How about you, do you think AI can help balance the gambling activity of a person without complicating things out?

I think AI's can help humans in several ways when it comes to gambling but it doesn't mean it can literally stop gambling addiction rather it can only some task of which yiu have mention in the article. Everyday we keep seeing people assumption humans can be controlled using AI and this case of AI trying to balance the equilibrium between gambling addiction and sport betting if not properly examined before the AIs begin to work in this aspect it's probably going to be harmful because humans are naturally resistant to so activities expect they are willing to put to behaviours down and if Artificial intelligence is handled over this task to bring back a norm in human and their is so much resistance it could lead to a clash because they only follow one protocol and once anything goes against it then it becomes a threat to robots so artificial intelligence are not even supposed to handled such tasks from my perspective.

The main point in gambling addiction is poor self-control, how can AI analyze that its client is experiencing gambling addiction, and how it can act to balance the activities of gamblers using AI, I think it will be useless if the gambler has poor self-control, this AI will not be useful for such people, the ease of emotion will affect everything even if using AI to limit or warn gamblers for exceeding reasonable limits in gambling activities.

Addiction depends on mentality and emotionality, I think AI will also have difficulties, even when your close friend who has been provoked by his emotions is difficult to control, even if you warn him several times.

How about you, do you think AI can help balance the gambling activity of a person without complicating things out?

the only way I think AI can be of help to gambling addict is if a sort of AI is programed in all gambling site such that once one is registered on a gambling platform for instance his activities can be monitored or to make it more simple, he can provide key detailes like hoe much he is earning and the maximum amount that can ever go into gambling, if he does it that way, with those details provided, the AI can monitore his gambling lifestyle and help curtail his exceces and in some strict instances deny him access to gambling at certain time.

It's a good idea most expecially for those that can't control themselves but if that's going to be favourable for all is what we can't really tell. Possibility of exerguration is a factor but if it can be built such it puts the different class of gamblers into consideration then it's going to be a good development if not, of it eventually comes to being it's just best it's been made optional such that you have to agree to sign up for such package and not something you must do whether you like it or not.
Funny enough everything you mentioned does not need the help of an AI before one can get those details. Simple coding algorithms can send prompt for providing those informations and it will work. I think AI is supposed to give complex solution to gambling and such complex solutions should be that it can provide 90% accuracy in terms of prediction. This is the only better way an AI can be helpful in gambling, because all gambler wants to win big in gambling so they need something that think faster than them and make better analysis. If these solution cannot be provided by the AI then there is no need using an AI currently.

I don't think AI can help balance the gambling activities but it can be used as a tools for prediction. Or AI can be used for online gambling. For example a site can be opend where people can register and fund it to bet either manually or using AI mode where the AI will do your Gambling activities to minimise risk and reduces addiction, just like Algorithmic trading.

If not regulated artificial intelligence would turn humans into robots. Just like AI influence other areas, I think it could help to do research and analyse data faster and more accurately. it can also assist gamblers in dictating when they are showing signs of addiction and also recommend some remedial processes. AI could also help gambling therapists monitor addicts and get feedback about their progress in the rehabilitation process. No matter how scientists think they can control human behaviour, I still think that the responsibility to avoid gambling addiction lies more on humans than on machine assistance. AI wouldn't be able to balance human gambling activity without the willpower or determination of the individual.

It seems to me like everything is now being relied on through AI. Isn't that kind of scary?
Before, everything was up to manpower which means it will also be men who will find solutions to everything. IMO, when it comes to gambling addiction it's still people who can help cure it.
Family, friends, therapists, rehabilitation, and more that has something to do with humans doing the work to help a gambling addict.
Talk, socialization, love, care, or whatever it is that has people who will take care of it. I share everything with my wife and she knows how much I am gambling that is why I am also scared to go over my budget for gambling. This is why I won't go as far as being a gambling addict because I know I have responsibilities and I don't think AI will help me do that or think about that.

There is also a debate about whether AI can help balance gambling activities or complicate things.  There are studies that AI can help facilitate the moderation of gambling activities and identify gambling addiction since it can perform behavioral analysis, predicting individuals at risk.  it can also set as personal support and give real-time alerts.  AI having access to database about gambling and gambling addiction can be used as a tool for information and AI can be used as a chatbot to help in a therapeutic approach.  But there are also a flaw in this method since privacy, misuse and effectiveness is also the concern.

Gambling addiction is a human problem so a human should be the one to deeply analyze it and offer the best course of action, I don't think an AI can replace the aid of a professional psychologist who has degrees in handling gambling addiction.

AI can only offer a general solution but a professional can dwell on the inner feelings of the gambler so he can come up with a pattern to heal addiction, AI can replace some industries but I don't think it can in the realm of healing humans.

AI is just a tool, we can say "smart tool", that can be used for many things... If someone thinks that it will be easier for him if AI makes him a gambling schedule and records how much money he spends and makes other statistics & suggestions then that person should give it a try.

But in the end, it's the man himself and his character that determines whether he will keep his word and stop gambling. I believe it's possible to do it without any tools, just focus on some other activities and that's it... One day at a time, it will be tricky in the beginning, but as the days go by it will get easier.

Is the the therapist or the gambling addict?

Supposed to be both, since therapists can use AI to diagnose patients by feeding it the behavioral development of the patient and at the same time the patient by using a self inquiries and therapeutic advice through chatbots.  It can also be used for self-check by honestly filling up the user information regarding its gambling activity.

Without AI and brain science, actually we can detect a gambling addict.

Let's say the casino run a simple algorithm like this one:
1. Most gamblers spend 10% of their monthly income for gambling, so if someone deposit a big amount of money let's say three times than usual, this could trigger the system.
2. Most gamblers spend 2-4 hours to gamble, if someone gamble more than that, the casino can limit the account.

But, I doubt that the casino will be that strict because it will affect their profit.

That is the case, casino tend to keep the statistics secret with AI the player can program his gambling activity and use it to give him real-time alerts about his gambling activities.  Often times gamblers when get hooked forget the time, with AI options, it can interfere with our gambling activity by either reminding us or in a more severe case hijacking our connection to gambling platforms to stop us from gambling.  Obviously, it is the player's choice but if we wanted to be reminded or moderated, that will be a great help.  The only bad side is that it also limits the fun.  But the hell with the fun if it can save us from getting hooked and addicted to gambling.  I believe it is better to be moderated now, than become addicted and later forced to keep out of gambling platforms for self-preservation.  I know this can be done personally but many people are weak-willed and often give in to the pleasure of gambling even if they really don't intend it that way.

If we use AI in gambling, or allow it to interfere even with the purpose of balancing our gambling activities, then I guess the fun in gambling will slowly diminish. Try to compare gambling using a bot with gambling manually, doesn't it feel more enjoyable when we do manual betting and rely on our personal analysis to manage our betting and ourselves? We know AI is the future, but not everything should be relied upon, especially when it comes to the kind of entertainment we seek.

If the gambler only cares about winning, it doesn't matter whether he uses AI or manually analyzes the matches before betting but AI to be used on him so he can quit gambling is very possible if he agrees to the AI company. If AI keeps reminding him about his spending in casinos every time he is about to do it again, I think he will realize it's about time to stop.

It still needs the cooperation of the gambler to really stop the addiction. It's still his WILL and without it, he'll continue.

I think it's too complicated to quantify in a study. The AI's role could probably be to predict but also support like someone to talk to. Balancing gambling and your life will always be in yourself. It's the responsibility of the person if he will continue to gamble.

Maybe some moderation?

This will not work based on my experience since this kind of AI will just user to provide advice while these advice are publicly published on the responsible gambling terms of any casino which literally a guide to not become addicted.

Gamblers addiction happened on an impulse, there’s no way that an addicted person can chat first to consult some advice with AI before they bet if they already have the urge to gamble. This online addiction assistance is always useless for those who already have urges to gamble.

Artificial intelligence has so many use cases and real life application period I am so glad that we are going to see what it can doing then addiction sphere. I am kind of disappointed because I was expecting to read that AI is going to go into the brains of gambling addicts and fix some neural connections related to addiction. Well, maybe it the future it will be possible after they are able to understand the behavioral patterns . For now a follow up question I have to ask is who gets to use the AI. Is the the therapist or the gambling addict?

I don't know how AI can balance gambling activities, has AI been widely used for gambling? In my opinion NO, AI cannot help anything let alone not complicate the situation this is the behavior of how we are in gambling if excessive then we ourselves can balance not with AI.

I'm still not sure how AI can know your concerns in the case of addiction then with AI you can balance, this is unrealistic unless discipline is most important so that you can balance better gambling.

It's not that I underestimate AI, I don't know the integration of AI in gambling.

AI, brain science: Is an equilibrium possible in gambling addiction and sports betting?

While browsing the internet, stumbled on an article above   It was stated ↑↑↑ that researchers are looking for ways how AI can help in making an equilibrium between gambling addiction and  Sports Betting.

According to the article, the nature of gambling addiction is not simple.  It is is affected by different factors like psychological, social, and mental aspects.  To better understand and combat the complexity of gambling addiction, researchers thinks that AI technology can help in this situation.

Since AI can have a significant role in analyzing patterns, and predicting risk and can be used as personal support if one has some inquiries about certain topics, especially in gambling addiction and responsible gambling.  Although there are some concerns about privacy and the possible exaggeration of cases, researchers believe that using AI to understand gambling addiction can overweigh the concerns.
