Some airdrops require personal info from their users like government approved ID proof, a selfie with it, contact number, email, address etc. Does this information really required? How to know if somebody is scamming you for asking this kind of information?
Personally, I think asking for all this information in an airdrop is not really necessary because they are personal details and should be kept personal. Though I do not do airdrops but I do not think you should supply this information to an airdrop.

I haven't done any airdrops that require authenticate, and I think of all of them as scam airdrops. I don't understand why airdrops would ask for this. Their motivation is very doubtful. Is it to steal our information?

This may be your way to identify fake airdrops, because those airdrop projects that require proof of identity and selfie are false!

I prefer to not to join anymore in any aidrops because now a days some of airdrops are wasting our time and effort and they want to steal our personal information and sometime our account.

You should know that sending of governments approved Id is to prove if you are human or some one trying to hide he or her identity.  You are only scam if you put really money. If any airdrops ask you to send money that airdrop is scam.

It is definitely scam. I know airdrop don’t need a requirement that you mentioned this or kyc. Airdrop is coins free with the condition of you have to register beforehand. Many coins airdrop who does not sell.

Well if this airdrop will.ask me.to provide the documents they needed i will immediately get out of that project ,im smelling not good. The documents you pass will be use in scamming or illegal activities.

Don't do the KYC on airdrop. Almost airdrop token is useless because it does't match with minimum trade required from exchange and you can see the token stay in your wallet like infinity. If you want to earn more, join bounty campaign and you will earn enough to trade.

This is KYC , they collect your information to prove you are human . But I think airdrop don't need KYC , you should be careful when  giving information to someone because it can harm you

Some good Airdrop like Midas protocol require personal info. Its a policy called KYC but I believe in it. Most legit ICO require KYC nowsaday.

i think that was so suspicious.. because airdrop doesn't need an ID or kyc... maybe in bounty campaign there are some bounty that needs kyc.. but in airdrop i dont think that is required.

I have also encountered such a request for an airdrop, but I refuse to fulfill their request, because this behavior I think is touching my privacy, it should be a fraudulent project!

KYC requirements for bounty and airdrop campaigners are in my opinion impractical, although it is already found in many projects. I think all the same there is a certain risk when sending your personal documents

I think this maybe a form of anti cheat when the situation so much cheating, but also be careful when providing information for Airdrops because there may be some scam projects they will use on bad intentions

I think the airdrop project almost only needs your email, Twitter or Facebook, Discord's account, I have not encountered an airdrop that needs proof of identity!

There are now a lot of airdrops using id verification by the government. I find it funny how they sold their information for just a few dollars.

Most of the airdrop projects I do don't need KYC. If it asks me to provide any personal privacy, then I will give up the task of completing it. This is my choice!

Personally, I do not think it is really necessary to supply all this personal information before you can participate in an airdrop. This information is personally and should always remain personal because you are not even sure if the project will be successful.

Most of the airdrops I did just needed my email, phone number or help them forward some articles and didn't ask for any identification!
