Right now, I feel like it is. Because most of the airdrops is just to gain attraction and that's it. But i think that there are still good airdrops out there that actually will pay off. But there is only a handful out there.
some do pay, but they will only become junk in the wallet. if you want to get tokens from airdrop or certain events try to join from projects that have been successful in the market. some do airdrop events and they have a large percentage to pay and become money for us.

Some airdrops are good some are not, I read in one post that it's like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get, all airdrops looks good on the start, but as time goes by they are do not offer value in the community and they failed to get into the market, some people are leaving airdrops but some especially newbies continue to participate.
I have not participated in airdrops for a long time, which are conducted by unknown projects. But there are exceptions, when I see that airdrop is announced on Binance, I definitely participate in them. I know that Binance, advertising such an airdrop, is responsible for fulfilling its obligations.
promoting airdrop program will not harmed us as long as we didnt sent ethereum to claim it. some airdrop want it from airdrop hunter and some people harmed too. if we talking its wasting time or not , i thing it just speculation when we sacrifice our time to work on it. when we met legit program we will earn huge money and vice versa.
The danger for us personally is not there if we just do the promotion without giving ETH for claim rewards, only unfortunately for those newbies who do not know or who do not understand about this, so they immediately give ETH to claim the reward from the Airdrop. 
for me AIRDROP is just a waste of time because many of them are scams, on the other hand I am also confused to see many people wasting their time just for airdrops. I mean about sending Eth charges just to claim Airdrop tokens.
If this airdrop requires us to send ETH to receive tokens, I am sure those projects are scam. Never waste time on these bullshit projects, they just want our money and give us useless and unlisted tokens anywhere. 
I see airdrop as waste of time mate. It is not profitable. Some projects promise huge unit of token and it released, you feel bad because the value is too poor.Again too they are mostly scam all the way. Example, someone referred airdrop to me and after I sign up, they started requesting for etheruem 
Asking for eth to become eligible for the airdrop is an obvious scam and no one will buy it unless you're a newbie and dont know much about these things. Airdrop is a waste of time even its free, majority are scams and you cant get anything from it so its best to stay away and find other ways to get coins.

if you send eth to claim your airdrop token its totally wrong action. real airdrop never request some ethereum to claim reward. only scam project that do this and now hunter already understand about it and they prefer to avoid when met this program. not all of airdrop program waste our time, some of them give us worthed reward .

Most of the airdrops are actually waste of time. Firstly what will you even do with 2-5$ Airdrop ? How will you be able to sell this on any exchange and withdraw ? However once a while some Airdrop do pay as high as 50$ which is fair but not always often.

Well, in my opinion this is a very cool distribution and there are very few of them at the present time. You are lucky and that's for sure! And do not remember what the conditions were? It even became interesting, since for the first time I see such numbers.

the right choice because it looks like this project looks good seen from roi which still reaches + 200%, unfortunately now projects that hold airdrops from bithumb are not too legit, most kyc events they always airdrop which is estimated under $20 but more dominant $5-$10.If we were in 2017 - 2018 era when everything was really worth it even just a little then you can do it.
