I don't know is it the right topic to discuss this issue. But I think the users of this topic may be familiar with this extension, so I am asking here. Does anyone here use the AI Content Detector - Copyleaks ?
And if you have used it, how safe do you think it is?
I haven't used it, and I'm not going to risk my privacy by doing so. Chances are it sends everything you see in your browser to their server. That includes PMs, email and banking.

I have just discovered this thread.
I quickly skimmed through the pages, but I failed to understand if there is a web extension that automatically checks a post (or a page) for AI-generated content. Being a merit source, it would be nice to have a doublecheck on this.

In this case, it would be a nice addition to the BIP extension.

You'd better read the first post. There are several tools provided there that are used in this topic to check texts written with the help of AI. And of course, accusations will not be approved by moderators until they are convinced that there are several checks on several tools that unanimously confirm texts written by bots. There is no single extension, but sometimes those tools are enough.

One more tool:  https://plagiarismdetector.net/ai-content-detector

I read the OP, and I didn't see any reference to extension.
Visiting every link:

You raise several excellent points about the importance of getting started with Bitcoin and building up knowledge and exposure gradually. You are absolutely correct that the primary concern for those just starting out should be establishing an initial belief in Bitcoin as a viable investment opportunity and beginning to educate themselves about the cryptocurrency.

Many people remain hesitant to invest in Bitcoin, despite its potential, because they lack understanding or feel it's too complex. However, this can be mitigated by starting with a small initial investment, as you suggest.Indeed, the real risk for potential Bitcoin investors is waiting too long and missing out on the potential gains that could come from getting in early. As you mentioned, the only way to prepare for the possibility of Bitcoin prices going up is to actually own some.

It's also important to remember that Bitcoin is still a relatively new and volatile asset class. As such, it's crucial for investors to diversify their portfolios and not put all their eggs in one basket. This way, even if Bitcoin doesn't perform as expected, they have other investments to fall back on.
Newbies in Bitcoin should actually put their thoughts, not on the technicalities of Bitcoin, but mostly on their financial strengths, and reliability of the investment as every other investor should.
New Bitcoin investors shouldn't worry too much about the technical intricacies of Bitcoin or trying to predict market movements in the short term. In the initial stages, it's much more important to focus on understanding the fundamentals of Bitcoin, such as its decentralized nature, limited supply, and potential use cases.

While it's certainly beneficial to stay up-to-date on Bitcoin news and developments, trying to time the market or predict short-term price fluctuations can lead to unnecessary stress and potential mistakes.
That's in my opinion that is.  Well, there are other things a 'new coiner' should focus on though.
I think lowcoiners should focus more on holding and stuff like that, instead of market predictions and chasing the wind.

There's another interesting angle to this discussion. While Bitcoin has proven to be remarkably resilient over the years, there are still factors that could potentially shake the market. Government regulations, technological advancements (or setbacks), and shifting public perception are just a few of the wildcards that could affect Bitcoin's future trajectory.

That being said, Bitcoin's decentralized and open-source nature provides a level of robustness and adaptability that traditional financial systems lack. This is why many BTC proponents remain optimistic about its potential, even in the face of uncertainty. The second point you brought up—the vast majority of the world's population still having little to no exposure to BTC—is also worth considering. With BTC still in the early stages of adoption, there's a lot of potential for growth in the future. However, getting the masses to understand and adopt Bitcoin is a long and complex process.

It's true that Bitcoin enthusiasts can continue to stack sats regardless of market conditions, as long-term hodling is a viable strategy. But it would be naïve to assume that everyone will suddenly see the value of Bitcoin and jump on board. Bitcoin is currently at a critical point in its journey. The price is consolidating at historically high levels, but the future is far from certain.

While it's important to remain vigilant of potential market disruptors, Bitcoin's inherent characteristics provide a strong foundation for long-term growth and adoption. At the same time, we must acknowledge that adoption is a slow and complex process, and the world's population is still largely unaware of Bitcoin's potential.

For those already in the know, however, continuing to stack sats and diversify one's portfolio is a prudent strategy.

Precisely! DCA is not a "poor people" strategy because it is all about consistency and discipline. The beauty of DCA is that it allows investors to benefit from both market highs and lows, resulting in an average cost basis. This means that, over time, investors can build a substantial portfolio regardless of their initial financial status.
Also, the concept of DCA is not limited to any specific amount. It can be tailored to fit any budget, and that's why it's suitable for investors across the income spectrum. 💲💲💲

If you look at it though, DCA helps investors avoid making emotionally-driven decisions that can actually lead to disastrous results. By investing a set amount regularly, investors are forced to stick to their strategy regardless of market fluctuations, which can help eliminate the fear and greed that often accompany volatile markets.

Moreover, DCA can help reduce the impact of market timing.

Stumbled in one of their posts and thought it looked a little fishy. Upon further investigation, a large number of their posts are detected as AI content, with many of them being in the Nigerian local board. He's also using a combination of his "opinion" adding a few words and sentences here and there to make them more believable, and so far, has managed to stay off the radar, both in the forum and the local board. He's also seem to be wearing a signature, from SWGT's signature bounty of @roycilik. Thread can be found here

The quoted posts have already been reported, but there's an abundance of them with AI.

Holding Bitcoin can be achieved through various ways, as you mentioned. Apart from the methods you highlighted, some other ways people hold Bitcoin include buying it through exchanges, earning it through various platforms like mining or staking, receiving it as payment for goods or services, or even investing in Bitcoin related funds.

Bitcoin mining and staking are two popular methods for earning crypto like Bitcoin. Mining involves using powerful computers to solve complex mathematical problems that validate and secure transactions on the Bitcoin network. Miners compete to solve these puzzles, and the first one to do so successfully gets rewarded with newly minted Bitcoins and transaction fees. It's a fundamental process that helps maintain the integrity and security of the Bitcoin network.

On the other hand, staking is a different method used by some cryptocurrencies, where users can hold their coins in a wallet to support the network's operations. Stakers are chosen to validate transactions based on the number of coins they hold and are willing to stake or lock up. In return for staking their coins, participants receive rewards in the form of additional coins. Staking is considered a more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to mining.

Both mining and staking offers opportunities for users to earn bitcoin rewards by contributing to the security and functionality of blockchain networks like Bitcoin.

It will be of advantages of having Bitcoin as an asset during times of war or crisis. Bitcoin's decentralized nature can indeed offer benefits compared to traditional investments or assets controlled by others in such challenging situations. However, using Bitcoin for daily transactions during wartime can present practical challenges due to the need for a stable and reliable infrastructure for widespread adoption. In such scenarios, the ease of daily transactions with Bitcoin may face obstacles that could impact its immediate utilisation for day to day needs.

Regarding the scenario of a complete bank shutdown, using Bitcoin as an alternative can have limitations,  especially when it comes to converting it to fiat currency for day to day transactions. While Bitcoin offers advantages in terms of investment growth and protection against inflation, its utility may be limited in extreme situations where direct fiat transactions are necessary. In such cases, personal peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions might become more prevalent, its important having finances in various forms. When basic needs like food, water, and shelter become the top priority, the ability to access these essentials with fiat currency becomes crucial. In such dire circumstances, the local economy may not support the use of Bitcoin, making it challenging to utilize digital assets for immediate survival needs.

The appropriate time in investing or buying Bitcoin is doing it right away without considering market dips or buying during dip. Investing right away through the Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) where you regularly invest a fixed amount regardless of its price downtrend or uptrend, the strategy is a solid approach when it comes to Bitcoin. It's all about consistency and staying in the game for the long-term. Taking advantage of buying during a dip, if planned for, can indeed be a smart move when the opportunity arises. Starting your investment journey right away and staying committed for the long term is key, especially when it comes to Bitcoin there is no time to hesitate It's all about getting in the game and staying focused on your investment goals without waiting for the appropriate moment.

It's common for people to get drawn into investing when they see those green candles, indicating positive price movements. But In the world of Bitcoin, it's crucial to keep investing during those uncertain moments either DCAing, buying during dips and staying consistent with your investments even when the market is down, you position yourself to benefit when those green moments finally arrive. Being part of the group that reaps the benefits during positive market movements is a rewarding outcome of staying dedicated to your investment strategy.

Taking inspiration from early Bitcoin investors during uncertain times can be incredibly valuable. Believing in the long-term potential of your bitcoin investment, even when prices aren't moving as desired, is a key mindset that successful investors often adopt. Just like those early Bitcoin investors who trusted in the technology and its future growth, having faith in your investments during challenging times can lead to significant rewards in the end. It's about staying committed to your investment goals and riding out the market fluctuations with confidence.

It's true that individuals often try hard for financial independence which can sometimes be dispute with the tax burdens imposed by the government particularly on the middle class. It can be frustrating to see a significant portion of your hard-earned money vanish into taxes, especially with indirect taxes adding to the burden. The system does seem designed to keep the middle class in an unending cycle of just getting by without truly growing. Breaking out and achieving real financial freedom requires more than just hard work, it's about understanding the system and playing it smarter like those at the top do. By mastering the rules and finding ways to hold them to your advantage, you can build lasting wealth. It's natural to question a system that sometimes feels like it's holding us back instead of moving us forward.

To go through the system and move closer to your vision of success, it's  critical to adopt a strategic approach that aligns with your aims. One effective strategy is to focus on financial education. By understanding the details of taxes, investments and personal finance, you can make good decisions that work in your favour. Searching for approach like tax efficient investing, diversification and long term wealth building can help you break out of the cycle and build a more secure financial future.

Its disappointing to see this account boosted to DT2 already as its clearly an alt account. I'm using the new Copyleaks plugin to check some of his other posts (it would be annoying to see it on every website but for this purpose its ok).
I am not going to lie, I almost sent some merits to his posts sometime back but on looking at his posting history, something was really off. It all looked like the person behind the account had been in this forum before.

I am glad I am not the only person who noticed this. If the person behind the account was genuine, they wouldn't be hiding behind the Alt newbie account exposing scam. Something tells me that the old Alt account's reputation is already fucked, so they were trying to pull off a fresh start.

Is there any way to know who has included him? I see he's in DT2 on bpip.org but last Saturday's loyce.club update doesn't show him.
The DT2 status was probably short-lived

What happened: A user named COBRAS promoted a scam project for brute forcing wallet.dat passwords. Later, COBRAS reported the scam project, but when I asked them to take responsibility for their involvement, they refused. This raises serious questions about their credibility and motives for reporting the scam.

Scammers Profile Link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/cobras-2795868

Reference Link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64216304

Amount Scammed: The scam project did not involve any direct financial loss for me, but it could potentially harm people's computers and electricity if they join the pool and provide their computing power.

Payment Method: N/A

Proof of Payment: N/A

PM/Chat Logs: N/A

Additional Notes: If you agree that user COBRAS is a scammer, please support the flag on their profile at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3317

I would like to report fraudulent activities involving user "COBRAS" and a pool for brute forcing wallet.dat passwords. The user "COBRAS" has previously advertised this scam project and served as its PR manager, which raises serious questions about their credibility and motives for reporting the scam now.

Red Flags:

  • "COBRAS" has previously advertised this scam project and served as its PR manager, which raises questions about their credibility and motives for reporting the scam now.
  • The project promises a super income for those who join the network, which is a common tactic used by scammers to lure unsuspecting victims.
  • The project claims to have 100 GPUs for recovering wallet.dat passwords, but there is no evidence to support this claim.
  • The project's GitHub repository lacks detail and transparency, and many of the technical details go over my head, so I may not have caught all the red flags.
  • "COBRAS" has refused to take responsibility for promoting the scam project and has not provided any evidence to support their claims.
  • There is no proof that the project actually performs wallet recovery, and the use of GPUs for this purpose may be used for illegal activities, such as brute forcing or hacking someone else's Bitcoin, which is a criminal activity.
  • "COBRAS" has received trusted feedback in the past, which suggest that they are not trustworthy. For example, they have been accused of attempting to scam people by selling a fake exploit or attempting to find co-conspirators to "attack signatures".

Based on these red flags, it's clear that "COBRAS" has engaged in fraudulent activities. Their actions are unacceptable and they should be held accountable for their actions. I urge the Bitcoin community to take action against "COBRAS" and to protect themselves from potential scams and fraudulent activities.

Let me be clear: promoting a scam project is not a victimless crime. "COBRAS" had a responsibility to ensure that the project was legitimate and above board. By promoting this scam, they have not only contributed to the harm caused to other people who participated in the project, but have also damaged the reputation of the Bitcoin community as a whole.

Note:: I'm not an expert and many of the tech details of this project go over my head. Therefore, I may not have caught all the red flags.

It's interesting that you completely ignore all the red flags and accusations of scamming, and instead focus on promoting your "voting" system using hashrate. But let's be real, this is just a front for you to get free Bitcoin. It's clear that you're not actually interested in revealing Satoshi's identity, but rather in enriching yourself. It's a shame that you're using the community in such a way, and I hope people see through your scheme and don't send any Bitcoin to the addresses you provided.

Additionally, I would like to remind you that using hashrate as a way to vote is not a proper way to make decisions in the community, it's not transparent, and it's easily manipulated.

I would advise you to stop this scam and come up with a better way to contribute to the community if you truly want to be a part of it.

I took a look at your advertising thread and I have to say, it's full of red flags and questionable technical details.

First of all, you're proposing a cross-chain DeFi derivatives protocol that enables anyone with a WalletConnect interface-compatible non-custodial crypto wallet to create, deploy, and trade dynamic controlled options and other advanced derivatives and hyper-derivatives. That's a pretty big claim, and it's not something you can just throw out there without any proof or experience. Where's your team? What's your background? Have you even worked on a blockchain project before?

Another thing that caught my eye is that you're looking for financial backers and investors. Uh, excuse me? Are you trying to scam people out of their money? Because that's what it sounds like.

And let's not forget about the technical details. You mentioned Ethereum and TON blockchains, but how exactly are you planning to integrate with them? Are you going to use smart contracts? If so, how are you going to ensure their security and privacy? You didn't mention any of that.

Lastly, the fact that you're looking for early adopters in a forum like this is just laughable. Why not launch it on a reputable DeFi platform or a blockchain network? Oh, that's right, because you're trying to scam people.

In conclusion, your advertising thread is full of red flags and questionable technical details. If you want anyone to take you seriously, you need to provide more information about your team, your background, and the technical details of the project.

Good luck with your scam! 😜

Your response doesn't change the fact that you have a history of scamming and illegal activities. Pretending to be nice doesn't erase the fact that you're a liar and a criminal who has yet to face the consequences of your actions.

Your repeated attempts to deceive and manipulate others with baseless claims and fake evidence are pathetic. It's time to take responsibility for your actions and stop trying to weasel your way out of it.

Your involvement in illegal activities, such as illegally raising over one million dollars in proceeds through the unregistered offers and sales of securities to crypto asset investors, is a serious offense. You need to face the consequences and make things right.

Your behavior on this forum is unacceptable, especially in light of the findings by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the SEC, you have illegally raised over one million dollars in proceeds through the unregistered offers and sales of securities to crypto asset investors.

This is a serious offense, and it's no wonder that you're facing opposition from the community. Your repeated attempts to deceive and manipulate others with baseless claims and fake evidence are not only dishonest, but they also undermine the integrity of this forum.

Until you can demonstrate a commitment to honesty and transparency, and take responsibility for your illegal activities, don't expect to be taken seriously. The community deserves better.

You have not been received well in the community since you have been caught lying and the US SEC has discovered your illegal activities. Your proposal for a "fair election" for the role of Bitcoin Scammer President is full of false promises and misleading statements.

First of all, your suggestion to use hash power as votes in a decentralized and transparent way is not feasible. Hash power is used to secure the network, not to cast votes. Your proposal goes against the basic understanding of how the network operates.

Secondly, asking people to point their mining hardware to your Bitcoin address is not a legitimate way to fund your projects or provide liquidity. It is a scam and an attempt to get free Bitcoin. Your proposal is not only unrealistic, but it is also dishonest and misleading.

Lastly, begging to increase your merit is ridiculous when you haven't brought any real merit to the community. I urge you to stop making false claims and misleading the community. I hope that the US SEC will bring you to court for your illegal activities and protect the community from potential scams and frauds.

Bitcoin's price has been rising lately, and some experts think it will keep going up. In fact, Bloomberg Intelligence predicts Bitcoin's price could reach $100,000 by 2025.

This isn't the first time Bitcoin's price has surged - in 2021, it reached an all-time high of over $68,000.

With more people and companies investing in Bitcoin, its price could continue to rise. What do you think?

Will Bitcoin reach $100,000 by 2025?

Given the current economic conditions, it seems unlikely that inflation rates will decrease significantly. Therefore, Bitcoin continues to be increasingly valued as a hedge against wealth depreciation. Its decentralized nature and limited supply make it particularly attractive in times of economic uncertainty and inflationary pressures. As traditional fiat currencies face the risk of devaluation due to inflation, Bitcoin's status as a store of value becomes more pronounced. Investors and individuals alike are turning to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin not only for potential appreciation but also as a means of preserving purchasing power amid global economic volatility.

Two more detectors only confirm your suspicions - and I don't understand why anyone engages in a discussion with obvious AI/plagiarism? Reported to mods.

The post has been deleted, and fortunately for him, he was not nuked like other newbies who plagiarised or used Chatbot on their first day. They have not been able to write a single post ever since; it appears they were compelled to register, fish merits, and join the signature campaign but got off to a bad start. Next: bounty section.

Top 10 Legitimate Cryptocurrency Trading Platforms Without KYC Verification

I've put it on hivemoderation: 99.9% likely to contain AI generated text.

Sapling AI: 100% fake.

As an aside, I haven't read it all but such a well-structured text and saying that Binance does not require KYC catches the eye. Lol.

Yet more AI shitposts from Hopila, even though I already tagged him, what's he trying to achieve by sandwiching/prefacing the AI with manually-written nonsense/nothingness.
And the worst thing is that there's a bunch of people replying to him. I don't understand; plagiarism is a bannable offense, but using AI, isn't? It's no different than plagiarism, why isn't it enforced in such cases? This user is probably one of the most serious and ridiculous AI case at the same time. I'd like to receive a response from him. Does he think he's better than everyone else, or is he so naive that he still sees himself as a smartass who's generating posts out of thin air?
The points you raise are critical. They need help understanding how to do it in the forum; if they try to analyze it and post it, they can. Instead of doing these, they choose the path of theft. They think no one will understand if they write and post with AI. They try to claim themselves smart with AI's help but need to notice it in the forum where it is unacceptable. They have mental problems. They come to the forum to post, but they don't come to learn anything, and they don't come to teach anyone.
