i will never forget the best airdrop that ever was , i think that it was 2013/2014 , there was an thread that announced the new coin , build from scratch , you only had to send an email and you participated in the airdrop , if you did that you would have recieved 3000.000 XEM (NEM) , it is still worth something

best airdrop i've seen is ludena protocol. its a top tier coin listing on bithumb  or upbit probably very soonand giving a chance for people to get free tokens now

Just want to drop few words about airdrops that enrages me.

These are the airdrops that asks to follow/retweet/join/invite people in every social media platform. And for doing that kind of tasks you get points. The more points you have, the more altcoins will be airdropped to you. So basically it is not like an airdrop, but a competition to find out who has larger account farms.

In my experience, that kind of airdrops never pay, but want user to be maximum involved in promoting them.

well this is what makes airdrops have very long results, but not all airdrops end up like that because I see that some airdrops can be distributed in a very short time, so I think airdrops can be done when it's not too busy meaning it works when it's at time wants to rest so it won't waste time.
but it seems quite rare there is an airdrop like that. however, I reduced my activity to get airdrops and tried other things. however, if the airdrop is really promising, and doesn't require excessive tasks like verification of KYC and others, I might follow it. waste of time or not, I guess it depends on how you consider it.

Airdrops are just a way for the project to draw some attention. To give people some insight into the project, wallet, transaction, if it's listed people can try to trade it. But many airdrops are just scams, they take your info and give you worthless tokens for that. For me airdrops are ok if the project is ok, I do a quick research before I join.

I don't think airdrops are the waste of time. It depends on what types of airdrops are you joining. In today world so many cryptocurrencies coming day by day and so many scammed projects are doing airdrops, you have to choose the legit airdrops. Other thing when you join airdrops it will be referral based so you can not earned more without doing any referrals.
Legit airdrop are very short in today time and fake airdrops are very high in numbers.
For me airdrops are not waste of time you have to choose right and legit from their lists.

Airdrops are still worth it, especially with the bull run coming.  Projects that have been thought to be dead are starting to gain traction and new projects giving out semming low value tokens could be worth something significant in the near future. However, many of them are not encouraging, offering little to no value in the immediate /short term.
How do you know about the upcoming bull race? There is still no clear sign that you can confirm like that. And if the bull run begins, I believe bullshit projects will still die. Only top projects can grow

The truth is, with the proliferation of several fake projects in the industry, identifying and participating in real airdops has become near impossible. This means, you could perform over 500 airdrops and they may all end up being fakes. Though, some airdrops could spring up once in a while with surprises, overall, it isn't a wish option to solely depend on airdrops. You can take the several disadvantages of airdrops into consideration and see if they meet your expectations before deciding to join in..

As a rule, payments from participation in airdrop need to wait a very long time. Therefore, you do not need to count on quick earnings. And even when you get tokens to your wallet, it's too early to be happy, since they usually cost nothing and you can't sell them.

Like you have posted on the OP, there are several sides to this story, in my point of view airdrops are in general worthless, because even if you get your tokens without any scam or side fee payment, either the amount is really small or the tokens will never be valuable...
Of course there are exceptions to this, but from all the airdrops I've participated in none of them gave me any worthwhile value, the only valuable airdrop was from stellar last year and this doesn't qualify as a regular airdrop as it is a top-100 coin...

Most airdrops are a waste of time. spend a bunch of time doing tasks and get rewarded with toilet paper coin lol

every once in a while you find a gem . For example Ludena protocol is doing an airdrop and they already have 3 million users! Imagine what will happen once it launches globally..
Surely nothing will happen because recently we have many fake and big airdrops with million of users as they are mostly marketing tactics for some companies better never waste your time and energy in this all and do some better work like have skills or provide some services for better income which will help you for long run.

I wouldn't disagree with you on this because many projects that was fond dead some are coming back to get the needed traction from potential investors and when this happen the airdrops will be a good boost for the time used. Am also saying, the type of the airdrops matters alot. Some are still worthy of doing while some are just for the wasting of participants efforts, so, before embarking on any airdrops, ensure to verify the projects and the token real world case use.

Don't waste your precious time looking for airdrop because they are time consuming and most of it.all, they are worthless when send to your wallet. I don't do airdrop no because am good or rich but because of my time wasted during my day with the market. So keep off your ass from Airdrops.
Well, wasting time in this market. If you don't want to waste time in this market, you should trade. Definitely a great option because it will bring you immediate profit as long as you have trading experience
Definitely you're right about that mate, in addition to this submission, when you're not good in trade and don't still want to waste time on aiming at the airdrops, try holding your portfolios on a long-term even the altcoins can do wonders after this post bitcoin halve.

There's a possibility that the cryptocurrency market will take a new dimension after this post bitcoin halve as we have seen during the 2016 - 2017 Post bitcoin halve. Although, out of the thousands of airdrops participate in can produce tenth of good rewards for airdropees.

I think airdrop scam is 50% yes and 50% no, why do I say no? because I have felt the results of airdrop for example Airdrop Klay, OGN, Twt and solana and chz, I am the type of person who is careful and chooses airdrop, not all airdrops I do and only sure, although I have to complete a number of tasks
There are a lot of good airdrops in recent times, so if have knowledge and bounty ( airdrop) selection, I believe they will get a lot of profit from it. BTW don't waste time on airdrops from new projects, 99% of them are worthless
By the way we can find more good airdrops but it was few of them are now in this year, Mostly we can find are those scam airdrops spreading in these forum. But if we are patiently find those airdrop that have a good value or have a potential to hold maybe we can earn more of them. And as of now we need to be careful on time getting more airdrops.

If you have a lot of time to waste, you can scavenge those projects with airdrops. But most of the time, it will end up few pennies and might not even cover the transaction/withdrawal fees. And also, don't participate in airdrops which are asking for KYC, I don't think exchanging your vital info to few bucks is reasonable. Most airdrops now are not worth as before so I can say, most of them are just wasting your time.
Asking KYC for airdrop Ill think that was not a good Idea for most $2 for our KYC. Actually in that kind of airdrop are we need to avoid it dont sell our KYC for that few bucks. Must better to doing weekly payment or social media campaign, And yes most of them are not worth to participate it can make only trash in our wallet.

Too many fake or fraudulent airdrops at this time. Even legit projects use this campaign for their benefit. Pay later or deduct from the initial agreement. Research first when joining the airdrop.
Most of the airdropped projects don't even reach Exchanges and end up being trash tokens in your wallet. So I guess researching before participating in an airdrop is best way to make money, search for the team members whether they are real and hard-working, their involvement in previous projects etc. Mostly research about the members of the dev team provides useful information about the project, whether it will be a success or be a flop.

Airdrops are dead as far as I'm concern, profits is not there as compare to 2017 wherein in a single airdrop you can get as much as $100 for a single airdrop. But I think projects are still doing it because it is a very effective method to spread the word, so marketing wise they can still milk this kind of system. But for airdrop hunters like you, obviously the money is not there.

so far I think it is true that airdrops are a waste of time now, especially now that there are many scamming airdrops, and indeed the era of airdrops was in 2016-2017 at that time I also participated in airdrops and it was very profitable that I had 1eth in 1 campaign airdrop that time. but for the time being I don't think of forcing myself to take part in airdrops let alone airdrops which are from unclear projects
