to the topic, it is not the easiest thing to get rid of an addiction. All of us who have addictions know this to be true. We can even give up something after a great struggle for years and it takes one incident and one moment for a relapse.

Good luck again Pamoldar, I hope you always let us know when you need us. And yes, keep doing something outside, distractions work for a while but find something you are passionate about.

You should be an example for many other gamblers in order to avoiding making the decisions you made.
You need to get some support from your family, your friends so that you will overcome your addiction because this will be disastrous for your life if it will continue in the future.

So, I used to be an gambling addict.

Long ago there were days when I won thousands in online gambling but lost all in few bets.

I remember one night I made over 2 grand only in Tennis (I used to bet in game points LOL) then it took me the next two bets to lose all including the money I initially deposited. I also remember, I got £250 deposit bonus from bet365 and withdraw them successfully even after they had very hard terms and conditions. I think I made over £1200 from those bonus. I used to have accounts with Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, William Hills, Coral, Betfair and many more betting site which I can even remember the names.

Keep depositing and playing was my second job besides my first one. I had only one goal in life which is wait for money to come and gamble. This was my life cycle for long two years:

Work and wait for the salary > Deposit the money to gambling sites and play until I run out of balance > Work and wait for the salary to come.

I was lucky that my friends and family helped me a lot to overcome from the gambling addiction and I did not gamble for long time. Few days ago I thought to give it shot and gambled. I hardly made profit but today it was a disaster LOL. I lost every bet I placed and now the balance is Zero. Damn it.

I know if I start chasing then I will lose more but a mind of me is pushing me to go for it.

I am sad that once again you have lost but in the same time, i am happy that you are one gamble who are still perfect mind during his bad experience of gambling addictive. Because it is hard to bear our loss and then once again start to earn money. But i advise you that once again your luck is not lucky in gambling, So do betting, but not forget your bad experience of past history of gambling.

The mindset that you need to have when gambling should be very brave and you shouldn't have any fear in your mind about losing, so that winning mindset plays a very important part while gambling. I hope you didn't lose too much after returning back to gambling, I don't understand those numbers if they are pounds or something else. Still, sorry for your loss and I feel you should save instead of gambling as it doesn't look suitable for your appetite. Tongue
Losing 1200 pounds has it not been assured that he has fear? He has high brave when playing gambling not necessarily people will do that including me. If I got 1200 pounds maybe I would go and go forth in gambling site for a moment and come back again when I was really sure I wasn't hypnotized by another win. Yea I hope to, but I'm not sure he can avoid that, he already knows not to pursue another win he wants but his mind is always pushing to do it again.

I bet you had a hard time to overcome your addiction. Your subconscious said that you wanna try it again and you didn't fight it. From what you have admitted here, your addiction resulted to an impulse-control disorder. Youve been lucky, you have a loving family and friends who wish you to keep yourself intact.
Anyway, it is not giving you any good reasons to continue gambling. Meditate and keep yourself distance again.  Grin lol

Do not go back to your vomit bro lol. I thought you said that your family saved you from the addiction? why then are you trying to let them down?
You should consider locking away the extra money you make from your job and gambling. Lock the money for at least one week to help you save too

hopefully those 8,000 are uBTC and not mBTC otherwise I feel very sorry with you.

Being addicted to gambling is a disease just like any addiction. But if you want to keep betting, havent you never thought about starting with value betting? I am doing that for some time already. The profits aren't that huge but I practically make consistent profits.

Hey yours is a classic gamblers tale and I’m glad that you did not loose all your money, you really need to thank your friends and family for saving you back then. When you speak about your past bets I feel you used to do adequate research, and were in sync with team performances hence you were able to win. Now when you played you played on sentiments and without due research, hence you didn’t win but now stop study your sport and then play later on.

That is a part of growing and knowing that gambling won't make you good. In gambling, winning is winning if you know how to play without emotion attached. I do understand how much loss you had but please go and get up and come back.  It's not too late to come back and learn things. Good luck to your future career and I hope you will learn from this.

I consider yourself to be lucky in the situation. You got an early wake up call by losing all your bets, now your mind and body doesn't even had the chance of feeling what winning bets are like. Once you yourself remembers it then I think your gambling addiction might relapse during that situation. Just my opinion Pamoldar I think you don't need to chase your money back and I wouldn't play anymore gambling games if I know that I have a high chance of relapsing.
