It might be true or it could be a scam. Maybe the hack is just a set up. Of course it could also be true, as we've heard from other hacks lately. It is annoying, but there will always be thieves. On the other hand, exchanges have the duty to make sure they don't get hacked and secure their stock. It's other people's property they should look after and they are responsible.
Hackers are very annoying and very cruel in taking money, with huge losses must be very painful for them, hopefully this will not happen again in other markets.

I am always skeptical of these alleged hacks that happen in exchanges. maybe because most of them were fake anyways. fake in the sense that the exchange lied and they stole the money themselves and never paid the users back. they sometimes do it because they run out of money because they make bad bets on the market and get dumped on during the market crash or something like that.

This is not new to the exchanges, they are thinking that the best way to exit is to announce that the website was hacked, this is just a simple but yet effective for them, they will pay for the legal action or cases but they dont pay the users of exchange they are in the win win situation. the users they dont have nothing to do but to cry.
BitGrail is a small exchange market and certainly has a considerable degree of risk that is easily hacked by some highly irresponsible hackers of this incident is certainly a lesson for the trading market to implement basic security such as a very secure storage wallet. Security systems such as cybersecurity in every trade exchange should go well. and with this incident, of course, international regulators should try to apply more accountability in order not to harm those who trade.

Good thing I am not using any cryptocurrency exchanges yet. They should have strengthen the algorithm of the exchange so that the hackers will take a long time to hack it. Those money are good as garbage since it is impossible for it to be retrieved and the hackers might have already traded it and spent it onto other things which are not traceable by the founders of the exchange.
